Melbourne, 353 Church Street 🧭 Map
This was the first time I stayed here when I went to Melbourne for their family day. Room was all I needed but I was at the front and the noise from traffic & trams continued long into the morning... made SLEEPING difficult.
Breakfast was basic but filling...
Excellent coffee... (v. important)
Lounge comfortable with fireplace.
Sorry no pics.
This place was great! Fantastic value for money! I stayed here for a week whilst my girlfriend was in Cains for the week. Breakfast every morning, a small little bar if you fancy something to wet your whistle. The bathrooms are nice, and it's a tram away from the centre! Great place, Great service; would definitely come again.
In terms of quality and facilities I'd probably give the hotel 3*. The hotel room only has a bed and a small table, plus heater, ceiling fan and a small TV. No room to do much besides laying on the bed. They also cap the free wifi, so you can't watch videos or download anything big. The bathroom space is shared, though each guest is at least given their own towel, but no soap or shampoo.
The reason...
We were an interstate group of 20 needing 2 nights accommodation. Couldn't have found a better venue. Rooms were clean and pleasant, lovely ambiance throughout, lounge/dining area perfect for unwinding at the end of long days out, and breakfast was much more generous and classy than expected for the great price. Staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. Thank you!
Had an amazing stay from start to finish at this lovely terraced hotel in a super convenient location close to the city. The room was comfortable, very clean and the terrace was an incredible bonus. Staff were welcoming and lovely. The bar is the perfect spot for a quiet drink and the breakfast was generous and delicious. Thankyou, Richmond Hill Hotel. We will be back! 5 stars.
We stayed here for one night in a double room (lowest category, 90$). The room was quite small, unfortunately not equipped with a cupboard but with a hanger instead, which was absolutely sufficient. Furthermore the room had a TV, a fridge, mirror and nightstand. The bed was comfortable. Additionally we were very satisfied with the breakfast, because it was better than any other Australian breakfast...

Good value to stay. The hotel is interesting because not all of building belongs to hotel so that it is hard to find if you never been here before (the hotel is from level 6). When you arrive first, you will think oh the hotel is so old! Looks like a 70-80's hallway but don't worry inside is exactly same as the pics that they posted on the website. Great location right in the heart of everything. We were on 12th floor and it take 2 separate lifts to get to and if you have alot of stuff its a hike. Check in simple on 6th floor bit we arrived at 2pm. Rooms were nice but as you can see there was water damage and exposed wires in apartment. Kitchen and living area very small for 3 of us.

Docklands Private Collection - Digital Harbour
Melbourne, 7/198 Harbour Esplanade, Docklands, 3008 Melbourne, Australia 🧭 Map
Enjoyable stay at this property, the location is very handy to all amenities from dining options to having public transport right outside the building.
located within free transpotation zone convient to.railway station, quiet environment.
Pretty happy with this property. The tram station out front is extremely convenient and easy to navigate. There was construction going on outside and when the door was closed you couldn’t hear it at all. It was convenient to have a washer and dryer because we got absolutely soaked at the F1. Dockland is a nice area to stay. I would stay again.
We liked the location and it was very clean and quiet. Arriving at 7pm it took us 3 laps to find somewhere to stop to justd get key and instructions. Very confusing, someone ended up helping us get into foyer otherwise I don’t know how long it would have taken us and we’re not that hopeless. It’s on a busy road with no spots to stop, quite stressful when you’re going to a concert.
Great value stay - tram stops outside the building
The room was spacious and well furnished. The bed was a bit on the small side but the value for money was excellent. The communication from the property was also prompt and good. Docklands is a bit out of the way from the central CBD of Melbourne but if you don't mind the tram, there are plenty that stop just infront of the building. Also, the docklands...
Great Price Great Location
Great location. Public transportation right out your front door. The apartment was roomy and had a well equipped kitchen. It has a washer and dryer in the apartment which we used often. The bed was comfortable. Walking distance to groceries, shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again.

Visited during the holiday season, loved the vibe and the services are great. They make the best burgers and I really liked the services given by Shahina. Pleasant place with amicable people.
Came in with my parents for a lunch in the bistro during the week. My mum had the fish of the day which was salmon and she absolutely loved it. Manager Brylee treated my family and I very well. Making sure everything was okay and how we were enjoying everything. Lovely customer service from all staff and very prompt. Will be back
Last Friday night, we booked an 8.00pm table for 4. Due to delays at the airport, we were 10 minutes late for our booking. Being four “oldies”, the dining room staff were absolutely fantastic in looking after us. We were given a quiet table to enjoy our meal, the food service was quick, and the meals were very satisfying. We have a “Wedding Anniversary “ to celebrate later in March, so, we’ll definitely...
Had a reunion luncheon for a large group of my work mates, and I must commend the Excelsior for the exceptional service they provided, particularly from Sharon and Josh, who ensured we were well looked after. Could not have asked for better service.
The food was excellent, and the venue has been upgraded to a high standard from when we met there last year.
I have no problem recommending the Excelsior...
When looking for a venue for my Dad's wake I came across the Excelsior Hotel. Other venues were charging per head which didn't suit us as we weren't sure how many people would attend. Exceptional staff in a beautiful boutiqe hotel. Great location and super stylish. Unpretentiously classy! I love staying here when visiting Melbourne.
What a shame. Food is good however most mains are entree sizes at main prices. 10 of us for lunch and most will be getting a second meal when they leave.
I often stay at the Coppersmith when working in Melbourne. The location is perfect, situated between the Albert Park Swimming Pool and the South Melbourne Market. Rooms are clean, comfortable and well priced.
Fabulous food, rooftop deck & benches inside in front of the panels…
Absolutely loved this place. Stayed at the hotel and also ate at the restaurant. Beautiful food. Lovely hotel at a good price. Warm, friendly staff.
New year, new life!!! We've been coming to the Coppersmith for a few years now. In the early days we had a few issues with the service and food quality which has made more of our "dog walking" watering hole. After the Christmas break we came back to find it has a new chef and new menu. On a beautiful summers night we decided to extend our usual beers to include the new menu... and it did not dissapoint...

Absolutely fantastic accommodation in a superb area! We had a modern serviced apartment on the top floor with a balcony overlooking the entire city. Simply stunning, only downside was having to share two keys between 5 of us and there was only one key fob to share between us to let us into the building. The fact that there were so many amazing shops, restaurants, cafes & bars in such close proximity...
Great location and the apartment was good, a bit disappointed that the photos shown during booking didn’t match the room we received. Delayed check-in due to cleaning times. A bit rude that the advertised ‘Access to health club’ actually means pay extra for access to an off-site health club (anytime fitness)
Great location, excellent service and facilities. The bed is a little firm and there is no air conditioning to the bedroom so we had to run the lounge area aircon to cool the room for our toddler to sleep comfortably. The bathroom had a smell reminiscent of mold but appeared clean, maybe it had something to do with the (super convenient) washer and dryer combo that was also in there. Do yourself a...

Great value place to stay with lovely staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with parking included. Overall a nice and quiet place to stay
This place is really good value. Staff are friendly, check in and out are easy as. Rooms are clean, albeit a little dated and old. But sheets and towels are clean. Shower is hot. TV works (though I never asked how to get the foxtel working).
The car parking is free, and I saw a few spots still free at various times of the day.
Overall a really good stay and would definitely come back.
Great for a 3 star hotel. Clean, large room, convenient location, friendly staff, good parking. Will definitely stay again.
5 stars for value for money. Won’t find better for the price. Do not trust the negative reviews, not sure what the reviewers were expecting for such a good price. Almost the same price as a campsite and complaining about paint job and decors? Sleep outside then! Friendly staff, quick check in and out.
I booked last minute - based on price and location. 33min walk to AAMI Park. There is little new or fancy about City Park Hotel, however it did provide a roof over my head, a warm shower and comfy bed. Had undercover parking for my car. The Lady at the front desk was lovely and helpful with all of the questions that I asked. If I was in need of accommodation in this area again, I would book here again
Don't allow posted photos to indicate the decor of the rooms. Quite dated, with cleanliness leaving a bit to be desired. Bathroom had foreign hair throughout.
Location is the saviour here, with convenient access to trams. Price IS indicative of quality in this case, with room rates below average for this part of the city. Ok for a night or two, but don't come with high expectations.

Loved staying here with my daughters, perfect for going to see Harry Potter, as its so close. Was very clean and comfortable, and staff were friendly and helpful. Great being able to park overnight in their car park, cost was very reasonable for both room and for parking. Would stay here again.
Perfectly positioned in the heart of the theatre district, it's literally a 30-second walk from the Princess Theatre to your hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are modern and spacious. The bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel, and the kitchenette allows you to prepare your own meals. The rooms are a good size. The bed was very comfortable. Perfect location for Princess Theatre and restaurants. I wish I had taken the name of the fellow at reception when we checked in and out. He was very efficient, polite and friendly. We arrived late morning Sat 20th and checked out Sun 21st July.
Great location. Excellent service and check in. Rooms clean and good size. Can not complain about anything.
It's a beautiful hotel in Chinatown. We booked a room for two people and stayed for one night. The rooms are quite spacious and have a small kitchen with dining table. Also, the bathroom is big enough and has everything you need. Neither the view nor the decoration is outstanding though.

This hotel is amazing im so happy
I stayed at this hotel the rooms where good room sercive was nice not a lot of noise walking in the room smelt fresh showers are pretty big in some rooms. I like how there is a DO NOT DISTURB for people who sleep in and stuff. One suggestion is add more ameras but otherwise im happy to stay here again. One more suggestion add air fresher in the bathroom
I loved this hotel, the receptionist is super friendly and cooperative. The room was very clean and smell very good. Similarly the bathroom was clean with enough towels and toilet paper.
The car park space is available as well.
Best quality for money hotel. Clean and tidy. Not to the say customer service experience.
Witnessed a small quarrel between the front desk and another customer (due to booking issues). Dealt by the young lad at the front desk very professionally. Did not end up like Karen tiktoks.

We booked room 1 and when we arrived, the room was so stinky that we couldn't sit there for a minute. I spoke with the staff and she said that all the rooms were booked except number 3 but that I would have to pay an extra fee because it was for four adults. Room 3 was not smelly, but the sheets were unclean. The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked.

This review is purely for how helpful Rachel was today.
I moved into one of the apartments this Friday and haven’t had electricity. I still don’t. However, until Rachel this afternoon, I was met with such rude staff who weren’t willing to help.
Rachel went above and beyond to make me feel like I mattered and that being comfortable was important. If only everyone was as lovely!

A really lovely place to stay! This hotel felt so cosy and safe which I really appreciated as it was my first solo trip. Would love to stay here again but I’m unsure if I will as the price was a little high for my budget, other than that everything was perfect :]

Free sparkling and still water was appreciated, as was the drink ticket.
I worked in the cafe bar space the next day and enjoyed the food and drinks. Cocktails were very tasty.

I highly recommend it and would gladly return for another visit

The rooms are large and located in the city center, about a 7-minute walk from Chinatown. The kitchen is fully equipped with refrigerators, home appliances and dishwashers.
The room facilities are a bit outdated, the washing machine and dryer are separate, and the model is a bit outdated. The hotel has an excellent location, with a large flat-floor view of the city and hot air balloons. The water temperature in the hotel must be criticized. There is a serious lag between hot and cold.
