The hotel is really beautiful. I love that it's a historic build and is close to everything in Downtown Charleston. Housekeeping is wonderful. Usually you have to put the towels on the ground for them to change them out at Hilton properties but this one I didn't even have to do that. It was a pleasant surprise when I got back to the room. The lobby of this hotel is warm and welcoming, but trendy. The bar and restaurant are wonderful. My favorite drinks here are Amazing Grace and the King's Cup (with some vanilla added at the bartender's suggestion). Our bartender, Tiffany, was really helpful and made excellent drink suggestions.

The beds were so comfortable and they come with a fridge which is nice for storing beverages. Each floor has a water and ice refill station. The pool chairs are comfy.
The only thing I would say is that the pool food menu could use a little work. I would stay here again. Gorgeous lobby and great location.

Right in the heart of downtown, Mills house sticks out beautifully. The color of the hotel is to be adored, along with the details of art and history on the inside. The rooftop bar is large and has great views. Staff was amazing and friendly, valet was awesome and more than likely needed in the area. Will stay again!

As soon as I checked in, I was immediately greeted by their friendly and hospitable staff in addition to a beautiful champagne service.
My balcony guest room had a beautiful view overlooking Queen Street overlooking the restaurants, and hustle-bustle as the horse-drawn carriages passed. The room was comfortable, clean, and the perfect size. The historic hotel property is absolutely breathtaking. From the check in, hotel restaurants, cafe, pool, gym, to checkout, all service points were superb.

The room is very clean. There is a cafe on the first floor of the hotel. The coffee is delicious. There is a very delicious restaurant called Husk next to the hotel.

A very large & spacious hotel (8 stories) in the heart of downtown Charleston, very near to tons of shopping & restaurants. I had read some reviews about the staff concentrating on the large wedding/catering/business meeting events, but that was not the case on our weekend. Everyone was very attentive, greeted you with a " how is everything going, is there anything I can do for you" attitude. Our room was very comfortable & clean. Ground floor bar was well stocked & always had enough personnel behind the bar to accommodate large crowds. Saturday Brunch was fabulous. Front desk; Valet; bar & bell hop personnel were great! Plan on coming several times a year for celebrations.

Awful! Worst 4 star hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was unfriendly. The management was the worst. The rooms were like a motel 6 and on top of that it’s *******! No microwave, no room service, no refrigerator! I honestly have nothing nice to say about the management.

The Mills house was so charming. It felt grand at every turn. Having access to the 2nd floor balcony outside of our room was a pleasant surprise. Beds and linens were super comfortable. Will definitely come back again.

Old and very noisy (loud AC humming sound next door) bedroom, motel like bathroom, rude personnel; all for the price of a 5 star hotel. Only place with rooms available on short notice (no wonder why). Avoid if possible. Lobby is nice, location nice, bed nice which is important but not sufficient. No Value for money.
