Location: 40 km from airport in Phuket, 1 km from the centre of Patong beach (Patong beach entertainment centre), in the South of Patong Bay, in a private Tri Trang Bay.
Consists of a complex 3-storey buildings set around the swimming pools.
Total area: 900 m2 45.
The hotel has 414 rooms.
Beach: private sandy beach on-site public beach in 30 m from hotel, the first coastal line. The length of the beach - 150 m, Umbrellas, sunbeds – no towels – free of charge.

Friends came to town and wanted to stay here. This was my first experience with an all-inclusive resort in Phuket. Amazing service during the entire stay and one of the best breakfast buffets I've had in Thailand. Cute private beach with a house reef for snorkeling or diving. Only wish is that one of the 3 pools was adults only.

The staffs are really so nice and friendly, Nina at beach grill restaurant served us patiently and took great care of my baby girl. Also, Alkin at the reception is passionate and considerate too. More than that, the room is comfortable while the food is delicious.

Super great service from all the staff especially from Nina! Highly recommend if you want a hotel that has great amenities and activities for the whole family. I would definitely come back again. There’s lots of restaurants to choose from at the property. Wonderful time here overall.

This place was incredible! I’d only recommend getting the all inclusive package though, otherwise it would be super expensive. If you have the all inclusive package then you can enjoy the whole resort and all its restaurants as much as you want without worrying about money. The pools are absolutely huge and there are THREE of them!!! Was such a beautiful place to stay, sunset at the rum shack was just beautiful, the lovely rooms and beautiful food.. the pool bar was fun. The kids just LOVED it (ages 8 & 10)…just amazing. I’d go back again without skipping a beat 💖

Where do I begin... This resort is fantastic. Clean, perfectly located and has it's own private beach with world class corals ready to see with complimentary snorkeling gear. Can't fault this place. The rooms are beautiful, the staff is so helpful and willing to go the extra mile. Couldn't have picked a more perfect stay for 12 nights

This place is very old. The rooms are a little run down and the lighting is just horrible, nothing cosy about it. The beds are good though and they keep the rooms clean.
The food is not very good (don’t expect authentic Thai food) and the place only has one restaurant where you actually want to spend time (beach grill). This restaurant overlooks the ocean and beach beautifully. Also the rum shack is nice and has great views and cocktails.
The staff is very friendly though although it is not always easy to communicate in English.
The pools are very large, but lack ocean view which is such a shame since the ocean is so close. The water feels a little dirty though. Just so many bugs floating around and bits of fungus visible. Then again, the pool is so big that it must be very difficult to keep clean. Although the kids pool I found the water very dirty also and that is a small area.
There is not much around in walking distance. For most things a shuttle is required. It is not expensive but I think there are much better options available.

We booked a 5 night stay at the hotel after looking into many other options.
We traveled a party of 5 people, 2 adults 3 kids.
And the stay was no less then amazing!
The rooms were clean and well maintained. Everything about the room was dated from bathroom to the living room.
Staff were extremely nice and helpful.
The pool is awesome, wide and spacious they even have floaters for kids.
The breakfast was outstanding with a wide range of options that will meet anyone's needs and personal preference.
The gym has regular towels as well as chilling towel.
The equipment is new without any signs of tear.
The only down side is that it is a bit far from the center were you can buy snacks and basic necessary thing for a long stay, but the hotel does offer a free shuttle service.

A very well managed and maintained property. The hotel room were modern and functional. Breakfast selection was ample with a lot of variety.
The Thai evening buffet on Fridays is the best way to sample the local flavors and watch a few rounds of Thai boxing. The major plus of the hotel is their lovely staff who will go the extra mile so that you have the most enjoyable holiday. Would definitely recommend the hotel.
On the suggestions side the pools would be a bit more enjoyable if the water would be cooler. Some of the dinner buffet offerings (Grill Buffet and Carvery Buffet) could be uplifted. They did not offer the same quality as the Thai evening Buffet.

Really exceptional experience at Marriott Merlin Beach. We enjoyed our stay from arrival to departure. Every single one of the employees was incredibly friendly and helpful and we felt truly welcome. For our family it was great to enjoy the different dining options including pool bar and swimming pool in general but also be close to a very natural experience in the sea where we could watch fish and other species directly in the shallow water. Please keep up the good work and we can highly recommend this place if you want to combine a very good resort experience with an amazing glimpse into sea life.
