This Thompson Hotel in Washington DC is a wonderful property: personnel, location, service, amenities, restaurant... all fantastic! Before I arrived, I received communication from Guest Services Manager Binny, and he was fantastic to let me know more about the property, my Globalist benefits, and inquired how he could assist so that my stay was as best as possible. And he did, but so did the other staff.

My first morning's breakfast had a small glitch, but other than that, everything was fantastic at the restaurant. The food itself was excellent and this Thompson Washington DC has great coffee! I was upgraded to their best room, a corner king, and it functioned extremely well. As is typical of newer Thompson properties, rooms are not huge, but just the right size and very thoughtfully laid out. My room had three huge double windows on two streets which let me see so much of the wonderful Navy Yard/Ball Park neighborhood where there are so many restaurants and amenities right outside. The Capitol is a mile away, and I was there every day of my stay. Access to the Metro is very close by.

I could not have had a better stay than what I experienced at the Thompson Washington DC, and I look forward to visiting again!

Great place to stay, will more than likely stay here again when going back to DC. It’s in a great spot for restaurants and so close to the metro. Something to be aware of that is common in the city is they have valet parking at a price, and while there are parking garages/lots around as well, it still was between the $30-40 range over night. For me this was not a dealbreaker as I had anticipated this beforehand. When it comes to breakfast they have a restaurant downstairs or you can get room service to the room. We got the room service, which was a little bit on the pricey end, but only had a $5 delivery charge to have it sent to the room.

I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights for a conference. The location and the service is great. The rooms are clean and very nice and the staff are very nice. I had my car and used valet parking. Javon was very helpful and parked and brought my car a couple of times when I needed it. I greatly appreciate his service. I will definitely go back to this hotel and will recommend my friends and family.

I recently stayed at the Thompson DC and had a fantastic experience. The property is well-run, and everyone was super friendly. I checked in on Sunday, and as a Globalist, I was recognized and upgraded to a suite, which was a pleasant surprise. The valet service on both Sunday and Monday was friendly and efficient, making our arrival and departure seamless.

Breakfast was delicious, and I was glad to see a full menu available. The hotel's location is perfect, with walking distance to great restaurants. If you're a pizza lover, I highly recommend Emmy Squared. It's a bit pricey but absolutely delicious.

Overall, a great stay with excellent service and amenities. I would definitely return!

Hip and mid century modern decor, situated in a pretty good location in the navy yard district. We had no problem finding parking nearby and plenty of things to do in the area. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated, and service was great. They cleaned our room even though we came back at odd hours to take a nap, which was hugely appreciated. I would definitely recommend.

My best friend and I decided to stay here for best friend getaway and it did not disappoint. The look was modern and chic. The hospitality of the staff was amazing. They were beyond and helpful this includes the valet to the front desk. They need their surroundings and had great suggestions. Anything I called for they brought up and it was brought to us in fast fashion. The feel was industrial and it worked. The hotel was clean and the rooftop was nice and chill vibe. The best friend and I talked about coming back and staying there. Only thing is no housekeeping came, you may have to ask for that I’m not sure maybe cause we only stayed from Tuesday to Thursday. But it was a great hotel and I for sure recommend and I will be back.

I booked my room through a third party application. I normally book through the hotel website, but needed something last minute and cost convenient. I enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay again! Though it rained off and on I was still able to enjoy the area and my experience at the hotel. The hotel has an amazing scent it is the “Thompson” signature scent and it is heavenly. The rooms were nice, kind of like a sailor/boat them experience in my option. The rooftop had an amazing view of the navy yard area. Only cons for the room, for me the pillows were not comfortable (I like firm or foam pillows) and the shower has a half barrier meaning like back side or front depending on how you shower is left out in the cold. I’ll upload a picture to show you. Other than that amazing experience great location!! Thank you Hyatt Thompson staff!

What an amazing place to stay. From the moment you step out of the car door service begins. The rooms are a cross between retro, mid-century, and modern. Bed is comfortable and the pillows allow you to sink in. There is a refrigerator but no microwave or coffee maker. This set up was perfect for me since I only needed a fridge. Coffee can be found on the lobby level. The elevators took a minute to get used to. You indicate your floor before entering the elevator via the digital panel, there are no buttons in the elevator. Try out the rooftop. The front desk and bellman are amazing! I ordered a Lyft and the bellman checked out the vehicle before letting me enter. I would recommended this hotel to anyone. This is what customer service is about. Your stay will surely be an experience!

The staff was great. Specifically Jennifer and Lionel (front desk), and Carlos (rooftop bartender). I'm not a fan of having chillers in the room instead of refrigerators. Rooftop bar had an awesome atmosphere and views. Restaurant breakfast was good. Dinner was not as good, not bad though. Location was great. Walking distance to the metro and many restaurants.
