Hotel opened in 1984, renovated in 1999. In this mini-hotel 95 rooms, 5 floors.

Recommended for elder generations.
Not recommended for people with eczema.
The bed triggered the most severe eczema irritation of my life. Red patches all over my body, itchy skin 24/7 including sleep. It ruined my days in Riga and the following cities I travelled to.
Fortunately the service was great as I told this to the reception staff. Housekeeping then changed to softer bed sheets which improved the situation. I wished they offered this right when I checked in.
Good:
- Big room: Plenty space to put luggage and everything.
- Convenient location: Walking distance to most attractions in Riga.
Bad:
- Dated design: The design is just like a normal hotels 20 years ago. The elderly would enjoy it but it was not for me.
- Old furniture: They seem to have seen better days. Not saying there are stains but I wasn't comfortable to say the velvet chair and the carpet were dusty or not.
- Plug locations: No plugs near the bed. Unfortunately I didn't stay long enough to remove my dependency of phones near the bed!
- Horrible breakfast: I had one breakfast at 10:15am, and everything was cold. Pretty sure they were there since 6:30am. Not great especially when I paid 18 euros each person for it.
- Early housekeeping: Service was great except this. They knock on your door 9am and ask if they can come in and clean. Again for the elder generation waking up early it'd be fine, but I had bad nights from eczema so I didn't like it. They were fine once I told them to come later though.

Nice location, easy to come with car and near old town. Quite small underground parking garage was included to our room, easy to drive there. Friendly staff and sauna with great view. The breakfast was a little disapointment, we went to breakfast about 9.45 in two days, another day much empty plates, coffee was finished, mentioned to staff who took the empty jar away but never brought it back at 30 minutes. Other day same problem, no glasses, no juice, no scrambled eggs, ham, etc.

The rooms are crammed with tired old wood furniture. We had too moove sideways to get to one side of the bed. No electric outlets by the bed to plug in chargers. Air-condition is noisy and ineffective with old dial controls, no thermostat. Bathroom seems to have been remodeled with gut fixtures, but bathtub very narrow to stand in to take a shower.

Found a hidden gem – sauna with a view and stayed for 2 weeks instead of moving to Jūrmala 🙈

A clean and quiet hotel right next to the center of Riga, close to the old town.
The room was clean and spacious. Although the hotel was very clean, it was also a bit worn and would need a little renovation. The lift was a little noisy and the movements were sudden and jerky.

The staff make this hotel stand out amongst great hotels. Definitely recommend considering this hotel if you come to Riga. Great location, comfortable rooms and facilities.

We stayed here for 2 nights , loved every bit of it , it’s 10 min walk away from the old town , brilliant location opposite the park.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful in every aspect ,the rooms have both shower and bathtub .
The sauna on the top floor has a very beautiful view .
Definitely staying here next time I visit Riga ,
