One notable downside is that the rooms are not adequately soundproofed, which can be a disturbance during the night. The noise from people knocking on other doors can easily wake you up. This lack of proper insulation is a notable drawback.

Additionally, it is worth mentioning that the hotel does not provide complimentary slippers. However, it's possible that complimentary slippers are not commonly provided in hotels in Singapore(?).

In terms of location, Hotel 81 Hollywood is not the most convenient if you plan to use the metro extensively. However, there is a bus stop nearby, which can be a suitable alternative for transportation.

This is a budget hotel. Good for one or two days stay. House keeping staff are friendly. Male receptionist staff are helpful only one old lady at the receiptionist is not friendly and very rude which makes my stay was not welcome.

Budget hotel with unpretentious, simple rooms. Some rooms equipped with mini fridge and in-room safe while others are not, so if you require this you can ask for it. Laundromat and soda machine located downstairs. Sound proofing is poor so bring ear plugs. Sundays are busy during the day with migrant workers on "short" stay. Room tip: ask for room at high floor with high uneven number (x11, x13) as those are furthest from the elevators and facing away from the street.
