Symbola Beach Hotel

some things amazing, some not so.
The sympathetic building blends in with the mountains and is hidden away and secluded from the tourist strip it overlooks. The room is simple, but perfectly adequate and the bathroom had been renovated to a good standard. The double mattress wasn't great and the housekeeping hit and miss, some days they did a thorough clean, replaced water, etc. While on other days we were forgotten and even after requesting toilet paper four times in as many hours, didn't receive any until much later. Our room was near the front of the restaurant which is also the back of the service area, to see staff sitting on boxes smoking right next to our front door isn't nice at all. Especially after we all had a slightly upset stomach after our first meal. We continued to eat breakfast and didn't get ill again but we had to be careful what we ate for the rest of the week which was a shame. The Turkish buffet was plentiful with some hot items, lots of breads and cheeses and jams, but had no fresh fruits at all, the closest being lovely fresh tomato, cucumber and olives. The restaurant with glass balcony overlooking the beach and town is really nice and the staff friendly.
The pool, although quite small, was 28° degrees and gorgeous and with plenty of sunbeds and no time restrictions on use. This was off season in early April. The noise from other residents until 11pm was bearable, in no way was there a loud party atmosphere, although there are disco lights and speakers in the restaurant/bar. It was a friendly environment, with other guests from Turkey and elsewhere, which is a nice feeling.
The management could shake a few things up and really make it a place to return to. As it was, we had a really good deal and were happy, the price we paid off season was good. I wouldn't have been so happy paying much more, for the few issues we had which were left unresolved..

We had a lovely holiday in Symbola end of June. We stayed a week and from the minute we arrived the staff were amazing. First to meet us was Taylan and Harun, check in at 1am in the morning was quick and we were helped with our cases up to our room by Taylan he was very pleasant and showed us where everything was before he left.
Next morning we had breakfast on the beautiful terrace / bar area area with the most amazing views and was looked after by Murat and his team.

We felt so relaxed and was warmly welcomed by everybody including the day team at reception whilst we were there, Berra & Dennis 2 lovely young people who can't do enough for you.

In the evenings we had a cocktail or 2 at the terrace bar overlooking the whole of Olu deniz and had some great conversations with the lovely Murat who looked after us well.
All the staff at this hotel are warm and friendly and made us feel at home. They work so hard and it shows around the grounds.

Only downfall for us was the hill going up to the hotel plus the stairs when we got up the hill in 35 celcius degree heat was a killer. If you don't mind a good hike to the hotel you won't be disappointed. If you have walking difficulties this probably isn't the hotel for you.
The views are outstanding thats what you get for your hard work getting up there.

Little tip to owners is to trim the flowers on the balcony just enough to not obscure the amazing views and paint the rooms white to brighten then up a bit.

Lovely family room hotel with friendly helpful staff. Traditional rooms and pool area with sunbeds and umbrellas. Breakfast choices of Turkish and continental. Ten minutes walk to the beach so a great location.
Only negative the steps could be a problem for anyone older or no physically fit as no lift. Would definitely return 😌

Great location, just outside the Ölüdeniz’ hubbub. A cute set of stone cabins with balconies glued to the mountain. My room had a view over town and the sea. It’s quiet; I slept like a baby and the bathroom was modern and clean. Breakfast is Turkish, fresh and delicious. I’d recommend!

Meals and there are lots of options, everything is great. The hotel is very special with kind, hardworking staff - and there are cats and kittens around that are beautiful and well cared for by everyone. There was a live music night on Friday and it was a great experience! Everyone loved it. Thank you for a lovely stay we were so happy here , the location was perfect for everything in the local area

A walk away from the beach and lagoon was a bit further but we like a walk!
Rooms are basic but quaint with nicely fitted bathroom

Such a a beautiful hotel and the best staff!! The rooms were such amazing and even the water bottles were being replaced every day. Only 3 mins walk from the beach and the market, and you can hear music every day haha. The hotel itself was very quiet like we were the only ones there. Vibes were amazing

Jacuzzi was super great.
We lied in the water during the night and looked up at all the stars in the night sky. And in the morning we did it again, the view and the vibe are very different.
The only disadvantage is that we had to climb a lot stairs everyday back to our room 😂

Really great hotel. The rooms are lovely and comfortable. Toiletries and water and restocked every day. WiFi connection was strong. Breakfast buffet was great. Huge range of food, eggs made to order. Highly recommend, a really nice stay.
