位置很好,出行很方便

The breakfast was good, English + Southern European style breakfast. The downsides were that the indoor air conditioning was noisy and could not be adjusted, the blackout curtains were not closed, which made it too bright in the morning and affected sleep, and the shower space was small.

Unfortunately I did not have a good experience at this hotel. Upon arrival it was clear that the hotel was very tired and in need of rejuvenation. The carpets in the corridors were very old and needing replacement. I entered the room and on inspection found a cockroach on the interior of the bathroom door. I left the room immediately and headed for reception. I was not offered an apology by the receptionist working at the time, she became flustered and just informed me that there were no other rooms available. My company then had to find me alternative accommodation for the remainder of my stay. Even when sitting in reception waiting for my transport to my other hotel I was still not offered an apology neither was I offered any water/tea/coffee whilst I waited, considering the utter inconvenience it had caused. Would not recommended.

This is a three star in the centre of Nicosia. It was clean and simple and met our requirements (mostly). Although there was a menu in reception there was no food available. We stayed for three nights and tried to get a drink on the final night but it was not available.

The hotel nice and quiet. The breakfast was good and adequate. This is a classic type hotel with nice design It is good for families and couples. I stayed at 286 very nice room a way from any noise. The team were nice , friendly and helpful Special thanks for Mr.Savva and Miss Sofia. And thanks for restaurant team and housekeeping team . My staying was for 3 nights but to come back again. Regards for Castelli hotel management

I have been at the hotel five nights and I could not wait to leave the place: The Smell in the baathroom is really anoying: They have a swage problem that is very noticeable. I was moved after complaint to annother room where it was better but still persisting. The cleaning is below standard. One thing is an old hotel and another is a dirty hotel...The hotel is located near the buffer zone and the Lephteria square, althought e streets behind the hotel are not very recommendable at night. The lady at the reception is far from nice. I dont recomend it

Would never visit the hotel again, had to ask to be moved on the first day as the room just wasn’t acceptable, there were 3 large black mould patches on the ceiling, there was an awful smell in the bathroom. Whole hotel needs up dated. Carpets in the halls were fraying and dirty. The lady receptionist in the morning was very unhelpful and never smiled. Only decent thing about the place was the girl on the desk at night, she always smiled and acknowledged you.

(See update and response to the owner’s reply below).

First and foremost - this is NOT a safe hotel, and I say this as a well-built man.

A dispute over a 20 euro phone bill apparently justifies the manager in using threats, assault and damage of property. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and never been grabbed or had a fist raised at me like I have here. No amount of money justifies this, especially not a measly 20 euros.

In all my years of traveling, I can say with certainty this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

1. The room was unclean on arrival, with rubbish on the floor, including somebody’s used tissue.

2. The aircon was useless, and if anything seemed to make an already hot room hotter. The balcony door was stuck shut and couldn’t open.

3. No hot water - not as much of an issue in summer, but you still feel dirty and unclean.

4. Staff were not only rude and unhelpful, but seem to treat paying guests with disdain. I got into a situation with my bank where I couldn’t access my money, and the man at the counter, when trying to use the phone to call out - clearly alone and desperate and in need of help at 2:30am - was rude and dismissive, and couldn’t seem to fathom the concept of customer service.

I note others have listed the same issues in their reviews also - namely the aircon, the dirt and conditions of the rooms, the hot water. Overall, a very negative impression, and I would recommend to anyone to avoid this place. Horrible customer service, poor quality.

————————

Edited to add: I note the owner has replied to my review (after initially trying and failing to have it removed). Respond I must!

◾️Note how they don’t deny grabbing and manhandling customers.

◾️Their claim of me damaging the room is a blatant lie - if anything the room was nicer after I left, after picking up the rubbish left on the floor from previous guests. I can provide photos if need be.

◾️Another lie is the claim of me crossing the buffer zone illegally (?) - my next destination was actually Larnaca so I’m not sure where they got their info from.

To the owner - if you spent your time improving your hotel and service instead of spouting rubbish on google, maybe you’d have more a 3 star rating? Inform whoever you like, I won’t be back!

I originally posted this on google, but it the owner seems to have flagged it. Read to understand why. I post this so others don’t have to experience what I did at this awful hotel. First and foremost: **THIS IS NOT A SAFE HOTEL**. I’m a well built man and I felt threatened and intimidated - see further. A dispute over a 20 euro phone bill apparently justifies the manager in using threats, assault and damage of property (I had my backpack ripped after the manager tried to grab me and physically assault me). I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and never had a fist raised at me like I have here. No amount of money justifies this, especially not a measly 20 euros. The manager is a greasy ****, and there’s a nicer hotel literally next door if you’re after the location. ————— In all my years of traveling, I can say with certainty this is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. 1. The room was dirty on arrival, with rubbish on the floor, including somebody’s tissue (as pictured). 2. The aircon was absolutely useless, and if anything seemed to make an already hot room hotter. Worst hotel ever stayed at .very very dated. Nowhere nice to relax, Aircon not working, water out of the taps was brown.
Outside the hotel everywhere is boarded up or bricked up .
Share your experiences, help others make the right choice!
Think about what you would like to know if you were looking for a review about a place to relax. Please describe in detail what you liked and what you didn't. What would you advise to other guests and to the hotel owner. The more fully you tell about the hotel, the easier it will be for other people to make a choice and they will be very grateful to you!
