If you like a view I recommend the king corner, if your lucky you get the room facing downtown. We came for a night alone for our anniversary. We had a great stay-cation.
We came to dinner at Ruth Chris and the restaurant mixed out parking tickets up with another party, Mateo and Justin explained everything and assisted while waiting for the correct car. They have the best customer
Service and definitely deescalated the situation where we were not stressed at all. Definitely a great experience
Amazing staff. Beautiful property, especially at night. It's just a little too family-friendly. If you want to take a relaxing vacation/stay-cation or a date night, this is not it. Which is a damn shame because there aren't many modern hotels in downtown San Antonio that are this nice. I wish they'd consider setting adult only hours at the pool and the outdoor rooftop patio. We were here for a nice...
I’ve been enjoying my stay at this hotel. I’m in town for my first work conference and valeted my truck because I had all of our team’s booth materials in it. Dani with the valet team at the hotel has been my savior. She has helped me and been SO helpful from the moment I pulled onto the valet drive. Every time I have to grab something from my truck for our booth, Dani is right there already unlocking...
I absolutely enjoyed my stay. The staff was exceptionally fantastic. I was having an episode at the same time I was trying to get into my room. Unfortunately the key did not work. I called the hotel and a lovely lady was at my room with a key within 2 minutes and then was so kind as to get me a bucket of ice. (A week later had to have an emergency surgery). Her fast action and kindness are greatly...

Golf was great
Nice running path in area

Staff was great! The pool/water park area is awesome! We had a great Summer finale before school started.
Great relaxing retreat. Water park was lovely with lazy river. Great variety of on property restaurants. Nice walkable trails. The indoor and outdoor fireplaces were perfect for warming up in March when the morning/evening air can be brisk. Note to Marriott rewards members - there is no concierge lounge at this property.
I love love love this hotel!! It's views are truly amazing. They have so much to do here it's incredible. Come with family or friends and you will have a blast. It is pretty expensive, but it's kind of expected at such a high class resort like this. I'm definitely going to come back here soon!
I can't say enough good things about this place. From the second you drive up the hill and get a glimpse of this magnificent building, you know you are in a special place. There is absolutely nothing that went wrong during the stay. You are greeted at the door by someone can answer questions for you. The person that checked us in joked around with my kids and they really liked that. The pool facilities...
Had a wonderful stay. Accommodations were great, amenities were amazing. Pricing in spa and restaurants was a bit high as expected, but great quality. Room service food quality was so so, definitely bring snacks for night time. Huge place, and some hills bring flats and sandals. Water park is great, great staff and clean lovely rooms. Will return, happy customer.

Rooms were great. Location perfect for Alamodome and Riverwalk.
What a nice and clean hotel. Everyone was very friendly. Bar and restaurant were great. Very convenient location. Within walking distance from the Alamo and riverwalk. Parking garage was a tight fit but Can’t wait to go back.
The hotel itself is very clean, modern and very comfortable. The front desk staff is AMAZING! The location is great, the mall and the Riverwalk are basically part of it. I'll definitely be back!!! People have said that the elevators are confusing, but we found it very easy and it was honestly nice not having all the buttons and old fashioned type elevators.

Overall a very nice hotel and I would come back. Great bar, rooms are comfy, great location. My only complaint is the bar is always busy and there is no room service, the market also closes relatively early so if you get in late and want something to eat you are kind-of SOL. I would have expected them to have room service for such a large hotel.
Excellent hotel! The staff is very nice and welcoming. Holly checked us in and she was very helpful! I didn't catch the name of the lady who checked us in, but she was very nice too. Our room was great and everything was very clean. We also had a great view of the river walk. I would stay here again if I ever return to the area.

Awesome Vacation used our car only once to go to a military base. Everything we needed was within walking distance. Had a great time. Tony Trevino is very friendly and helpful. Thank you. Also the valet is great at getting these cars in and out. We enjoyed your stay. ❤
Wow! Can't wait to go back again! Booked this resort for a fantastic price at ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ I love this resort and am so grateful to have stayed at my favorite hotel for so much less than I would normally spend. Great hotel! Everything about this hotel was perfect from start to finish. The staff are friendly, the hotel is beautiful and in a great location, the rooms are very clean, quiet, well...
Loved the river at the bottom of the hotel. Hotel has a decent selection of shops to choose from for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The breakfast shop is similar to a fusion of Starbucks. The lunch/dinner restaurant at the river walk level has a lot of seafood options. Rooms are very nice; huge TV; spacious bathroom. The beds are slightly firm for myself, but that's the only downside I could find.
Love this beautiful hotel! We were fortunate enough to experience the concierge level where the staff was very cordial and attentive. Ms. Pinky, who was in charge upstairs really knows how to make you feel welcomed. The rooftop pool is nice but can get a bit crowded. I suggest they add shading by furnishing the out door area around the pool with strategically placed umbrellas as the Texas sun can be...
This is such a nice hotel which offers so many amenities. Its right off the river walk and beautiful. However, they give you extreme low pressure shower heads making it really hard to take a shower. The sink would make a loud banging noise and then drop in pressure each time you turned it on and the room was not clean. To look at its amazing, but if you want room comfort with the issues not sure its...
I stayed 5 days solo. It was wonderful and they took good care of me. Everyone was pleasant. They have very good vegetarian food too.I didn't rent a car and was able to walk everywhere. Perfect location at the Riverwalk. They have a light under your bed when you get up. I loved that.

The staff was incredible. They greet you with a smile every time you arrive and want to make sure your stay is perfect. You have a great view no matter where you are, including the drive up to the resort. The golf course is beautiful too!
Very nice place, loved the ambiance and the views. Service from the staff was good to very good, with a glitch or two along the way, but it's hard to be perfect. The resort accommodated a very large wedding at the last minute due to an emergency at the previously booked venue. The pool area was wonderful for the kids and there were numerous areas for our large group to hang out and be together. My...
La Cantera Resort is one of the most enjoyable places you will ever visit. The staff went out of their way to take care of us, and there are so many fun things to do there! We stayed in the Villas, which is a more secluded area of the resort and took advantage of heated pools, the n. gas fire pit, and hot tubs! This is the second time staying here. This place is a clinic for how hospitality should operate. Janie Mann went above and beyond for my wife's and my birthday. It was a great weekend stay and we felt we were on a land cruise ship. Loved every minute of our stay. Thank you Janie and staff for an awesome experience. We'll be back!
Our stay at this hotel was fantastic, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of.
The only small suggestions I have are for the hotel’s dining options. For the price, the restaurant menus could use an update – the food was just okay, and the options were limited. The tables also felt a bit outdated and could benefit from a refresh.
Additionally, given...
We went in September, and it was lovely! Very quiet! It was such a fun place to stay with kids because of the lazy river, slides, beach, pools, s’mores! It is beautiful!

I highly recommend this resort. Such a fun and secured place. Felt like a second home. We did have some slight issues at first but Heaven at the front desk helped us out in such a professional manner, she was very sweet. Also the food and atmosphere is phenomenal
Came for a business meeting. Staff was friendly and welcoming. The edge of the carpet in my room was lifted & I tripped on it several times. I put in a request to have it taped down and it was taken care of immediately. The pools were super fun! Food was good. Lots of usb and other connections in the room. Very quiet.

The location is very good, but there is a road under construction in front of the hotel, which is very noisy. Fortunately, I can change the room. They helped me change to a room near the river, which is much better. I can walk along the river at night.
Right off the river walk. Expect to hear noise at night from surrounding venues. Beautiful hotel.
Service was phenomenal, staff was professional and friendly.
Stayed three days and two nights over the weekend here, overall it’s a nice hotel! Very clean and friendly staff. The best part about the hotel is the location it is right on the heart of the river walk with amazing views and easy access! Two things that made me give it three stars are : the valet parking was a struggle very long 30 mins plus ! And the elevators were kind of a nightmare very very long...
Great location on the river walk. Very clean and pretty hotel. Great service from everyone. Only two complaints. The shower head is weak and either sprays everywhere or shoots bullets straight at you. The roof top pool is no good for hanging out and bad for kids. It's an old hotel, renovated, but I think that was probably 15 years ago. The staff was great; very helpful. The breakfast buffet offers a great selection, including an omelet station. It is next to the river walk, but there isn't any "River activity" here. It's just following water. The restaurants, bars, stores are a few blocks away.
Location is OK. Staff is friendly but isn't knowledgeable about tips on the town.
Attended out office holiday party here. Venue was nice and food was pretty good. No issues except that the drinks were over priced. Nice towels and bedding. Comfortable mattress. Friendly helpful staff. Great location near the River Walk and downtown. Two things reduce my rating; 1) they turned off the AC for repairs 6am-6pm on a hot summer day, and 2) the hotel ran out of regular coffee. I'm not joking...
The lobby and club rooms are very nice. Club room had good wines and hot breakfast. The location is also great, just 3 minutes walk from the Riverwalk.
The rooms are large but in need of an uplift. Furniture and paint look very old. One of the rooms I stayed in had a mild smell. I did not notice it after a while, but definitely did when I walk in.
Rich in history, the hotel itself it's very nice. My room on the fourth floor is furnished nicely. While the hotel is nice and the room has obviously been updated it could use some touch up. There are corners in the bathroom that have the metal reinforcement exposed and the wallpaper was poorly cut. But the real problem is the sound in the room. Very luxurious! The staff was super accommodating due to the fact that we had booked a room with a tub but walked into a room with a shower. We had a room overlooking the plaza and pool. It was great, no real complaints. They have a few peacocks outside that call and make you feel like you're in a jungle. The rooms are clean and nice, and you can walk to the alamo, a mall, and a bunch of random stuff you find as you walk. The only complaint I've heard is that it's a bit loud if you have a room facing the road.
This hotel is awesome if you want a reasonable price and a hotel literally minutes from the River WalkWe were smack in the middle of San Antonio’s art district and loved have the market place so close to us! The hotel itself is historic and so beautiful! They even have a little piece of history with the Victoria house right in the middle of this gorgeous hotel.
The service here was just okay. The decor in the lobby and common areas it's fantastic. The rooms however are not entirely modernized, but nothing to be disappointed over. This is a really great hidden gem in a sea of hotels on the riverwalk. The rooftop pool is amazing! Our kids enjoyed swimming and we enjoyed a full bar and resort style loungers complete with cool towels and umbrellas. Asia at the pool was so nice and she made some tasty craft cocktails! Edward, valet, was very welcoming and made our arrival and exit a breeze! We ate breakfast in the river level restaurant...
It was located downtown, where it felt truly alive. There is a lot of buzz. Great atmosphere and the staff very nice, friendly and super helpful. Love visiting San Antonio because it's full of history and, of course. Mokara Hotel does not disappoint. With its own great history, location, and beauty, it made my stay all the worthwhile.
Couldn't have dreamed of a finer hotel...the spa is phenomenal, the food/restaurant is superb. All in all a wonderful Riverwalk experience. Will I definitely be back?

Gorgeous location, stunning building, and the BEST service. My wife and I spent our wedding night there and the room had an issue or two but only things that are totally explainable with the buildings age. Overall: our stay was beautiful, charming, and felt like a step back in time to a more sophisticated, artistic time
This amazing gem is tucked away in downtown San Antonio. The front entrance just exudes decadence. The dining experience was by far a foodies dream, the cocktails in the Havana bar were amazing. The old fashioned was by far the best I’ve had around town. To cap off the evening was the Burlesque show by The Dollhaus, they simply brought that proper burlesque show experience and showgirl class. I most...
We are beyond impressed with the overall experience. The location is great. The hotel is an oasis of little patios tucked around every corner. The age and beauty of the entire building was not lost on us. I will add, the service and professionalism mixed with chill vibe of the staff is what sold me. Justin at the front desk is a gem!! Jackie also sealed the whole deal with her top notch customer service...
What an absolutely amazing experience! I dined in at Ocho and from the second I was greeted to my farewell after dinner was so special! The entire restaurant staff was personable, knowledgeable, and hospitable. Following dinner, I visited Havana Bar downstairs for a Tequila event. Drinks were spectacular, the staff was attentive, and the show was so entertaining! The event curator, Peach Gallagher...
First time visiting San Antonio and such a nice and quiet spot but still surrounded by so much in the area! Our room was so nice and cozy. The AC in the hotel was such a life saver from the Texas heat. The basement bar was such a big surprise and wished I spent more time. Looked like a spooky vampire lounging area. Big shout out to Rudy for taking care of us during our whole stay! Anything I needed...
