Comfort Hotel East Melbourne
Melbourne, 90 Albert St. 🧭 Map
The room is a bit old and not up to the standard of a four-star hotel.
Great location and was fairly quiet. Nicely renovated bedrooms. Unfortunately the beds weren't comfortable, pet hair in the room and no hand towel.
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Not quite the same as descriptions. There are some strange people that stay there. Close to transport and shops. Nice cafe at front. Budget hotel and pricing was good.
Great people worst shower ever.
Lovely employees who were very helpful at all times. The issue was the bathroom. For some reason the floor of the shower was 40 cm above floor level which means you needed to climb in and out. This was made more difficult by the placement of the sink next to the door which meant the door only opened one third of the way.
This makes the shower unsuitable for larger people...
Overall bed was comfortable
The condition of the room and furniture are old and need replacing updating
Need hand towels in bathroom to dry your hands
Also need folder with information for places to eat, things to do, places to see etc in room which would be really helpful as I’ve never been there before.
Overall the staff were lovely..
A great overnight stay when having to visit the hospital. Room was nice and very comfortable, albeit a bit old. Would definitely stay there again if needed to.

Wyndham Hotel Melbourne
Melbourne, 199 William Street 🧭 Map
Clean and comfortable, a good solution with a second room with two singles for our tween kids.
Good kitchen facilities (microwave, dish drawer, gas cooker, and full fridge/freezer) for those wanting to self cater. A few blocks from Spencer St station and Skybus, handy to free "green zone" trams in the city.
Beautiful complex with great sized apartments, beds are huge! Rooftop pool with the best view, great location close to everything, good common spaces and lovely staff. Can't wait to stay again.
The service was amazing the staff was really kind and helpful. The room was okay. I found a couple of issues which I passed on to the management to look into it. The pool, gym and library was amazing it was clean and tidy. I'm happy with Wyndham Hotel.
My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights, and couldn’t fault our stay. The location is central to everything, the studio bed was huge, in fact the highlight of the room. The outdoor heated pool was also incredible and a delight to swim in at night with breathtaking views of the city.
This hotel is an easy walk or choose a tram for a quicker ride to the Mall. Most rooms are apartment style with studio's up to 3 bedroom style available and with most having their own balcony and kitchens.
Having stayed here many times and with kids the pool on the 23rd floor is nice and long for large numbers of guests to relax in - only downfall is the lack of shade on a hot day.
Reception team are...
Good location. Nice large rooms that are well furnished. As usual the bathroom needs somewhere to put your clothes..a small table or stool would do. Not much preparation space in the kitchenette, but ok if you're not too ambitious in your cooking requirements.

There for a wedding so stayed for a couple of nights and it was perfect with great service and the room was very clean. Highly recommend
Enjoyed the stay, good location, nice facility and will stay again, thanks!
Clean tidy, check in was annoying but ik
I have enjoyed my previous stays at the property very much. This stay was not as good. The quality of house keeping has slipped enormously. The mugs and cutlery were dirty (and obviously so) and there was no butter (to have on our toast) on the second day of our stay. There are also maintenance issues. The coffee maker is self evidently broken and does not work. The lighting above the outside stairs...
The room was great it was large, the bed was soft and cozy, the shower was big but there was so much water leakage that the bath mat got drenched, there was rubbish left from a previous guest in the drawer under the TV as well as in the bedroom drawers, I threw it all in the bin. The kitchen was well stocked as well as a Continental breakfast which was nice. I felt secure and safe in this property...
Very clean and functional space. Private car park is easily accessible and a good price. Proximity is close to many St Kilda key locations. 5/5 would definitely recommend.

Pros: Convenient location with a quick tram ride to Chapel St. The was a kitchen, but we didn't do so can't comment on whether it had the right equipment for cooking. Full size hair dryer in the bathroom. Bathroom also had washer and dryer. Would be convenient for longer stays.
Cons: Room was quite dark, there was mould in the shower cubicle, getting into the shower cubicle is quite a squeeze (larger...
Solid apartment style hotel room. Ours had a good sized kitchen, a small lounge room, washer and dryer, ironing board and drying rack. The carpets/walls are a bit run down and there's a small bit of mould in the shower. It's a good location, with plenty to do within a short tram ride and the tram is just out the front door. A solid stay if you need the location and facilities.
Quite nice apartments. Full kitchen, laundry and 2 bathrooms. Few pans in the apartment but they were great at getting more.
Great location, friendly staff, recently updates rooms, and really good double glazed windows (very quiet).
Very handy if you have family or friends at the Alfred Hospital.
Hotel is worn out and rooms are old. Was OK to stay at the rates offered but there are better places to stay in the area.

Great vibe, Mason made me feel at home at the football Sunday club. He’s been great to help me make friends. Everyone here is so friendly as well.
The female dormitory has windows for ventilation, which is good. It is a good choice. The only problem is that the noise from the DJ at night sometimes affects the rest until 1 or 2 o'clock.
Comfortable stay for a couple. Just what we needed in a good location within walking distance of St Kilda Beach and multiple restaurants and grocery stores. Would stay here again for a short stay
When you enter the hostel, the reception and entrance are the impressions that make the difference. The hostel is clean and the reception is bright and friendly.
I was surprised to see a bar on the first floor, and they said they were having a party.
I was there on Monday and Tuesday, and it was my birthday that day, and it was a crazy bingo party. Thanks to that, I had fun celebrating my birthday...
Clean rooms, friendly staff. 10/10
It was comfortable and nice that it was a hostel but had a private bathroom in the room! It was close to the beach and had various facilities so it would be good for a long-term stay.

Nice room. Stayed on second floor and had to carry my luggage up the stairs which was tiring. Room is clean and everything is fine
Very convenient place if you prefer to stay on the northern side. It's a bit outdated but that's not important. will return for sure.
Clean and convenient
A good basic hotel, very clean, friendly staff and convenient location.
Good place to stay, rooms and facilities are very nice and the staff were excellent. Parking was easy and free. Not alot immediately around the motel in terms of eating and drinking but that's not the motel's fault.
The property was within walking distance of the venue where the concert was staged
Absolutely love it here. Traditional old school place with proper service - safety pins included! None of the impersonal conveyor belt feeling in modern hotels. Wonderful old style dining area, 2 little outdoor seating areas and rooms with everything you’d need, even electric blankets!

Overall it was great. Lots of stairs which was a bit hard with my cane.
The top bunk ladder was missing and we assumed that the hostel knew but after talking to them they didn't.
We weren't able to use the top bunk because it was bending
Hostel is in a nice position close but outside the CBD's chaos. Shops and train station are within a 10 minutes walk and tram and bus stop are just in front. The area is also very green as it is in between two parks, one of them being the Royal Botanical Gardens, a huge and fantatisc park.
Hostel is provided with two kitchens and various type of accommodations, from private room to mixed dorm. In the...
À great place to stay.
Not too far from the beach, the city center and south yarra train station and many great restaurants .
The receptionist are very friendly.
The costumers are young and mostly from overseas.
The road in front of the hostel are little bit busy though.
We stayed here for 3 nights, upon arrival there was a mix up of what room we were in which Aaron who works on reception was quick to resolve and everything was fine. The hostel is great value for money, the communal areas were cleaned daily as we saw the cleaners during our stay.
My only criticism would be it could do with a refurb as some parts of thr hostel look dated. This wouldn't stop us from...
Great hostel. Wifi was strong. Everything was clean. Staff was very responsive. Price was fantastic. The hostel is about a 20–25 minute tram ride from the Centre of town or a 45 minute walk along the Yarra which was delightful. Trams from outside the door and a station within 5 minutes walking distance. Awesome vibes. Would absolutely stay here again on my next trip to Melbourne.
Social, clean, and a great spot!

Street noise late at night. Venue nearby. Traffic noise in the morning. Not double glazed.
A surprisingly pleasant stay. The room was large and clean with all the amenities I needed. Large bathroom as well. Very quiet and good undercover parking albeit a bit “tight”. Overall it was a good experience. I will go again next time I am in Melbourne.
. The stairs look lovely, but very hard to get up if you have any difficulty walking. I do have a hard time doing that, so maybe a lift of some sort. As I would love to return for stay.
Wonderful place to stay with family.. beautifully restored and maintained - great feel and perfect location
Excellent hotel by the Swinburne campus
Excellent vintage-style hotel near Swinburne campus. Despite being located next to a pub, the noise didn’t bother me. My room featured a whirlpool bath (unexpected!) and two beds (king+single). It was more than reasonably priced for its comfort. The only downside - my window faced a brick wall. I stayed there for two night during my professional visit of the...

The Indian or Pakistani receptionist guy, that is every evening working at the reception, has a lack of professionality and gives me always a bad damaged room, before I always ask to change and give me a better room.
The price is good for the Australian standards, but don’t expect so much. The bedroom was looking good, but not so clean, the WiFi wasn’t even existing, the sink pipe was letting the water running slowly. Staff not that welcoming, kind of bothered , when I asked to have another room instead. Last but not least, around lunch and dinner time, the bad smell of the kitchen will enter inside your room,...
If you want to stay somewhere where you don’t want to hear any noise with solid concrete noise or just a short stay, this to me was the perfect place. Highly recommend will come again.
Many thanks for your assistance. The room clean and sufficient for my needs for a quick overnight stay. Yes, the only drawback is the access to and from the facility, but this can be overcome with a little patience. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Once again, many thanks .
It’s great for when you have a weird flight schedule and need to rest up for a couple of hours. Just 10 minutes drive from Melbourne Airport. Easy to get around. No microwave so better to eat out. Plenty of food options available within minutes.

The quality of the room was exceptionally good. Modern, very clean, especially the bathroom. The staff were accommodating. The location is very good, right in the middle of Melbourne just a short walk from Southern Cross Station. Finally, I booked my stay in conjunction with my flight through Webjet and the price I got was absolutely unexpectedly excellent. They truly deserve five stars on all accounts...
Stayed for 2 nights. Great location and price. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Room seemed a bit outdated but clean. Bathroom looked renovated. There were some issues with noise from rooms nearby especially since the room is small and the door is close to the beds. Overall a pleasant stay.
I got a slight shock when opening the door to see how tiny the room was. However, I was generally impressed with everything considering its budget accommodation. It was very clean and in an ideal location. The shower was fantastic and reception staff were lovely. The only complaint we have is that the pillows were extremely uncomfortable resulting in a bit of a rough sleep. Overall we were happy with...
Superb location along Kings Street and 3 min away from Southern Cross station. Room was smaller than expected though toilet was renovated. A few facilities were closed due to renovations. Suits those who are only here for quick getaway. Staff service was beyond reproach and every request was quickly attended to with utter courtesy. Throughout my stay there I never witnessed any unhappy guest.
Great staff, very newly renovated room, close to station. The hallways to rooms are a little poky and run down however the room itself albeit small was spotlessly clean and newly renovated. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff are excellent, the service was really good in most instances & the breakfast buffet was wonderful. I really enjoyed interacting with the friendly & helpful people.

For the business traveller, fair at best. Very old and showing its very old age everywhere you look. Basic rooms, empty old bar fridge with not even a bottle of water, busted tables, and no USB charging ports in the room (its 2023 guys!). Nah, they should do better at these prices for a big brand hotel.
Arrived at the hotel very early with the only expectation to be able to park our ca and leave our bags before heading out to the city. The service was wonderful and they allowed us to access our room immediately, including the upgrade as a platinum member.

I went here for dinner and drinks with some friends and found it really pleasant and relaxed. The staff were friendly, the food was good and reasonably priced. Quite a decent margherita pizza and a quality fish of the day cooked on the bone. I'd definitely go back.
Great local pub with good selection of Wine, tap beers and great food.
The food is good. I had the Arancini both times I've been here. Not disappointed. Next timer will try something else.
A good and reasonably priced pub meal. Nice place to visit, staff are friendly.
Food was generous and well made, the salad was fresh and the Rose wine chilled well.

Very conveniently located in the heart of Melbourne. Hotel is dated and aged but still nice to stay at. Everything works fine and the essentials such as airocondition, TV, access keys,.. have been updated. Lobby staff were helpful and room was very generously sized for such a location.
What a little treasure... firstly - a shout out to the young lady who checked us in the other day (March 2019) - she was one of the FRIENDLIEST and happy workers I have ever seen and it made such a huge difference to our stay. Keep up the good attitude young lady it will take you far!
Now for the room... it was OK.... the only downside was after it was cleaned there was a distinct smell of bleach all...
Friendly staff and quite nice rooms considering the price. The location is great. I didn't find anything wrong with the room or hotel in general. I would definitely stay again.
Location is great, just one street away from the mall. Rooms are clean and staff have been very polite.
Room a bit rundown. Noisy lift. Great location.
Great location. The decor is a little dated and when I stayed 8-11 August '17 they have just started renovating the ground and 1st floor. The room was on the top floor and a bit smaller than I expected but it was clean and serviceable since it was just somewhere to sleep. Plenty of nearby places to eat so the lack of on site dining was no issue.

Rooms are small and very basic but for a night they are fine. Having a McDonalds within 150 m is a plus, when you just want a quick meal. The staff are friendly, the only negative is the lack of an elevator and since most rooms are on the 2nd or 3rd floors, this is a pain.
Not value for money in my opinion. The room is small but bearable. The bathroom is like a caravan bathroom. Very tiny and I don't think suitable for those with mobility issues. There is a step up to the tiny toilet space and then the shower is in the next space. It is fairly convenient for my purpose, close to the airport but I wouldn't stay here again. The bed feels comfortable but haven't slept in...
Pretty much what you expect from an ibis budget - perfect for that late night layover flight if you need to do it. Location is good for those stopovers and very short walk from the terminal.
The rooms are passable, but not the best. Accessibility for late night checkin (past midnight) was handy.
Nice hotel, very simple but comfortable. Its a bit expensive because of the location although very convenient for early flights.
Not very roomy but it's very well equipped, cleaned and maintained, making it a lovely place to stay. Plus the staff are very nice. It's a bit pricy for the room size but I find it acceptable considering the great location.

Excellent value for money accommodation. Not budget but not expensive. I've stayed twice in two different sized rooms - they are clean and roomy. Beds are soft and cloud like, showers are clean. There is also on site car parking if you are driving or have a friend visit.
Across the road is parklands with small ponds with fountains and seating nearby. Very relaxing.
This place is now my go to accommodation...
My partner and I were very pleased with this hotel. The location is amazing, with 2 grocery stores, liquor store, and restaurants within easy walking distance. The rates are very reasonable and there is plenty of parking. The room was spacious, clean and had all amenities required. The noisy traffic may affect light sleepers but this can be remedied by the use of earplugs.
Very solid, ticked all our boxes. Fast internet, beautiful park across the road, tram on the doorstep, room was clean and staff happy and friendly. Ample free parking so close to the city a huge bonus. Rooms are dated, but very clean and surprisingly quiet given the location. Maybe a four and a half, just due to decor. A well run business I'd be happy to recommend.
Had a ground floor unit, quiet, clean and the biggest shower ever. Breakfast was great and the location is superb with the tram at your door. Just needs a toaster in the room. thanks Lester
