Disappointing Stay – Not Up to Usual Marriott Standards
I’ve stayed at several Marriott properties before, but unfortunately, this location did not meet the usual standards. From the moment we entered, the lobby had an unpleasant odor—often a foul smell or the strong scent of weed—which was off-putting.
To make matters worse, we found a cockroach in our room, which was very unsettling. At check-in, we were initially given the wrong room type, and correcting this took a frustrating amount of time. The front desk staff seemed either unsure or uninterested in resolving the issue efficiently.
If you’re traveling with a cat, be aware that the pet fee is extremely high at $65 per day. On the plus side, I’d recommend looking into nearby parking garages, which were more convenient than expected.
Overall, I would only suggest staying at this hotel if you have no other options.

We stayed here for 3 nights for our trip in DC. Checkin was smooth and the guy who attended to us was very friendly and even tried to do small talk with his little knowledge of our country (Philippines), bless him! The welcome cookies and water was a nice touch.
We stayed in a King Room with a Sofa Bed and it was good size and comfortable. Housekeeping was prompt and cleaned our room daily.
The Location is great, just near a metro station and a lot of food options around. There’s also a 7 Eleven right beside the hotel which is so convenient! Will definitely stay here again next time we’re in DC.

My stay was awful do to nasty and unacceptable customer service of a manager named Kyan.The place is nice and the rooms are comfortable but this one person made it all a nightmare when he approached my room door banging loudly demanding me my wife and our kids to leave. Instead of professionally coming to communicate with adults this employees admitted that he chased my 11 and 12 year olds from the pool all the way to our room.I asked what was the problem and the 1st thing he said was we had 30 minutes to evacuate the building. I then informed him I’m an ex employee of Hampton Inn/Hilton and his actions aren’t acceptable in this field of work then he began to explaining what happened with the children in the pool .I don’t know what this guys motive was but we peacefully left .I won’t be coming back and I’ll make sure not to recommend anyone .

The price/performance ratio is quite high, but the location of the bed head is very strange, it is not facing the TV but the window. Also, the deposit is returned slowly and has not been returned yet.

Hotel isn’t worth the money , isn’t worth the stay , the sheets and washcloths were dirty. They never changed them. Hotels front desk agent Nicole had a nasty attitude. She made my check in very complicated. I had to go back and forth to my car 3or 4 times. This hotel is very inconvenient unless you’re a platinum member.

We called three times, and the front desk promised us that they would come up to check, but they didn't. They kept asking us to wait, and then there was no more. I don't know why, but that night I felt that I was in a very dangerous situation and was very nervous. I blocked the cat's eye and put something on the door handle. This is how Courtyard treats customer needs. Still pay attention to safety

Don't book this hotel. I didn't drive but they charged me over 900 RMB for parking. Then I couldn't get in touch with them anymore. They didn't answer my phone calls or emails! Fortunately, I booked through Ctrip, which paid for the fee!

First they couldn't find our reservation that I made through a third party website. I had to call the company I booked through and they had to call the hotel. They comped us breakfast for the issue, so that was nice.
Then the room air conditioner didn't work. They sent maintenance up to look at it, but apparently they couldn't fix it and never got back to us about changing rooms. I couldn't sleep last night since the room temperature was about 76°. I went from sweating my A$$ off to freezing when the circulating air blew over my soaked body. NOT fun.
