Crowne Plaza Hotel Orlando Downtown, an IHG Hotel

This is a good location if you need to be in the downtown area within 20 minutes of amusement parks. Hotel is right off the highway. Not the safest or maybe the cleanest neighborhood but it’s a gated parking lot at the facility has a nice restaurant/bar.

I was doing some work in Fort Lauderdale earlier and wasn’t positive when I would be done so flying into Orlando was out of the question. I arrived from my 3 hour drive and the valet ( CJ ) gave me a very friendly greeting even though I self parked. The front desk staff were friendly as well. I checked in on the app and didn’t pick my room. I arrived 3 hours after I intended and just wanted to grab something to eat and rest. I walked into my room and was shocked. My company has allowances and it’s easy to find a decent hotel within our limits but my first thought was I booked the wrong room. This room is nice! I thought I made a mistake but I regularly stay at IHG hotels so I was given an upgrade. Called room service and had dinner in about 20 minutes. And again, friendly service. The folks here are doing a great job!!

We really enjoyed our stay here. Just about everything was nice. I really don't like why I need to pay for parking at the Crowne locations. This is pretty much a rip-off for parking lot that is part of the hotel. This alone will be a deciding factor in the future for staying g with them. The price of the room alone should give you free parking. 21 dollars a night for self parking is ridiculous! On top of that, that card reader at entrance doesn't work. So you would have to wait for someone to open the gate if they were at their post. Breakfast was another thing. No free breakfast or at least a continental breakfast. I believe the cost to stay here does not match the amenities. I will have to use this place as only a last resort if I couldn't find anything else.

We were in town for March Madness and were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms. The beds were comfortable, shower was hot, and had great water pressure. Wish the 3 jets would have worked in the shower, but overall, we had nothing to complain about. The food in the bistro was great, especially for a snack while drinking. The bar had good drinks, a bit pricey but good. The breakfast in the morning again was good but pricey. The only recommendations I would have for travelers and / or the hotel is: having a kitchen in a room is wonderful but if u have no utensils (forks, spoons, knives) or anything else it sorta defeats some of the point. We had a dishwasher but nothing to wash. So if you're looking at this place because of this benefit, bring your own plates, cups, and utensils. We self parked but were charged for valet parking, so look at your receipt. Other than that, we would highly recommend and definitely would stay here again.

+ The room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The walls were paper thin though. Everyone was friendly. The valet were especially kind and helpful. The front desk were attentive and efficient at moving the long lines through with a smile. Everyone we spoke with was helpful.
- The only complaint I have is that unless I read the reviews, I wouldn't have been made aware of the daily parking fee being almost as expensive as the valet service. But I only paid $23 for valet for the one night stay.

Loved this hotel, I stayed two weekends in a row. The customer service it’s amazing, specially the servers/staff at the breakfast buffet and the breakfast itself was delicious. Super comfortable beds and clean rooms. Definitely staying here again when visiting Orlando, FL. I didn’t give them a 5 star because there was a lot of noise one night and we were supposed to be in the “quiet floor”. It was Easter weekend so I’m pretty sure they were really busy and couldn’t accommodate these loud big drunk family on another floor. Recommend 100%!!!

The area surrounding the hotel is NOT pretty AT ALL! It's quite noisy and there is a LOT of roadwork going on with traffic jams almost all day long. That being said, the lobby is considerably well appointed and the staff -from the valet parking to the front desk- is very amiable and helpful. A word to the wise: parking fare is pretty steep - $18 a day for self park and $20 a day for valet parking. Your average hotel reservation will not include breakfast, although there's a small fridge and microwave in almost every room. I would suggest a stay here for business, rather than for pleasure.
