This was the most beautiful hotel we stayed in during our Greek islands trip. Wow wow wow ! The rooms are absolutely stunning and the pools are gorgeous. It very modern and very clean. They thought of everything .
The service absolutely remarkable. They have drivers to take you to and from beach for free . They also can arrange drivers around town with great rates.
The breakfast buffet is a MUST, everything is delicious. They have a gym and it’s great !
My favourite thing about this hotel was the service Sophia offered. She made sure everything was taken care of and made sure we had the best 20th anniversary.
Thank you Sophia and team for a dream trip come true. We will be back for sure !

If you want to see all the insects in the earth such as bedbugs, Cockroaches & many more while your stay . The front desk people are extremely rude as they are disgrace to customer service. It's surprising that these folks hired to do a customer service job.

Honestly this place wasn't that bad. It has an amazing location, spacious rooms, was clean, and the guy at the front desk was super nice! Yes, it was outdated and some things weren't working but it's not the biggest deal. The rooms did get super hot at night but the front desk guy told us to keep our windows open a few hours before we go to bed (there aren't mosquitoes) which really helped! We also brought a fan with us. My biggest complaint is that the beds were pretty hard and the pillows were way too soft. If you're going to invest in anything at a hotel, invest in nice beds!

For a 2 star hotel, I personally think that’s a pretty low rating, the room was clean. The staff was helpful considering I was a tourist and I was able to pay upfront which I really prefer, when I come and visit Vancouver again I will absolutely be staying here.

I went in expecting 2 star quality but it was worse.
Started with the fact that they didn't know when I can check in, saying I should come around 4:30 to be safe as several people checking out late, I have never seen this before, checkin is already late at 3 to make sure this doesn't happen and they still couldn't control it.
Internet is horrible depending on your room, was somewhat okay in the building but barely got any in the room and had hard time working.
Place is practically falling apart and crazy old.
No fan so when the sun is up it's very hot and you need to open the window which you end up having so mamy flies inside and maybe even a bird if you left the room with window open.
The place is more expensive than it should be and they can easily improve it with little budget.
Aside from the nice cleaning people and one guy in the reception that had a nice smile along with the good location, there was nothing else good in this place.
Unless you have no other place to go and you must be in the center then I advise to look for a different place.

I remember staying here when I was too young to go out to the bars in the states but Canada's legal drinking age was 19. So about 4 of us young men lived near the border and decided to visit Vancouver, BC - and someone in our group found this hotel for us to stay a few nights while exploring the city. It looked like it must have been about 30 stories tall from the street, we were all for it! The rate was phenomenal! And everyone loves American money in Canada, we had one heck of a time. The rooms are like what you'd picture a Motel 6 on the side of Interstate X in 1981. With one crucial difference: you are wwaaaayyy up on floor 28! There are only 4 rooms per floor. If you are young and traveling, give it a whirl!

A spartan, older, but clean, hotel. Rooms look to be originally apartments (bedroom, living room and kitchen). Older decor, but serviceable, clean and functioning.
Front desk was very understanding when we called for last-minute booking in need when another place fell through. Would use again.

I stayed 5 nights in an 11th-floor room that looked exactly like what the photos showed. The room was historical but clean, pleasant with a nice simple kitchen.
I give 5 stars to the service team. They are passion and humorous. Lady Asna is especially helpful.

We loved the Tropicana! We lived in the West End for 17 years so it was nice get to stay in the old neighborhood in such a central location.
The room was clean, very spacious and after traveling for the last 24 hours it proved to be incredibly comfortable as well. We woke up to a beautiful view and Asna at the front desk who had already been more than helpful assured us we had one of the best rooms in the building! Thank you Asna!
Highlight: the full kitchen is awesome! Because of the great location there is no shortage of great restaurants in the area but there’s also a massive Safeway and a few local markets around that make having the kitchen a huge advantage if you just wanna stay in!

My girlfriend and I had a great time here. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. No outlets in the bedroom which was weird. We couldn’t plug our lamps in. We had a great view of the city. Check in and check out was very smooth. Asna provided terrific customer service! We will be back.
