This hotel has everything you could ever want if Berchtesgaden. Many of the staff speak English, and most are very helpful. The rooms are made on a punctual manner and the meals are excellent. All of the amentities provided (pool, fitness, spa, etc) are well maintained, and they have something for everyone.

We were pleased to get a family room here as a walk-in. The family room was very spacious and had one large bed and two twin beds. The breakfast is included in the price. It was as close to an "American breakfast" that we've seen in a German hotel. It was walking distance to quite a few things including the train station.

I spent a week at the Alpenhotel Seimler. It is located a little outside of Berchtesgaden, but since you get half board and can easily walk to the mine and town center, it is fine. The breakfast is very rich, with a variety of fruits and juices, which is delicious. The room was clean, not big but adequate. There is a small river in front of the hotel and the scenery is beautiful. But it should be noted that it takes ten minutes to get to the center of HBF town by bus.
