I will avoid staying in your Mercure Riga because of three reasons:
1. The humiliating procedure of making a deposit of EUR 50 in cash during check in and waiting to check out until the hotel employee inspects the condition of the room and the availability of towels.
You have my credit card number, I have signed your T&Cs. Should be enough to solve any issue.
2. A week before arriving , I've sent you an email with a question regarding parking conditions. No answer so far.
3. When you send a reminder email where you ask for a review, the subject of it should be "Kind reminder," not a "Reminder".
Our agreement was about the room for one night. You provide clean and nice room, I pay for that agreed amount of euros. That's it. End of cooperation.
I have no obligation to write a review. Therefore, you have no rights to push for it, especially in a rude manner with Reminders.

Spa 15€ for 2h, cold "hot tub" they advertise it cold pool. Water doesnt flow away in shower, all comes to sauna floor. Walls and foolrs needs to fix. In steam sauna shower didnt work, couldnt wash seats

Very average hotel. For breakfast there was no bread, a lot of food plates were empty, huge line near coffee machines, because of lack of coffee itself. Staff hardly managed to work with such amount of people. Maybe in less busy time it would be better.

This hotel was a joke. We came to the breakfast at 9:00 and it was full, overcrowded and almost no food, cutlery or even glasses. Staff was hopeless and did not refill things promptly. How can you not build breakfast room and serve breakfast accordingly to the number of rooms/guests??? This is hotel school 101. I have visited so many Accor Hotels and have never seen anything like that. Also the staff and receptionist could not anyhow helped us, did not say sorry and handeled the situation really badly. Only the Asian receptionist was quite nice. The room itself was good, but the temperature was low and we were in front of the elevator so we could hear the bell of the elevator all day and night. A nightmare. The shower gel was not refilled and I needed to go to the reception in the middle of the night because noone could bring it to the room. The staff and management of the hotel should do some basic customer training.

Like when I checked in they have given me room access key and it wasn’t configured and I came back to reception to get it configured. It’s the second time it happened. So they just need to hire better staff for reception. Otherwise it’s a nice hotel to stay.
Breakfast is also limited, breakfast is usually served between 8-10am. But if you go to breakfast area at 9am then most of the breakfast is gone and you are left with some bread and butter.

Hotel is very close to train station and city center and old town
AC didn’t work
Room had a distinctive smell
Windows were dirty from the inside in a very wired way
There was deposits required and there was no information about it beforehand

The hotel has serious maintenance and construction problems. It also has a rather small for its size dining - breakfast hall and this is exacerbated by the fact that the hotel works mainly with groups eating all together. The personnel was rather unable to copp... Grateful to the manager (office near reception) that solved some problems I had with my room and made my stay for a week perfect.

Everything is great, except that the luxury room was sold at a greatly inflated price, since they checked in at night and did not provide bed linen for the third person!! They brought a pillow and a blanket with a stain!! And at the same time they did not compensate for the inconvenience!! I don't want to go to this hotel again.

The location is very convenient, with the city centre nearby and a shopping area just next door. The room was comfortable, and the bed was especially nice to sleep in. Breakfast was alright, with a few options to choose from, though it wasn't outstanding. The staff were professional, and I had no issues during my stay. Overall, it was a good experience and I would consider staying here again.

I didn't get good impression at the reception as I checked in. No greeting, no smile and unfriendly stuff.
I booked a twin room with 2 beds but we had a small double room at the top floor with low ceiling.
No shower curtain therefore the floor got wet and the water was flowing all over.
