Park Inn by Radisson Residence Riga Barona, Riga1 / 23

Riga, Krišjāņa Barona iela 40 🧭 Map
I have seen a thing that should hotel management pay attention to, the front door is proximity sensed and open each time when pedestrians pass by, a huge waste of energy.
I stayed here for an extended time for work. It is an interesting looking hotel in a decent location with lots of shops, resturants and the old city in walking distance. The rooms were a very nice size, with a kitchenette with dining area, living room, bedroom and bathroom with glass shower. The staff were great, the lobby has a small bar / snack area. I was very happy with the stay. The only complaint...
Pros: Very clean, easy check in, the hotel itself is quiet, apartment style layout as room of choice, super close to tons of restaurants, a Rimi, 2 gyms, and the Galleria. Cons: The outside can be a little noisy at night. You may hear everything depending on where your room is. No self serve laundry, free parking (be prepared to walk!!), nor fitness center. Bedroom in the apartments can get pretty...
In order not to have to worry about getting home after the anniversary dinner in the restaurant, we rented a hotel room. I don't know, due to a coincidence of circumstances... but we were given a room 2x bigger than what we had booked. Maybe you recognized Latvia's most active bloggers by face 😁 And that's not all... we got a room with a balcony, which has a great view of Barona Street. It gave me...
This was the best apartment hotel we have stayed in so far, it is 10/10 and possibly the best place to stay in Riga. Definitely recommended for families with children as well as couples or even business. Receptionists Jana, Tatjana and Ieva made our stay with a small baby so comfortable that we literally felt at home. I did not mention the design of the hotel, the rooms are very comfortable, the lighting...
Clean, fresh large modern rooms, affordable.Very accommodating staff. Only downside is the shower which sprays water on the floor, but there is a floor towel at least. Geat stay overall!

I have stayed at this hotel in the beginning of September and really loved it. First of all, the location couldn’t be even better it’s in the heart of the old city Riga and the decorations of the place is really good. I had an apartment Iren Adler, it was a huge cosy apartment. I’d be very happy to return another time
Yo, it was best of my best experiences ever staying in Latvia! Although it says its 3 star its not! its BETTER! ill give it all 4 to 5 stars hotel. Rules are simple to follow. Security got you all covered. If you need anything you can reach out to host and he will deliver you your needs in less than 30 min!!!!. Beds are comfy! kitchen included. Shower is nice and comfortable. Walls and interior are...
Changed to 5* (I'm not used to give 5* but thinking better the hotel deserves them). Wonderful atmosphere. Every tiny details were very nice. Very big room. Perfect clean. I would appreciate a place to put our big luggages but the room was so big that also on the floor they don't bother you. (Dancing Room).
Excellent location! Riga Old Town is beautiful and full of historic monuments and its justinutes away from the hotel. Love the city and my first time at Sherlock was nothing but perfect. Will definitely return.

Strong water pressure. Not enough storage. Not very warm.Location far from centre 36 mins walk.18 mins on tramway. When we entered the service lady was not happy.
Decent place for a decent price. It’s a couple of bus stops away from the center, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The downsides are the thin walls & the lack of furniture to store any of your clothes.
Nice location, not far from the center. Free parking in the inner yard. Comfortable bed, property was quiet at night. Inner yard is used for smoking so we could feel the smoke when the windows were open. The particular apartment we stayed at was not very cozy and some things seemed in need of renovation, but in general it was fair value for money.

Let's come clean, not everything was bad at all. I liked tasty breakfast, minimalistic style of hotel rooms, presence of iron in every single room and a settlement of hotel and thus a nice views. The first problem was a horrible functionality of elevators. It's not normal to wait for "your ride" more like 10 minutes. Had to use fire escape stairs several times on my way down from 12th floor. Another...
Very average experience. Reception staff was impolite, lacking in manners. Shower had an empty shower gel container (as we had a big group with several rooms booked, others also reported the same). Trash bin was not emptied. In addition, rooms are old with signs of wear, though it does not affect the rating. Also, found out that I qualified for spa centre based on my room selection, had I known that...
The rooftop bar has great views and is worth visiting. However, it was a bit awkward when the waiter gave us the menu, and we found that the food options were limited and not suitable for us. After sitting for just 5 minutes, we awkwardly returned the menu and left to find another restaurant. The waiter was very friendly.
I recently stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel and had a mostly positive experience. The location is fantastic, being close to the old town, major tourist attractions, and a variety of restaurants. The highlight of the hotel is the Sky Lounge on the 26th floor, which offers stunning 360-degree views of the city. I highly recommend visiting at sunset and for night views – it’s incredible. The hotel also...
Average experience and some alarming practices that make me confident in saying we won't be returning. As for the stay - everything was fairly average. Rooms and halls are starting to show their age. There are some weird and uncomfortable solutions probably because of the age of the building as well, like having to change elevators or being asked to not wear bathrobes on the way to the SPA because...
Modern style! Very good breakfast, has chef omlete stand and a lot of choice available. Nice and clean rooms. The best view of the old city.

The places is perfect to get to old town easily. Breakfast was great. The room was clean and neat. And there was even pool table on one of the floors. 5/5. Though some people might have an issue with the sounds coming from the corridor since it isn’t very isolated. For me it was’t an issue.
We stayed for two nights with breakfast included, which was excellent – a wide selection and very tasty. We had a superior room with a view, but the windows were either fogged up or frozen, making it impossible to see through them. The room itself was not modern and needed renovation, but it was clean. Also the radiator in the room could not heat the space - it was cold. The bed was super comfortable...
The rooms have huge windows and paper thin radiators. Thus the rooms are not heated enough. We were very cold during the night I had to put my jacket on the duvet. Maybe the locals are used to sleep in such cold rooms but I was not satisfied at all. Also the room door doesnt have insulation so if there is noise in the corridor you can easily hear it in your room. The room was very spacious and had...
Everything was wonderful — the room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was attentive. The hotel is pet-friendly, which is always a big advantage for us, as we are travelling with our child and dog. The only small remark is that the bathroom seemed a bit dated for a Radisson-level hotel. Overall, we were happy with our experience and would gladly stay here again. Thank you for the pleasant hospitality
The room view is perfect if you have taken a river view option and the breakfast was decent as well ! 15 min walk to the old city, Transport options are available as well with bus no 22 as an option if you are going to the airport which is 5 min walking distance. My husband and I were there last weekend and we loved it! Everything was 5*, from check in to check out, just amazing. Very kind staff, the receptionist was very helpful! Beautiful big rooms, beautiful building, great SPA! The breakfast was one of the best ever with champagne served, the pastry section was amazing. We just loved everything about this hotel!
Splendid hotel in a perfect central area of Riga, with excellent service. We loved it - the decor and quality of all amenities such as the bed and bedding, bathroom, room size, and the common areas of the hotel. The spa area was out of this world! Bonus of an excellent breakfast with a wealth of choice of fresh tasty foods.
My wife and I stayed at the Grand Poet by Semarah Hotels and checked out earlier today. Our experience was thoroughly enjoyable. Stunning hotel, perfect location, friendly staff and a good buffet breakfast. Really enjoyed our stay at the Grand Poet Hotel, all places to visit was about 10-15 min walk. We were happy we were upgraded to a superior room. And it was really spacious for me and my friend who needed wheelchair accessibility. The toilet was huge. The breakfast buffet was great - love the bacons. I also love the herrings and the cake...but there are lots of dishes to enjoy. Parking is free.
We spent three nights at the hotel, in three different rooms and I can say that it's a good hotel with great location near the old town. On the top there is a restaurant with stunning view of the river and old town. It's so romantic. The hotel rooms are comfortable and clear.
A very good place to stay in Riga, and feels like becomes a tradition to stay at this hotel, twice so far.. To clarify - breakfast is good and stuff is friendly. Forgot my sneakers last time there 😂, then I've contacted the reception and (woww) in few days my Nike was on it's way back!!
Good breakfast buffet. Free parking. Good location if you are willing to walk about 1k across the bridge to get to old town. Good public transportation options only .1k away. Decent rooms with a view if you are high enough to be above the obstructions and are on the river side. Good A/C which can be a factor with the more than occasional heat wave. Not sure why but the heated towel rack is always...
The mattresses and pillows were horrible . Definitely not a 4 star hotel . Breakfast was nice. Bathroom was quite good , very spacious. However I wouldn’t stay again there because of the very worn out mattresses .
It's my second day staying at the hotel and know my impressions are positive, the room on the eighth floor is quiet with a very good view of the river , the old town and the parks . I will avoid staying in your Mercure Riga because of three reasons: 1. The humiliating procedure of making a deposit of EUR 50 in cash during check in and waiting to check out until the hotel employee inspects the condition of the room and the availability of towels. You have my credit card number, I have signed your T&Cs. Should be enough to solve any issue. 2. A week before arriving , I've sent...
Very average hotel. For breakfast there was no bread, a lot of food plates were empty, huge line near coffee machines, because of lack of coffee itself. Staff hardly managed to work with such amount of people. Maybe in less busy time it would be better.
Hotel is very close to train station and city center and old town AC didn’t work Room had a distinctive smell Windows were dirty from the inside in a very wired way There was deposits required and there was no information about it beforehand Hotel is more for German 50+ guests than single travelers
Rooms and location of the hotel is ideal ! I just think they can hire better staff who knows how to greet guests and be welcoming. Like when I checked in they have given me room access key and it wasn’t configured and I came back to reception to get it configured. It’s the second time it happened. So they just need to hire better staff for reception. Otherwise it’s a nice hotel to stay. Breakfast is...

Nice Park Inn hotel. Nice room in a quite big as hotel. The hotel has a restaurant. The breakfast is quite good. Unfortunately there are not enough seats to accomodate all the people that can stay in the hotel.
Location is not very good, however they are not far from the center (by car/taxi). The area is a bit weird and the arrival is quite complicated. The bartender is a very experienced bartender and makes the best cocktails. The hotel is located in the old town of Riga and around the hotel you have alot to see and do. We had an amazing stay!
Great location in the heart of the Old Town. The restaurant was lovely—I especially enjoyed the dry-aged steak and the attentive waitress. The bar had a nice vibe, though it’s more of a cocktail bar than a typical 5-star experience. There’s no formal drink menu, but the young bartender crafted unique cocktails based on my personal taste, which was a refreshing experience in drink culture you don’t...
We moved to this hotel as we did not like our original hotel. Receptionist who made our reservation and checked us in was extremely helpful and pleasant. Unfortunately I have to say that the room stunk! The bathroom/toilet didn’t have an outside window, wouldn’t have been an issue had the drains for this room not had a foul odour. You couldn’t leave the door open to ‘air’, because then your room would’ve smelt. Very good place. The room was big. I have two comments, though. The room was extremely hot. I had trouble sleeping and I was sweting like crazy. Also, we had a strange leak in the bathroom. Fortunately, we had enough towels to keep it in control. Breakfasts were ok. Service was great and helpful. Location is very good. Very close to public transport, yet, very quiet.

I was upgraded to a superior room which was awesome. The bed was very comfortable. No mini fridge (this is an issue in summer). Breakfast was ok but breakfast room was too small. Location is convenient: steps from malls, buses, restaurants etc. 15’ walk to old town. Staff polite.
Pros: Good location, great front desk executives. Cons: The design of the hotel is complicated. Getting to the lifts itself is a labyrinth. There's ups and downs and dark parts and lonely parts - I would assume that it would be difficult for the elderly. The breakfast area is strange. The buffet is spread at one place and the actual dining area is away. The tea/coffee machines are at another place...
This is my second time at this hotel. I have booked and prepaid a double bed room for one person for 6 nights. Reception welcomed me and after the usual procedure I checked in (though I had already checked in -web). I was given my key card and went to the room. It was a two bed room two beds, two duved, two sets of towels... etc a typical tween bed room. I reported this to the reception and I was...
Minimal bedroom, I gave three stars for two reasons, first, the window which unfortunately I cannot open completely. Secondly, being here for work/study, a desk where I could lean on without having to disturb the staff downstairs would have been convenient. And here we come to the 5 stars of the service, I have used very little but the staff is always smiling, ready to chat both in the morning and...
The hotel is very close to Origo shopping mall. The staff is kind and helpful. The hotel is clean and the rooms meet average guest expectations. One undesired point: The room was quite cold and the air conditioning did not work when I turned it into heating mode. And maybe the hotel administration can employ a staff member at the bar after 23.00 o'clock to help guests who enjoy spending time there...
Standard IBIS hotel. You get what you pay for and for 50€ a night you shouldn't expect much. Small room, nice shower, clean enough for just sleeping over for a few days. Reception was very helpful and location is ideal for train station, buses to the airport and the old town. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel just out of the centre. However easy walk to all the main places and bus/trolley service stops just outside
Great location with an affordable rate! We booked two rooms, and the hotel is just a 20-minute walk from the Old Town through a lovely park, close to the embassy district. Paid parking is available (€20 per day). The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms are clean, though they could use some renovation. Breakfast exceeded our expectations with a wide variety of food and delicious...
Budget hotel about a 15 minute walk from Old Town. Clean rooms, small but well-appointedroom, good breakfast. Would use again.
Very very good breakfast! Parking is expensive, it is much cheaper to leave the car on the street overnight.
Ok hotel to stay for a couple of nights, but definitely not up to a four star standard , quite worn out for that. Location is good, though.
Well located, spacious and clean room. Parking available. Breakfast could be better but it was ok nevertheless. Wifi is also very good if you are working

Furniture in the hotel could use a refresh and it was rather cold in the rooms. They provided us with an electric heater so we could endure the temperature. Breakfast was decent, although it was the same everyday.
Had a pleasant stay at MONIKA. Room was quite large and clean. Mostly quiet environment. Only a 15 minute walk from the old town. Breakfast buffet is delicious and you’ve got a lot to choose from. Staff was really nice too.
We were pleasantly surprised by our visit. Obviously, things could be improved on, but it's a solid 3* hotel. Outdated, but the staff are friendly, and everything is clean and well presented. Good breakfast and a great location. The rooms were spacious, and the hitel had a cosy feeling.
It is okay!). Breakfast was good. Location is " more or less". Room is good, not big, but view on the street is interesting. There is white bathrobe and slippers. Taxi they offer is a bit too expensive..better order on yourself something else:)) Hotel itself is beautiful creates lovely atmosphere.
Great base for exploring riga. Not in the old town but 20 min walk. Near to the art deco and central area of riga which have amazing restaurants. Great breakfast so much choice. Room smelled a bit musty but has everything you need, balcony and spacious bathroom. Would recommend, great value for money
A very nice hotel, conveniently situated close to the city centre and the old town. It is located in a beautiful historical building and the interiors are beautiful as well. My only complaint would be that the rooms' equipment is a bit old fashioned but that is not necessarily a bad thing I suppose.

Stayed here over 7 years ago. What a place. Still the same high-quality hotel made perfect by the friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Had to come back to sit in the bar for the afternoon and share memories of our last visit. Great location, just off Dome Square. This time, we got to experience the Chrismas market. It was one of the best we've visited. If you're looking for the authentic Christmas...
Finally a hotel that gets it! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and as soon as you enter you feel like a guest and not a customer. There is always someone to help at the reception, and beverages and cookies ready to take. When entering the room we found a hand-written welcome letter, chocolates and other sweets. There were all kind of amenities in the room, a filled mini bar and every evening there...
I really enjoyed my stay at the Grand Palace Hotel. The staff at check-in were so gracious and friendly. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. I loved the turn down service in the evenings. The hotel is very close to the cheerful Christmas market. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and in Riga. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to the city.
Great service from all, good comfortable rooms and excellent central location. They already do things for you before you have to ask! We arrived early, left bags with them, and came back later for the room. They had already took bags to our room. On way out our flight was in the evening and we booked the hotel car for airport transfer. We went to reception to get our bags... And they were out waiting...
I saw the hotel at booking.com and thought the room was pretty. The room I booked was spacious with old fashioned interior. The breakfast was good, but I hoped for more dishes to choose from and the variety was small. They would make a warm dish on the spot, you could choose from eggs to pancakes etc. The cleaners came to the room twice a day and got us water, chocolate and put out slippers by the...
Fantastic hotel! Clean and comfortable room, excellent food, great location! Thank you to staff for the hospitality! Amazing parrot Misha (Michelle) in a restaurant...!!! We became friends very quickly... ☺️

Good budget hotel. Despite its visible age, the rooms are clean. The 24-hour reception is a plus. You probably won’t find a cheaper hotel in the area near Riga’s city center. In summary, the hotel is worth its price, but breakfast is not recommended. It costs €6.50 and only includes a pre-prepared set — a croissant, roll, small portion of jam, cereal, milk, coffee and juice. It's better to take a short...
Well, it's a very simple hotel definitely not for a long stay. For a night stay it looks ok. The breakfast is very poor. Prices are ok. If you're looking for a budget hotel, this can be a good choice.
The hotel was located in a soviet era neighborhood, old and dirty. The room in this hotel was very dirty and smelly, we tried not to touch many things around the room. The air was not fresh enough, fully opening the window in this neighborhood on the first floor was not an option. There is no lift for the floors above. Breakfast costs an extra 11€, when seeing the room, we didn't want to try it at...
This is a budget hotel. Close to a tram station and the city center. The rooms were clean but pretty small. We had no towls and had to ask for it. The room card dident work either. But the staff was nice and helped us. For some reason The beds in our room had diffrent matresses one very hard and one soft. They do NOT have AC. But you can open the windows. The bathroom smelled like cigarett smoke after...
No bad place to stay. Very close to city centre, walking distance. Cheapest rooms in town. I would recommend it for short stay in Riga.
Classic 3 star Hotel experience, the room was small but clean, the shower usable, having the TV was nice. Nothing really of note to be said about it, it did its job well.

We had a comfortable two nights stay here in December. The hotel room was ready at 10:30am when we arrived which was convenient, it was a clean and beautifully furnished room. The hotel sauna was a nice extra touch considering the freezing weather outside. There was a slight mistake/confusion as to whether the breakfast was included or not (the receptionist at check in telling us breakfast was included...
A22 Hotel is a true gem! Located in a gorgeous Art Nouveau neighborhood. It’s the ideal mix of peaceful retreat and city convenience. We stayed in the Suite, and it was pure luxury. The Art Deco design, Bose speakers, deep tub, and thoughtful touches like welcome sweets made it feel so special. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. The 24-hour sauna was a highlight—perfect for unwinding anytime. They...
We had a great two-night stay in early July. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with lovely L’Occitane products. I especially appreciated the Qibla direction marked in the room—a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend this hotel!
😭The negative: -Hotel looks great and beautiful but have some issues -Have to move 3 times from my room due to air conditioning leaking -Wierd personal: The receptionist(man)ask me for lost the umbrella every day during my stay what is telling about hotel level) Are you guys serious about it? 🤩The positive: -Breakfasts are amazing and delicious 🫠 -Location is great right next to a big park and...
One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve stayed at. Stunning art deco interior. Well appointed rooms with all the amenities needed. They have a nice breakfast spread with a la carte options for the eggs included.
We wanted to say a big thank you to A22 hotel team! As soon as you enter this gorgeous place, you feel a warm welcome. Staff is incredibly kind, professional and go out of their way to accommodate all your needs. Our room was very clean and overlooked a gorgeous park. Fantastic dinner and breakfast at John’s restaurant. We would highly recommend this hotel!

A very nice hotel with an excellent breakfast. The room was spacious and clean. Nice beds too. It was kind of cold in the room, so they borrowed us a heater. They have a very small gym too..
Excellent hotel in the centre of the city. Many bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The rooms are spacious and of a high standard and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed for 5 nights with friends and found Riga a very clean and interesting place. Highly recommended.
It's at the edge of the old town, so it's close to the river, but also the old town. Breakfast spread is nice. Stayed at the deluxe room with a small kitchenette. The room is air-conditioned which would be needed given the unusual heat they are expecting this summer. If you'd like to stay in the old town, it will be a good option.
You won’t want to leave Riga if you stay in this beautiful, historic hotel. The rooms are exquisite and modern. The views of the many sites in Riga are spectacular from your windows. It is a 15 minute or so walk from the train station or a cheap Bolt ride.
This is a great place to stay in old town Riga. The building is an amazing example of Art Nouveau architecture with breath taking facade. The rooms are great and the breakfast is to die for - so much to choose from and all very fresh and tasty. The staff are very friendly and you can also do your own laundry in machines in the basement. The restaurant provides great food and wine. I can't fault this...
This is a wonderful hotel at a quiet corner in old town Riga. Major attractions are within walking distance from the hotel. Loads of cafes/bars/ restaurants at walking distance. Convenience store is close by. Room is spacious . The kitchenette in the room with necessary utensils is a helpful addition. Bathroom has lots of space. Breakfast menu has good options .
