Mirage Express Patong Phuket Hotel

My stay at this hotel was an absolute disaster. We specifically requested a room with no issues and a quiet environment through Agoda, but when we entered our room and opened the window, we found plenty of bird poop on the exterior ledge, and the smell was awful. After complaining to the front desk, they reluctantly changed our room to one next to the lift, which was bound to be noisy.

To make matters worse, the staff only treated white guests with respect, while being dismissive and rude to everyone else—an experience that screamed white supremacy. The hotel itself is old and nothing like the misleading photos on Agoda. There were mosquitoes everywhere due to stagnant water, signalling poor hygiene.

Frustrated, we requested to speak with the manager. The Indian national male manager was extremely rude and dismissive. He moved us to another room on a floor where painting was ongoing, and the smell of paint was overwhelming. He expected us to inhale those dangerous fumes throughout our vacation! At that point, we were angry, and he suggested we cancel our booking with Agoda.

After nearly 3 hours of back-and-forth discussions with him and Agoda, he told us we wouldn't be able to get a refund, leaving us no choice but to stay at the hotel. We continued waiting for another hour before they finally got us a room without bird poop on the window ledge, away from the lift. All in all, we wasted half a day and were too exhausted to do anything.

The location is equally terrible—situated close to a Muay Thai stadium, ensuring loud noises throughout the night that made sleep impossible. Between the rude, discriminatory staff, unprofessional management, outdated facilities, poor hygiene, and unbearable noise levels, I would strongly advise avoiding this hotel at all costs.

This hotel is not friendly for LGBTG people the reception speaking so rude and not polite to my friend who is LGBTQ , saying my friend she is “ladyboy” before going inside, this hotel so rude , I will not support this place and I will tell all my friends what was happening, LGBTQ plus in Europe is very open and now equality everyone is the same , should not treat them like that a lot of people would not be okay with this because you will lose a lot of European customers

Booked one week. Checked out after one night.
Ac in the room was smelling bad. So much moist in the room that our clothes was vet in the morning. Can not close none of the windows. Extremely loud outside.
Dirty walls and dirty shower.

When you're staying somewhere you want some basic comfort. The pillows are huge and hard as a rock. I had to sleep on 2 (wet) towels because they could not give me new towels because "housekeeping was gone and the room was locked" and didn't have any other type of pillows. Staff was very rude too which is very surprising for Thailand where people are wonderful. At checkout they said I broke a lamp and I have to pay for it. They brought the lamp down and it had a line on it somewhere. Another staff thankfully said no it's not broken, it's fine. But that was not good.

-They'll only give you one key card so if you are more than one person you have to somehow manage.

-There is no full length mirror in the room.

-Shower has an open glass into the room, so there is no privacy in the bathroom, you can see through from the room.

Basically there are WAY better places to stay with way nicer staff at same price point and location. Avoid staying here for sure. You don't want to get accused of breaking something and having very uncomfortable sleep.

It is a very poor hotel. There is no cleanliness. The hair dryer provided in the room is fake Philips. When we were using it, smoke came out of the hair dryer and it caused a short circuit. The whole room is filled with the smell of smoke. When I went to tell the FO employee about the incident, the employee did not even apologize to the customer. It is extremely bad service.

1- An administration that does not understand the art of managing and dealing
With customers (mood rules)
2- The reception staff are bad
3- Swimming pool working hours according to their mood
4- The internet is very poor and the room was changed twice because of that
5- Bathing tools are not complete according to

8- The adaptation is hot and we had to change the room
9- Their management is very bad. The staff is bad
They don't know how to deal with customers
