The food was very bland and didn’t look appetizing, the drinks were very bad the lemonade tasted like water with a few drops of shweps, the mango tasted very bland like it was store bought, the spaghetti bolognese was very bland and looked not appetizing at all, the chicken kebab was okay, the Thai noodles were just awful, and the curry was okay and the place had some kind of funky smell. I would not recommend coming

I stayed at the Grand Orchid Inn for 3 weeks and I couldn't have made a better choice. Nicko and his staff are always available with excellent advice, smiling and available to the customer. The hotel is excellent for the price/quality ratio. The best thing is definitely the location, as it is located in a fairly quiet area but still a 5 minute walk from both the beach, Otop and Bangla Road. Absolutely "guest friendly", it is nevertheless frequented by a discreet and never annoying clientele. The only flaw is the lack of a lift, but if you compare the quality/price ratio to the location, discretion and tranquility, in the end you'll even be happy to climb the stairs. If you are Italian it is the ideal place to feel a little at home, but the staff was available with guests of all languages ​​and provided valuable advice and suggestions for tours. The only positive thing is that the stay didn't last long. The room was dirty and lacking in everything. Fridge didn't work. Non-existent room security. Every day we had to return the key to the owner. In doing so, there was never clean and fresh air in the room. Dirty bathrooms and smelly showers. which cannot be called showers Comfortable bed but dirty sheets who knows what liquid Yellow and shabby pillows There is no lift service AVOID SAYING THAT YOU ARE ITALIAN P.S. If the owner offers you a beer, know that it is not offered...

Food including pizzas and Thai food served were tasted authentic and nice. I would recommend anyone to come and try them if you want to taste different cuisine of food at one stop in Patong. :)

The servers are very polite and friendly.

It's so lovely to meet both boss lady and deaf boss there; both knew Thai and international signs. They're friendly and funny hosts! I would recommend anyone who is sign language users to try their food too and interact with them if you have the opportunity! :)

Overall, food was good and cheap. I ordered a variety of dishes and my favourites were the green curry, deep fried prawns and omelette. The basil pork was good but not the best. I didn’t really like the pad Thai as I think they added ketchup to it.

The worst hotel I've ever been with mold, dirt, no cleaning and condoms under the bed. Bonus was flood in the room with all things in water from the sink. They lie also with the price of taxi and made you to pay more then they tell you in an official message. There was mold in bathroom, very "used" and dirty bed. There was dirt everywhere. I paid for a DeLuxe room, 34m2. We got small room right in reception with a view to wall and aircondition. I tried to change the room, but it was impossible. I paid for 3 nights, we had to leave because of very bad conditions and they refused to give us back even 1€. The hotel also aranged for us a taxi from the airport for 3 persons 800 bath, it was a lie. When we came, they told us we have to pay 1000 bath just like this. With a paper in reception that the price is 800. Price with Grab was 827 (there is a photo that officialy is 800 for 3 pers). Terrible hotel and approach of owners.

Great Staff & bosses .. Friendly but non-intrusive. They may ask about your plans for the following days & have some suggestions. Nicko has a travel agency to organise island hopping trips , trips to other destinations , e.g. i went on to transfer & stay at Phi Phi Maiyada Resort organised by them.. Kim is a great shy Italian chap u see till late in the night who helps organises stuff when bosses are busy.. Also lovely May as well who checked me in on the 1st day .. They have suggestions & recommendations but they are not forced upon you .. U can listen & absorb, to see if whatever was suggested , suits your plans & interests. See you on my next trip!!

Had our last dinner in Phuket here, no regret! The food is fabulous for the price and the boss/waiter (หนุ่มหล่อ in glasses) is very friendly too! Highly recommend the lime steamed fish and crab glass noodle in pot 😁

The Orchid Restaurant.
Dined here three times over our week in Patong. First time was at lunch & meal was great. That meal consisted of Green chicken curry & papaya salad. Very nice Thai cuisine & authentic. Second meal was for dinner & meals consisted of Deep fried sweet & sour fish, chicken satays, & chicken stir fry. Last meal was the same deep-fried fish for me (my most favorite meal in Patong. I smash them by myself. so tasty), Deep fried prawns & veg, spring rolls & mango sticky rice. Great service & the entertainment is the two Indian restaurants either side trying to get the customers in😆

Delicious food and drinks at reasonable prices, cheaper than what is on the Main Street. If you are Deaf, the owners can communicate with you in Sign Language to order your food and drinks. Awesome service too!!
