Good price for location. Quite complete facilities. Good bfast and dinner. The elevator stops between floors. So better prepare if u need to bring a stroller with u.

The Hotel is a bit old, but the room was very comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is probably the best aspect. It's a 5 minutes drive to the Königssee parking lot. There are many restaurants and supermarkets around. The breakfast is also excellent.

We were pleased to get a family room here as a walk-in. The family room was very spacious and had one large bed and two twin beds. The breakfast is included in the price. It was as close to an "American breakfast" that we've seen in a German hotel. It was walking distance to quite a few things including the train station.

We stayed in an apartment. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The view of the river was beautiful and breakfast was fantastic. The bed, pillows, and towels weren't the greatest ever but still sufficient.

This one is a very nice hotel. Got a great spacious room with super comfortable beds, a balcony with nice view to the Alps. Also included was a complementary breakfast. There is also plenty of parking available for free of charge.

We got a family room for our family of four and it's great (nearly a suite for a very good value). Very convenient to town and a decent breakfast. The pool is a bit small and can get loud but was appreciated since it was very hot while we were here.

Rooms have a wonderful view! (at least mine did) Couldn't ask for a more peaceful view while enjoying breakfast either! I had a room with an amazing view of the town and mountains. The staff were very friendly and easy to communicate with. The bathroom was fairly large compared to other European hotels I've stayed at. The location is about a five minute walk from the train and bus station so it is very convenient. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The rooms are small , but quaint, with beautiful woodwork in the traditional Bavarian style. The bathroom very modern and clean. The Breakfast buffet has a nice selection of everything one could desire, even a few vegetarian spreads. We had a very comfortable stay here for two nights. The location was absolutely gorgeous and very close to hitlers “eagles nest” (only 15 mins away) and you’re surrounded by beautiful mountains. We stayed at the Explorer for a total of 3 nights before and after our hiking tour in the region and had a great stay. Staff was accommodating and helpful, utilities including sauna clean and new, and breakfast a highlight. Excellent concept for a hotel catering to adventure travelers. Room was basic but was clean, bright and open with plenty of storage and charging. Sauna facilities for a room at this cost was amazing.
