I stayed at this hotel for two nights about 6 years ago. It is a very nice, quiet and lovely hotel. I even tried more expensive hotels in Izmir, but this hotel is really worth the purchase. It is very close to the city's attractions.

Location was good. Central, near attractions. It's a walking distance from Basmane Train station, Metro station and Izban station. We booked a Triple Room. Room design was uninspiring. There was a small balcony but half of the space was occupied with the air-conditioner unit and it wasn't clean so we didn't use it. The shower area is SMALL even for us smaller sized asian ladies. The towels and bed linen were clean but looks abit worn out. No toiletries were provided btw. There's bidet spray for my fellow bidet users. Breakfast was good. We enjoyed the spread. Female receptionist is good in English and polite. Housekeeping staffs were polite. They were nearly done cleaning our room when we checked in but she did not make a fuss.

We went to Izmir for a medical treatment and were booking Tanik-Hotel because it is quite central, close to Kemeralti Bazaar and only 10 minutes walk to the pier.
Everything was clean, it was quiet, the breakfast buffet is great.
And last but not least it is quite fairly priced.
The staff from receptionists to cleaners was very kind and gentle.
So whoever wants to visit beautiful Izmir and doesn't need five star luxury suites should give it a try in the Tanik-Hotel.

- The cleaner stole my suit case, terrible situation. Not choose this hotel, because cleaners stole things of customers. Awful hotel, impression is terrible. Also wasn't forgive. The cleaner stole my suit case.31.01.2023
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable room with private bathroom. Good variety for breakfast. Central and within walking distance of the bazaar, Izmir tower, promenade and other points of interest. Highly recommended.

Amazing staff, we forgot our glasses and realized it was missing at the airport. The wonderful lady at the reception sent it to the airport via a taxi. Five star service.
Also the room was large, clean and breakfast was pretty good. It's also conviniently located between the metro stations of Basmane and cankaya.

we absolutely loved this place, after a rocky start to our holiday at a different hotel, we came here, was met with a welcoming smile from Gökçe, what a wonderful person! This hotel and team off staff completely put us at ease, and gave us a smooth holiday from there on, service was always great from everyone, always friendly and made us feel like it was home for our 3week stay, would highly recommend this hotel, we will definitely be back 💯♥️
