Perfect location and every comfort for a stay in The old town. Close to the tram stop which is critical for visiting all the major and minor sights.
It has a roof terrace restaurant which is good and a happy hour from 4pm to 7pm so you can sit and watch the boats go by on the bosphorus at the end of a hard day sightseeing
The restaurant staff are really friendly and make you feel like a house guest. The guest relations manager was exceptionally helpful and cheerful.
The breakfast egg menu became a favourite.
The rooms are comfortable and very clean

DO NOT STAY HERE- 2 full days of food poisoning. Lucky breakfast poisoning did not hit until afternoon so was able to be partly productive day 1. Day 2 entire day in bed or on toilet. Not even able to sit up and work :(
Teach everyone about hygiene.
*luckily I travel with Pepto and anti-nausea med. Used both days. And I do not take meds
**then the last interaction the person at desk told me I was lying as I was the only sick person at their hotel. It’s their hotel that made me sick I’m 100% certain. I have been in turkey for 25days now. And none of the other hotels made me sick. I pretty much only eat breakfast.
**also, I do not lie!**
The male -Berak that gets a bunch of negative feedback. Did provide me potatoe and coffee w Lemon and Powerade to help me feel better in the evening. This was nice. Thanks.
Had to have housekeeping come and I changed out some items and was saw bell man so he likely told him. Either-way. Nice.

Car was a hassle. Knew it would be for 1 night but bell guy helped me out
Room- the put me in a tiny closet the first night but it was worth points so I accepted my doom. The next 2 nights I paid with cash and it was a bit of a fight to get better room but did get.
Food- basic when compared to other Hilton’s throughout Türkiye.
** Hilton staff and chef need to wash hands frequently. Wearing the same gloves for hours doing multiple things is NOT clean hands, it’s the same as mo gloves.
Glad I have a kill day today as I’ll be in bed most of the day.

I’m in bed unable to download their checkout paperwork, put phone (not computer) on airplane mode so to force internet over cell data. Pic shown. Bc internet sucks. Will day Hampton in had great internet. Double trees has trouble with Istanbul being the most horrible / nonexistent.
*I really should have stayed at my last hotel, really debated it, was on outskirts. But much better hotel than this one.
Hamam- Attempted- fail - hamam was told they are different company and “sorry busy”. Also no walking around.
They have a main walk through and sitting area in lobby closed on 1 side. Makes absolutely no sense. I’m watching people with canes etc walk around for no reason at all.
Management needs to come by with some cognitive processes.
Ps. I brought car back the next morning at request 10a so it spent need to move to garage for $13. I ask to use vacuum for front passages seat. They help with this. Thanks. But Staff says I need to check out or will call police.
* they checked me out 10 min later.
*update- today automatically checked me out. Then wondered why I’m still in bed at 2pm - bc I booked for 3 nights and yall gave me food poisoning!!

Location is very walkable. That’s the only reason for price to be as it is.
Everything else is ok. Not horrible not great. I’d like to see how this hotel does when they get some competition from other brand hotels.
The cleaning crew are fabulous. I don’t use them but they are always hi and smiles and provide water.
The bell man is fabulous. Keep him around as well

Hilton diamond member here&i've got to say this is the worst hilton hotel I've ever stayed.
1. Staff wasnt fluent in english&it took 15mins for the checkin process&did not know how to put the 3 rooms I booked into 1 invoice&i needed to pay a few times with my card
2. Wifi was not working although the afternoon manager helped with another code
3. But the worst would be the evening front office supervisor,Mr Burak.I explained to him how i enquired about a suite upgrade earlier in the afternoon&the week before my checkin. The afternoon manager had earlier promised to check the availability (even though i saw the suite was available before)&she was polite&explain things reasonably by stating the staff the night before was new which i accepted.
Mr Burak went on asking about my other rooms which have nothing to do with me asking whether the suite was available.
I politely informed him I tend to remb hilton hotels which gives better upgrades&service compared to the ones that doesnt (which i informed the manager in the afternoon as well &she could understand this)
Mr Burak managed to made it sound i was being unreasonable&throwing my diamond status around(which i wasnt)&said i was lucky to have the free complimentary breakfast&room upgrade to king surperior(which isnt an upgrade to me) which upsetted me a little.
He also went on to say there are lots of diamond&gold members&if there were 50 diamond members,he couldnt give everyone an upgrade.I was a little upset at this point&replied whether there are 50 diamond members staying tonight& he couldnt replied. Getting a suite upgrade is not so much a big thing for me but the way Mr Burak replied was both arrogant&managed to make it sound like i was creating problems at the hotel. (There were some other problems about the room types which they did not understand&too long to explain)
There are other hilton hotels in istanbul& i would definately not recommend this hotel due to the rudeness of the staff.

We had an excellent experience during our stay at this hotel. The rooms were spotless, and everything was well-maintained, making our stay very comfortable. Customer service was outstanding—special thanks to Burak, Enes, and Rabia, who went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The location was perfect, with easy access to everything we wanted to visit.
As a family, we stayed in connecting rooms, which was incredibly convenient and spacious for all of us.

Pleasant short two nights stay. I selected this hotel because of its location to many of the tourist sites I wanted to visit within 36 hours. The breakfast offered a variety of good selections. The gym is small. I would recommend a room not facing the front on the hotel because the restaurants across the street can be noisy. The front desk was helpful and accommodating to my various requests.

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton and, unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations.
Facilities:
The facilities are basic and straightforward, which is acceptable for the price if you only need a place to sleep and are in and out frequently.
Location:
The location is convenient if you need to stay in this area, but I would recommend exploring other areas that might better suit your travel needs.
Service:
The service was disappointing. The staff consistently displayed poor manners and unprofessional behavior. Even after discussing my concerns with guest relations, the service did not improve. As a Diamond member, I expected a guaranteed higher standard of service. Even as a non member it's still poor.
Airport Transfer:
The private airport transfer, which I purposely overpaid extra for, was late and the vehicle provided definitely not a VIP service transfer. This added to my overall dissatisfaction with my stay.
Overall Experience:
If you are a frequent traveler or expect high-quality service, I suggest looking elsewhere. This hotel did not provide the value or service I anticipated.

Located just a 10 minute walk from Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. Close to the metro, hotel has Istanbulkart cards you can borrow and load up to use on the metro. Staff are courteous and knowledgeable. Had an issue with the pressure in the shower and the hotel had a technician come and fix the pressure issue right away. House keeping staff were always arround and asking if we needed anything. We tried the roof top restaurant which was decently priced. Many restaurants just steps away.

I came to Istanbul to celebrate my birthday and chose this hotel because of the location. We liked the staff, breakfast and cleanliness.
Huge thanks to Anastasia! She made us feel very special by always asking if we need anything and wishing me a happy birthday with some delicious cake! Overall, I really enjoyed my stay.

Amazing stay in Istanbul thanks to the wonderful staff at the DoubleTree. I am so impressed with the VIP treatment that I received at this hotel. I’ve never been thanked and recognized for my Hilton Diamond status before but this hotel put a fruit platter and thank you note in my room. Regardless of your status, this hotel will ensure that you have a pleasant stay in Istanbul. The daily breakfast buffet has a wonderful selection of food (fresh cut fruit, pastries, local gourmet, and custom omelettes), and a great espresso machine. The hotel is quiet and peaceful yet right in the heart of the old city center. The concierge was very kind and gave me many good recommendations. I’m also really surprised by how reasonable this hotel is. I was able to get great sleep, my room was very quiet. Even if I stayed at a 5 star hotel, I doubt that I would receive the same amazing treatment that I received from the Doubletree.

I booked this hotel at the last minute and couldn’t have been happier. The staff were super friendly, in particular, Anastasia from Guest Services. The room was quite spacious, the only issue was that the walls are quite thin.
Breakfast was excellent with a good variety and there is also a great restaurant on the rooftop with stunning views of the city. The hotel is located within walking distance of most of the major tourist attractions.
I had previously stayed at another hotel nearby but Doubletree’s staff was so much more helpful and better value for money. Would definitely stay hear again.
