I will be honest, I have never stayed the night in the hotel, but absolutely love the bar (Sternwirth) and mini grocery store (Larder). They are great places to take out of town guests and always on the date night option list. The decor and architecture are wonderful.

We walked around the outside of Hotel Emma and snapped pics of so much beauty and activity that adds to its unique location on the River Walk and adjacent to Pearl Brewery complex. Get hotel has a very professional feel to it. The interior and exterior of the building are modern and beautiful. In the lobby, there is a little cafe/breakfast area to buy lunch along with a bar equipped with alcohol. The staff was friendly and helpful with any questions we had.

Overall a very nice hotel and I would come back. Great bar, rooms are comfy, great location. My only complaint is the bar is always busy and there is no room service, the market also closes relatively early so if you get in late and want something to eat you are kind-of SOL. I would have expected them to have room service for such a large hotel.

Loved the river at the bottom of the hotel. Hotel has a decent selection of shops to choose from for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The breakfast shop is similar to a fusion of Starbucks. It's an old hotel, renovated, but I think that was probably 15 years ago. The staff was great; very helpful. The breakfast buffet offers a great selection, including an omelet station. It is next to the river walk, but there isn't any "River activity" here. It's just following water. The restaurants, bars, stores are a few blocks away.

The valet staff were very friendly and helpful. Our cards didn't work in the self parking but it was always open. The elevators were fast when they weren't stopping all the time. The beds were hard and squeaky. The pillows were comfortable. The toilet was low to the ground and the inside looked cracked. The lobby and club rooms are very nice. Club room had good wines and hot breakfast.The location is also great, just 3 minutes walk from the Riverwalk. The rooms are large but in need of an uplift. Furniture and paint look very old. One of the rooms I stayed in had a mild smell. I did not notice it after a while, but definitely did when I walk in.

We had a room overlooking the plaza and pool. It was great, no real complaints. They have a few peacocks outside that call and make you feel like you're in a jungle. The rooms are clean and nice, and you can walk to the alamo, a mall, and a bunch of random stuff you find as you walk. From the valet parking to the drinks at the bar (the bartenders and drinks were amazing) to the check in at the front desk, everything was great! Our stay at the Emily Morgan was less than perfect, and for what it cost it should have been better. The hotel was down to one working elevator, causing wait times to be up to 30 minutes. Excellent hotel right on the riverwalk, in the center of all the action. I had a corner suite which is spacious and has two balconies. The bathroom in this room is amazing. Separate shower, large deep bathtub, doored commode. Parking is across the street and ~$20 per day. Very nice hotel.

Very very good food! A friend and I split a salad and pasta dish. We had the idea, then the server suggested we go halvsies without us asking. On point suggestion. We added scallops to the Cesar salad. They were perfectly cooked and added a lot to the evening. Just the right combination of spices and flavor made all the difference. This was my third stay at The Westin and my first time taking my sweet dog's. While all the front door and front desk personnel welcomed my furry friends, the Westins Riverwalk restaurant was not pet friendly.
