Capital Hilton

Our experience at the Capital Hilton could not have been better. We had booked for one night not knowing that we would end up in a health crisis that required a longer stay and an additional room.

The CH employees are truly stellar and not only cheerfully went to bat for us at a moment's notice, but went out of their way to help us navigate our situation throughout our stay.

Frank at the front desk is exceptional: calm, kind and compassionate, as well as wonderfully competent. The bell, door man, housekeeping, and service teams are all top-notch: helpful, friendly, caring, and truly "at your service." We enjoyed the beautiful breakfast buffet daily and were wowed by the service. Nancy is an absolute gem.

The rooms we stayed in were lovely and perfectly proportioned. Sparklingly clean, nicely furnished and had super comfy beds.

I have never felt so cared for by a hotel's staff. A truly memorable stay. Thank you!!

The best hotel I have ever stayed at hands down. I constantly come to Washington for meetings, vacations, etc. This was my first time staying at the Capital Hilton and it was hands down, the best hotel I have ever stayed at. I will be returning for the remainder of my visits. The rooms are great, the servers are great. The best part was the lounge. The whole staff was so inviting and engaging with me. I really felt at home. Haileselassie, and the rest of the staff do a great job at making the Capitol Hilton stand out. Great place to stay, even better place to get something to eat.

Capital Hilton was nice and in a very good location; within walking distance of monuments, the White House, and museums. The hotel felt safe and secure. Service was very friendly and we were able to check in earlier than expected!

The lobby of the hotel was very nice! The room was decent, but could have used some updating and a fresh coat of paint. The bed and pillows were comfortable.

I’ve stayed at probably 4 hotels in DC the past 6 months and Capital Hilton was by far the best. I just stayed at the for 7 nights and the service was exceptional from the second I drove up. The valet was friendly and the staff working the door immediately offered a cart since I had a bunch of hanging clothes. Check in was a breeze. My room was clean. Housekeeping was amazing and friendly. I had meetings throughout the day and came back to work in my room in between and hung the Do Not Disturb when I did that. Somehow they always managed to make up my room when I was gone even though it was at varying hours. I wasn’t expecting them to do it at all since I was in and out so much. I did have to call in a Maintenance issue but it was non emergency (shower handle spun without water turning on) and was fixed in a few hours. Two things pricey there are Breakfast and Parking. Bed was a bit hard for me and pillows too soft but I imagine they were great for most people or they wouldn’t use them. Location was fantastic - close to the White House and a short walk or cab ride to the convention center. When I needed my car, it was always available within 10 minutes. Overall it was a great stay and I’d definitely stay there again.

Great location. Insanely expensive Parking.

- Very poor soundproofing. You can hear everything in the hallway. Absolutely inadequate prices for water at the store downstairs (4.5 dollars per Aquafina! you fell?)

+ location. Walk to the White House in 10 minutes.

Parking usd 59 per night.

Nice hotel but seems a bit dated. Executive lounge is decent for water, coffee, tea and snacks. Rooms are good size and has a coffee maker. But no fridge. Spa service is in the same building but they are not connected where I could charge the massage to the room.

Two areas of improvement: beds do not seem as comfortable as other Hilton ?. Also, we had a king size bed but got these old standard pillows. I wish they offered King size pillows like I have found in the Marriott ?.
