We were traveling by car from Germany to Austria, and we had always wanted to visit the Eagle's Nest, Lake Königssee and Jena Peak. So we stayed at Kempinski for two nights and celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary

We booked a balcony room, and the pillows in the room were too soft and uncomfortable to sleep. The surrounding environment is first-class and invincible, and I took many beautiful photos

The environment is great, with the Alps just outside the room. The breakfast is rich, and the dinner in the hotel restaurant is also great. A satisfying vacation.

Especially the restaurant, we booked a candlelight dinner in advance, and the hotel also helped to customize tiramisu cake. It was an unforgettable journey!

The hotel environment was super good, the rooms were large and comfortable, and it was convenient to drive to various attractions halfway up the mountain

The room facilities give people a heavy feeling, and the door needs to be pushed hard to open. The coffee pot is also cramped

The location is simply breathtaking, nestled amidst some of the most beautiful mountains I've ever seen. They offer an impressive variety of steam and sauna rooms

This family owned Hotel has thought of every little detail and fulfilled it. The rooftop has a restaurant/lounge, an indoor pool with a bistro and a large outdoor patio. Gorgeous views in every direction

The servers were nice, competent and helpful, always greeting you when you walk by. Also the lobby was very big and comfortable with nice chairs and sofas, perfect for playing cards or having a drink

Great room in a nicely located Bavarian hotel with comfy beds and good amenities. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very good with the best views I’ve had during breakfast for many years

There is a sauna but not much else, but don't worry, the uphill trek will be enough exercise

Rooms have a wonderful view! (at least mine did) Couldn't ask for a more peaceful view while enjoying breakfast either! Loved the part of town with plenty of places nearby to eat (really enjoyed the Greek place across the street and ice cream up the road)

I had a room with an amazing view of the town and mountains. The staff were very friendly and easy to communicate with. The bathroom was fairly large compared to other European hotels I've stayed at

The location is about a five minute walk from the train and bus station so it is very convenient. I would stay here again in a heartbeat

I traveled a long way to get here and was exhausted from 10 hours of traveling when I arrived at 11:30am and just wanted to go to sleep for a few hours but they were strict on their 3pm check in policy and would not let me check in early

Very nice touch with the honor bar, help yourself to beer or soda and write your name on a ticket. Rooms were spacious and very clean. We could have sat and drank coffee on our balcony all day, it was beautiful

The bed was somehow not comfortable for us. It gets over soon and was never refilled. The warm food was always so little. Don't think there's a vegan option at all, probably need to preorder

I really enjoyed my 4D/3N stay (in June 2021) at this lovely hotel. I arrived a day earlier than planned but was promptly accommodated. It's conveniently located near the train station, as well as the center of town

Have stayed here for 2 to 3 weeks since 2015, except last year, and would not stay anywhere else. Wolfgang, Petra and Julia are the most wonderful hosts. I suggest the Watzmann Suite on the top floor

The only place I ever want to stay when visiting Berchtesgaden. Loved the 24 hour tea and coffee bar, tons of selection for tea. Breakfast buffet was one of the best we've ever had

The views are amazing and it is such a wonderful balcony to sit out and drink a weiß bier and watch the world go by. The breakfast is fabulous and only seems to get better

Very nice hotel overlooking the city, complete with sauna, bicycle storage room, spacious rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful, so don't hesitate to ask for recommendations.

The entire experience at Hotel Krone was awesome! We were greeted by a friendly face and very warmly. The hotel is situated above the historic town and the views from our balcony were absolutely incredible

Definitely make it a point to enjoy breakfast on their terrace because the gardens in the foreground of massive mountains are breathtaking

We found Hotel Krone to be a great choice for our stay in Berchtesgaden and would absolutely stay here again. Rooms were spacious with plenty of room for two of us with several suitcases

The rooms are small , but quaint, with beautiful woodwork in the traditional Bavarian style. The bathroom very modern and clean

The Hotel is a bit old, but the room was very comfortable and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is probably the best aspect. It's a 5 minutes drive to the Königssee parking lot

We were pleased to get a family room here as a walk-in. The family room was very spacious and had one large bed and two twin beds. The breakfast is included in the price

It was as close to an "American breakfast" that we've seen in a German hotel. It was walking distance to quite a few things including the train station

There are many restaurants and supermarkets around. The breakfast is also excellent

We got a family room for our family of four and it's great (nearly a suite for a very good value). Very convenient to town and a decent breakfast

The pool is a bit small and can get loud but was appreciated since it was very hot while we were here

There was free parking at the back. The beds were okay, so was the bath room. We found the room was to hot during the night. We made use of the pool which was good, however if you use one their towels it costs you €5

Got a great spacious room with super comfortable beds, a balcony with nice view to the Alps. Also included was a complementary breakfast. There is also plenty of parking available for free of charge

We had a wonderful 4 night stay at Alpenhotel Fischer. The staff were lovely, speaking great English but being patient in letting me try speaking German too. Hotel facilities were great with breakfast being a highlight

Lots of choice and all very fresh. The room (117) was spacious and clean. The location is on the edge of Berchtesgaden and right next to a supermarket which was very handy

This is not a criticism as it was nice to be out of the centre when we were ready to retire for the night, but merely something I wanted to point out for future guests

Though in the high season these could be quite crowded, tips from the hotel staff helped us to avoid the crowds and make the most of our limited time

With that said, all I’d point out is that to get to Berchtesgaden centre, it’s around a 25 minute walk, with some uphill in either direction

Our employees have strict instructions to wear a mask around the mouth and nose. We constantly remind them of this and in intense one-on-one conversations, pointed out the importance of the mask for some employees

We spent a wonderful couple of days at the hotel. Even in today's difficult times, the management and staff of the hotel tried to fulfill all wishes. Respect! An oasis of well-being for body and soul

Seemed a lot of people forgot to return the card back, I was reminded a few times to return them back. Would suggest that you collect deposit for the cards

Terrific facilities(best sauna I have been in). Interior decorating was very well done and pleasant. The staff was very accommodating. Evening was expertly prepared and the presentation rivaled a 5 Star Hotel

The view is absolutely breathtaking! Breakfast was buffet style with many options. Our room was just what I pictured a room wood be like in such a scenic alpine setting, with large windows, balconies and comfy beds.

Once up the hill on the right drive round a sharp bend on the left and past the hospital on the right. Entrance is on a sharp left and there is parking both front and right

The quintessential Bavarian Gasthaus!! Although a bit antiquated the rooms were clean and spacious. We never had a chance to use the pool since we only spent two nights. It had ample parking and fairly easy to drive to

Breakfast is excellent and for those interested in hiking the walk into town is beautiful. Rooms are lovely too but if you have difficulty using the stairs take the lift

When you have your room key, you can use the entrance by the car park to access the building. You cannot book in if you arrive late because staff will not be there

If you are going to be late, please let them know in advance as you will not find anyone there to assist you. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is lovely

If you have a large car, please don't use the last parking space before the back entrance else others will struggle to get their cars in and out

The hotel is very clean, the host speaks excellent English, is not more than a five minute walk to the train station or a fifteen minute walk to downtown if you take the stairs to town behind the train station

My only complaint; the shower head on my shower kept sliding down the rod because the tension mechanism was probably abused by previous guests. 4/5 would definitely stay again
