Stayed in December for Christmas markets. Great location. About 15-20 minute walk from the train station. Rooms are fine and modern. Bed was a little hard, but that's just my preference. Lovely bar area and enjoyed the continental breakfast. I would recommend staying here

I had a great stay at Motel One Köln-Neumarkt. The hotel is in a fantastic location, conveniently close to the city center and right near public transport, making it easy to explore the area. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made my stay pleasant and relaxing.

Rooms are like little boxes for little people. No fridge, no pantry cupboard for our clothes. Didn't buy any breakfast due to other reviews being bad about breakfast. Thank God I didn't buy any. Breakfast was much better at the cafe, Riese. The room is very stuffy and can't breathe in it. I don't recommend for travellers specially for Australians, to stay here. The lobby also smells like cigarettes. You can't breathe in the lobby area when people are smoking right out the front of the entrance. They don't have rules in place about Cigarettes. Just remember who pays your wages.

This place is ok and price for the room especially with the location in connection to Christmas markets was excellent.
The breakfast situation is pretty terrible. They have one little bar of food and many many people coming down at the same time. We decided on the second day to go out and find breakfast. The room was small but ok for 2 nights. Not much of a view but why not put netting over the window so you can open the curtain without people seeing inside the room. This is a Motel one thing as it was the same in London! Overall nice hotel and lovely staff they just need another breakfast option.

We loved our stay in Motel One! The rooms were spacious, clean and modern. The location is great - all the main sightseeings are in walkable distance. The breakfast is really good too with lots of options. The staff was friendly and helpful- special thanks to Rita from the breakfast team, she was so sweet, she brought me the breakfast roll I asked for straight to the table when they were freshly baked, absolute 5* service!!!!

Hotel was lovely. So modern, very warm and inviting. In a great location near to main shopping area and transport links. Cathedral was 10 minute walk. Room was not huge but all we needed. Would have been nice for some coffee/tea making facilities or water in the room. Staff were really helpful and polite. Was able to leave my bags with staff prior to check in so I could get out and explore as soon as I arrived.

The hotel was well located and easy to find. It was clean and the beds are very comfortable. The staff was very kind and the check out process was pleasantly efficient. One could get a coffee or tea for free from the breakfast area even if not having breakfast, that is a nice touch.
