La Flora Khao Lak - SHA Extra Plus

Excellent hotel. We stayed there for 2 weeks over Christmas. The rooms look nice and exactly like in the pictures. The beach is good,sandy and with an adequate number of sunbeds. The bar has a great sunset view, and happy hour cocktails. Breakfast has ample choice and is tasty. The Christmas night buffet was the best food I have ever had, with lobster, sushi and ribeye among the highlights. There is a band in the evening that our kid loved Joy and Coco. Only downside is the slightly expensive bar. You can buy prepaid credit at the reception for a discount.

Nice resort in a good location! We were just a bit unlucky with some problems with our AC. Our room was humid all week even if they tried to clean the filter etc.
But the resort was nice and room was spacious and clean. I can recommend it.

Arrived here just before Christmas as the last leg of a Thailand holiday looking for some relaxation. Check in was great and they gave us an upgraded sea block room (although you can't see the sea from it) ahead of our check in time. The hotel has some pros and cons:

Pros:
- Rooms are a decent size and clean with nice, small balconies
- The breakfast is good and not crowded with loads of options
- They make a lot of effort with evening entertainment and special events like the welcome drinks and BBQs
- Staff are excellent and friendly
- Spa is great value if you choose the special packages
- Muai Thai boxing looks fun (although we didn't try it)
- Lots of water sport options
- The BEST thing is that you can use the facilities at the Vela hotel and Kukolo beach club. It is much less busy here.

Cons:
- There is a big problem with the sun loungers. They are crammed in and you are sat within inches of the person next door. Despite lots of notices, people put towels on the best loungers and don't use them. They do not police this properly. Go to La Vela instead!
- It is really a family hotel and they don't advertise it as such. I would not come here as a couple - it is too crowded and little privacy unless you go for a poolside room but those just look at other buildings.

Overall, good hotel for families. Not the best I've stayed at but thankfully after we'd realised we could use the beach club 100m down the beach then things improved immeasurably.

Positive:
- Beautiful Pool areas and garden
- Modern Rooms
- Nice sandy beach
- Breakfast with exceptional good coffee
- Lots of shops, restaurants nearby

Negative:
- Sunbeds at the beach quite close to each other, hence feels more crowded
- inhouse food & drinks slightly overpriced.
Tip: Buy drinks/snacks in their own hotel mini supermarket right next to the lobby - price is fair.
- breakfast can be busy at peak times

We recently celebrated our daughter's birthday at La Flora Khao Lak, and it was a truly memorable experience. The hotel staff went above and beyond by preparing a cute pink birthday cake and decorating the bed, which made her day extra special. They even set up an extra bed on the terrace without us having to request it, as we were traveling with two children. These small but thoughtful gestures showed us how much they care.

The long pool running along the hotel was fantastic and made for easy access and relaxation. The breakfast buffet had a good variety of food, although the egg and coffee stations took a bit of time. It would be great if they could add more stations to make the service quicker.

Spa treatments are wonderful

The staff were generally friendly and attentive, though the restaurant staff seemed a bit overloaded at times. Small things like missing cutlery at the table or giving us coloring pages without crayons were little details that could use improvement. These weren't major issues, just little things that would elevate the experience even further.

Overall, it was a wonderful stay.

We had a great time here between 8-12 April. We booked a pool access room in the middle section of the resort. It was good for us as the pool area was quiet and it was calm at night.

We enjoyed the beachfront area. Good for walks and the local area was clean and tidy.

Our two children enjoyed the kids club very much and also the kids pool with slide and mounted water guns.

The breakfast served here was excellent. Lots of choice and decent quality. Better than the breakfast we had at the Banyan Tree in Phuket. Also, the food we had during the day was tasty and good value for money.

Thank you to all the staff who made our stay so enjoyable. We would love to come back.

Special mention to one of the staff in the restaurant. I think her name was Dew. She spoke English well and was very attentive at all times. She seemed to be working tirelessly to keep all the guests happy especially during the busy breakfast service.

Parking is a bit far from hotel but there is many shuttle to take u there and take u back.
This hotel has many different zone which you can walk around and see and use all facility if u are in any of the room.

This place is great!! Its got a beautiful courtyard on the beach, kids club, kids water park play area, great pool, pool bar, trampoline, restaurant, etc... You can rent a little catamaran and sail, 1000 baht an hour, paddle boards, everything.
Staff is great. They have a fire show every night at 7:30. Land and sea buffet, 1300 baht includes one lobster. Highly recomend checking this place out!

The room was so neat and clean. They will welcome you with air-conditioned room and aromatic scent.

The food was tasty. The location is just close to the beach. ⛱️
