The room is clean, but the service is not good. It is a three-minute walk from the Congress

The hotel itself is impeccable and very ideal. Unfortunately, this area is too business-oriented, there are no supermarkets and few restaurants, which makes life a bit inconvenient.

Very convenient location

In the center of DC, because it is next to Capitol Hill, the housing prices are extremely high, the facilities are relatively old, there is no parking lot, and you need to pay a $60 overnight parking fee if you drive there. If you check out after 12 o'clock, you will be charged an additional $50 overtime fee. Everything is ridiculously expensive, and the service is surprisingly poor!

Location is great and rooms are very nice. Customer service here is simply abysmal. No one speaks any English, and can't comprehend it well either. One lady just hung up when we asked if she could transfer us because we couldn't understand her. For context, I've grown up where nearly all of my father's clients were from another country. I'm in a math/science field so many of my professors have been foreign as well. I've never had this level of difficulty understanding someone. After we called back, we got a different person with the same level of accent, received no help, finally we just got frustrated enough to hang up because we were getting nowhere. One would think a Hyatt would hire better people for these kinds of roles than this, but unfortunately that's not the case.

I’ve stayed before but never left a review, but that’s not what this is about. What excellent service provided by the valet parkers and its management. Yep you read that correctly this review is for how great the valets are. As a business professional tasked with needing to drive my boss around DC finding parking to pick up is never easy. Never in my life has a valet come to the car. I was parked in to mention there is a parking spot in front of their hotel that I can park in to pick up my boss. Hands-down acting like a human like this makes me wanna cry. To the Hyatt management that reads this please know your staff appreciated and the guests coming there got to know who is really working there.

My room had a great view. The staff was very friendly and warm. I loved all the amenities! My room was cozy and clean. I very much enjoyed my stay here and can’t wait to visit this location again very soon. Thank you Hyatt Regency and Afrouz at the front desk

The hotel is in a great convenient location, but that is about it.
$259 a night (discounted rate), and it is severely outdated. The bed is hard, and you can feel the springs. The shower head needs to be cleaned with vinegar. The thermostat was reading 65 and it was still warm and muggy in th room. You have to keep it set to 61 and hope to not sweat. There is a moldy funk to the room as well. I have stayed at Holiday Inns that have been cleaner and more comfortable.
The workers have been extremely nice.

The staff was friendly, attentive, and professional. The rooms were clean and fresh. The location of the hotel made the value of the fees well worth it.

Walking distance to all things DC. Short walk to union station was nice.

Strongly recommend

This hotel has a good location, and the service throughout the hotel feels a bit like a state-owned unit. The front desk had a poker face and no manners. Called to ask what time breakfast ends and the answer was that there is no free breakfast, you have to pay. I said my order included breakfast, and I was asking you what time it would end. The other person said oh yes, your order includes breakfast, so rude. I complained directly to the front desk manager. The room facilities are very old. I don’t recommend this hotel.
