Reviews
Pizza, burgers, wraps, meats, salad, fruit and cakes. They have a variety of mock tails and cocktails. The amphi bar has things like:
Crepes, jacket potatoes, waffles, ice cream, burritos, fruit teas and again, a variety of drinks. Definitely recommend coming.
Pool and activities/events are for everyone to get involved with. The bars are well equipped and staff are friendly.
Everyday is a different themed dinner night and it brings a lot of culture to the palette.
Check in staff checked me to a vey isolated room below the accountants office, it was dark and musty with no views at all as it was on -2 floor.
It took a lot of deliberating to get what I wanted/paid for the following days.
We had a few bookings well in advance and asked for rooms together but they were not arranged, in fact on different floors and sides.
Not very much in the local area so you need to drive or get rides everywhere, but it’s easily done! the aircon doesn’t really work, just circulates warm air, we are here in May so doesn’t really matter but imagine that maybe hard in the height of summer. Evening entertainment is hit and miss, but it’s nice that they try :) (and even when it’s a bit rubbish it’s kinda entertaining in a funny sort or way)
The only downside was the fair amount of little kids being noisy. If you can tolarate that overall a great place to spend your holidays at.
When we arrived early hours to check in our rooms weren't ready but they will put us in another which we were fine with as we just wanted to sleep, we were told to come back to reception at 10 am in the morning...we did but were told our rooms were still not ready to come back again at 12:30...which we did and yet again they were not ready. My partner, son and myself came back twice before 3 pm. A male receptionist was rude and told me i need to get out of the rooms as they needed them and told me to shut up, I cried he was arrogant and damn right disrespectful, but i do have to admit after eventually getting our rooms someone sent up a complimentary gift set which was nice.
Secondly I had a bad fall in the restaurant which caused me to have damaged ligaments in my right knee/leg and multiple bruising on my knees/legs..the fall was due to water/liquid on the floor without a wet floor sign being put down or manned to stop people falling, a manager was alerted by my daughter who told he 'ok....go away' this was reported to guest relations who said she would look at the cctv but i never herd anything back.
My daughter paid upgraded room wasn't cleaned properly from the previous occupants or for the rest of our stay...she found dirty plasters and i found a balance active (bv/thrush) applicator.
The last bad thing isnt the hotels fault/doing but i have never stayed in a place with so much fighting and arguing between guests.....what is going on?!!
The good, apart from the staff members i mentioned, all are lovely can't fault them at all, its good place for children younger and older as there is plenty for them to do. The guys in the clothes shop are hilarious and the guy who does the shows at night hats off to you.
I loved the kids steps at the bars i thought this was lovely touch.
There is food for everyone no on will go hungry-unless you are really fussy!
As mentioned in my review title this is not a 5* hotel I've stayed in 3* that are just as good, we met some lovely people here but would i go back...probably not...would i recommend...yes but don't expect the 5*
The hotel has direct access to the beach - although stony beach not sandy. The rooms are clean and are cleaned daily. Very nice weather and great views.
The hotel itself is great they have 5 swimming pools and one outdoor is heated. The only big minus is food after 3 days you have the feeling you eating constantly the same thing, but more varieties would fix the problem.
