I had a great experience at Hotel Ocean in South Beach. From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff was super friendly and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful, clean, and perfectly located right across from the beach. It has a chill vibe, but it’s also close to all the action on Ocean Drive. I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Great location and sweet staff. Lara the receptionist was so helpful to us, she gave us amazing local recommendations, helped transition our rooms with new bookings as we extended our stay and also helped us find our lost drivers license.

I must say my experience at Ocean Hotel 1230, Ocean drive. Was so much more than my expectations were, First of all the staff was amazing especially the front desk LAURA, The room was what so much more than I expect they were high-end beautiful and I had a great time and it was right across the street from the beach which for the price was amazing. Five stars 👍

Our stay was amazing at Hotel Ocean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious! We loved the patio you could sit outside the hotel and have a coffee. They played great music at the restaurant of the hotel at night! We definitely recommend this place and will return to stay here!

We had a wonderful two days here. As we had an early flight, we were in urgent need of some rest. Ms. Alexandra at the front desk was very considerate and allowed us to check in early. She also kindly helped us print some documents. The hotel’s location is excellent, just a two-minute walk from the beach. The hotel even provides free towels and beach chairs, saving you the cost of rentals. It was an amazing experience. Thank you again, Ms. Alexandra, for your thoughtful and professional service!

The location is a little tricky to find but it is a lovely little boutique hotel right off of south beach. Our room had an ocean facing balcony unfortunately it was locked from the outside and we were not able to use it which was very disappointing. Also the window with ocean views had blinds that will not raise entirely, thus blocking the ocean view. They seem to be almost intentionally blocking the ocean views, which were quite nice... but less so if you have to stand with your head inside the blinds to enjoy them.

This place is adorable! The staff was very friendly! It's right across the street from the beach and in the middle of so many great restaurants and things to do at night. We plan to come back there the next time we visit Miami!

Very nice hotel! We had a great stay. Great Miami experience. Great location. Very clean room. The bathroom doesn't have a door. Little weird but it was no big deal. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. 5 stars!

My experience at Hotel Ocean was a major letdown. From the moment of check-in, the staff seemed inconvenienced by carrying out basic functions of their job (i.e. checking in, requesting to hold my bags before the room was ready, getting a beach towel). No pleasantries.
The cost of my two-night stay multiplied quickly, because $200 in extra charges in taxes and fees was tacked onto my bill. The hotel said they could not give me an itemized receipt and was unable to explain the additional costs other than saying there were resort and service fees (however those numbers weren't adding up).
The "free breakfast" included in the stay is not actually for the hotel's restaurant, but rather an over-the-counter sandwich shop a block away - AND you only get one complimentary breakfast, even if your party has two guests.
Speaking of resort fees, they offer beach chairs, but expect them to be out. Their beach towels (and all other linens) smell like mildew, and the bikes can only be used for two hours, and will likely also be out. For $350 per night, I'd expect better attention to detail. It was grimy. Hairs were on the towels in the hotel room, stains on the beach towels, a previous guest's half-used shampoo was left in the shower, and there was a big hole in the sheets.
It is ALWAYS a party right outside the hotel, with live music going until late hours of the night, so if you need quiet to sleep, save yourself the headache and just head to north beach.
