Amarin Hotel Patong

Didn't stay at the hotel but the restaurant was terrible. Watery, uncooked and nasty. I would recommend just going somewhere else

Really bad! Especially the service. Bedsheet was used, we got it replaced only to find out the new one was torn beyond repair. The laundry man laughed when he found out, it was not funny. The washroom door doesn't lock and the extra bed given is of cheap quality, again with a torn bedsheet and a towel instead of a quilt. The other side of the room has no AC and it gets very hot.

There were cockroaches in the hotel common areas and even in the room at night!! The hotel is cheap but this is not worth it. I left after only two days and booked a cleaner hotel in the area. Sheets have stains on them. Find attached a video of a cockroach in my room.

We went to eat at this hotel's restaurant and chose it because it started to rain heavily as we walked past it.
I think this was the worst meal in a restaurant among my dozens of trips to Thailand, and it was very unexpected and sad, because Thailand is a country where you can usually have very delicious food.
The papaya salad was seasoned with some very strange tasting sauce and did not look fresh at all.
The fish tasted like mud. In addition to everything, it became clear only when paying that the price of the fish is indicated in the menu for 500 gr, and since it was 1 kg of fish, the price was twice as expensive as in the menu. The papaya shake was very watery and tasteless. The only good thing was fresh coconut, but here the only part of the local cuisine was making a hole in it.

Dirty, outdated, not secure. Do not stay at this hotel. Calling it a hotel is a gross manipulation of the word, truly more a motel. Building and rooms are in desperate need of a facelift. Room wasn’t spotless, exposed pipes, stains on sheets and towels. Front desk is disorganized and open concept. Staff is nice, but doesn’t compensate for the cleanliness and comfort the price warrants. Do not recommend.

The hotel didn't look anything like in the photo.
Not safe. My personal belongings were stolen from the room with only the hotel having access to both sets of the keys and receptionist assumed we were checking out on that night and only house cleaning entering the room as seen on CCTV.
Hotel manager and owner asks you to adjust with the theft as such things are common and the hotel will refuse to take any responsibility for it even after proving it on CCTV.
There are two doors to the room with only one accessible by you. Anyone can enter from the other.
Rooms are directly open to the street. No barrier. You step out and it's the road.
No security personal anywhere.
The water is dirty all the time.
Much better places available around.
