Great service from doormen, check in and housekeeping. Everyone was kind, thoughtful and friendly. A special shout out to Neal who works at the Royalton and recommended this space for a work trip. Easily accessible to Penn Station, NJT and Port Authority. Extremely walkable to all key tourist spots in Midtown. Definitely recommend!

The Royalton has only two things positive..the staff was helpful and location.
This is a very dated hotel with absolutely no amenities. No coffee or water in rooms. No restaurant or breakfast bar.
Everything is DATED and dark. The smell is awful. The rooms are just as bad. The sheets on the bed should be thrown out. They have fuzzy ball on them. We booked a room and paid extra for a fireplace…that hasn’t worked since Covid.
The view from our windows..LOL.. could not see out they were filthy.
We were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary (which they knew about) and not one word was said.
Please do not stay here, you will surely regret it.

Book it! The bad reviews are ridiculous. Location perfect to everything. Room was large ( queen room, standard) so cute. Shower was great. Quiet never heard any sounds! Staff was beyond. They even held our luggage all day upon check out for nothing! Cutest hotel. Yes no bar or restaurant but everything is super close so not a problem

Incredible service, gave us free water bottles whenever asked, upgraded our room just cause we asked, and gave us an extra blanket cause it was cold. Our room was great, big and had a couch, bathroom was beautiful with all surfaces being glass (water pressure is a bit intense tho), and it was very clean. Huge downstairs lobby with couches, computers, and tables. Great location, very close to Times Square and the midtown flixbus. Overall just the perfect hotel for our trip, will come again.

Where do I even begin? This place looked incredible online, but upon arrival, I was disappointed. The receptionist was friendly and helped us get a better room, but it was still dusty, dirty, and had dirty linens, the bathroom was dirty, the room smelled like mold. There were no cups, coffee maker, or anything else useful in the room. It was also very dark and outdated. The lobby bar and restaurant have been closed since the pandemic, and the advertisements on the website are misleading. If I had known the rooms looked like that, I would have never booked. This was my son’s first trip to NYC, and they never brought the blow- up mattress. I had to call down for towels and other amenities. The location was great, but in all reality, this hotel needs a major makeover, better marketing with up-to-date advertisements, and the bar and restaurant need to reopen. This was by far my worst stay at an hotel in NYC.

Standard Queen Room. Great location, very close to Grand Central and Bryant Park, a short walk away from Times Square. Smaller, retro room, but very clean. The bathtub/shower was pretty cool. Limited channels on TV, but you can connect your own device and we even connected our Switch for some late night gaming. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Would book again.

It's very basic. Location is the biggest advantage. In Manhattan, very close to Times Square. Facilities are just rooms. No restaurant etc. There is a small gym. Better than nothing. The wash basin is stainless steel.

The location of the hotel is very good. It is only 200 meters away from Times Square. It is very convenient. The facilities and facilities in the rooms are above four-star standard. The American-style bar lobby is amazing. I will definitely choose this hotel again when I come to New York.
