Nice clean hotel. Service d3sk was very helpful, and a high end complimentary coffee machine in lobby. Right across the street from Cologne Cathedral, and very short walk to lots of restaurants and shops. Large construction project right next door with 7am start time. Lots of noise from construction site.

No A/C in the room, no mini bar, construction happening in front of the hotel starting 7.00am without prior notice.

The hotel is centrally located within walking distance to the Cathedral and other attractions such as Hohenzollern Bridge, Museum Ludwig, etc.
I arrived early, and upon arrival, there were two hotel staff sitted at the front desk. I approached one of them and mentioned I had a reservation. However, instead of helping me, she basically put me off in a very cold way, and I basically left the counter and sat down. Within that time, another customer came in and was promptly taken care of. I was treated in a very bad, unwelcoming manner, as if they did not want me to be there. The customer service lady proceeded to the shop in an attempt to avoid helping me and wasted another 10 minutes. I was watching her the whole time, and she knew exactly what she was doing!
Having traveled extensively in Europe, I will say that this kind of experience was baffling, to say the least. That encountered ruined my stay completely. I will never stay here again and do not recommend this establishment, especially to a person of color.
The rooms do not have air conditioning, and TVs are tiny. This does not make any sense given the price tag for the room.

To be honest, probably one of the best experiences I had at one of my Business Trips. Not sure why I deserved such a big room with that kind of view. It was a bit loud, but the view made it worth it.
Friendly Service at the check in and out. The Breakfast Service was also amazing.
Great location, easy check in and out, dead Center location right next to the dom.
I would love to stay in that room again and experience the Früh Hotel again!

The room for 3 people was brightand spotlessly clean. Building was going on outside but it didn't bother us. We were very happy with the breakfast and the free at any time coffee or tea was a big bonus. My grandson loved the hot chocolate! Also great to get free drinking water in the room every day. I also asked for a kettle which was good
However what impressed me most was the staff, namely Eric Rau, Bettina Movak and Annika? And especially Eric. They went well beyond the call of duty. My son's father in law died and he and my grandson had to go home to Ireland early. These 3 members of staff helped me cancel othrr hotels, book train tickets etc and get me a single room as I no longer wanted to go to Dusseldorf alone. They were absolutely great! Thank you so much!

Fab hotel. Friendly staff. My two girls and I were I a wheelchair accessible room that was brilliant very big. Would recommend anytime. Very close to everything.

The hotel is located close to the Dom. Also within walking distance to bars and restaurants. We have neen there for the christmas market which was perfectly located for this too.

The rooms aren't very good. The beds are too hard and thin, the pillows are pretty much air in a pillow case, the shower is too small, and there is a 5ft tall beer advertisement attached to the coat rack. The breakfast is great though, and if your here for the Christmas market it's 50 ft away from the entrance. If you're not here for that, get a different place.

I should have read the reviews a little closer. This hotel is owned by Früh, one of Cologne's most famous beer brands. The single room was decorated with a giant pint of Kölsch, on a wooden board. It was not classy. The entire place gives off a student dork vibe and is not inexpensive. Great breakfast though.

We stayed here in november/december 2023 during the christmas market.
Location is the best as you can go to all areas by walk.
Our room was big and spacious and very comfortable. The only downside was that the bath was to high. It was a bit difficult going in and out.
Breakfast was also good with different varietys but the area where the food is located is a bit small but thete were a bigger room for seating.
Staff were friendly and helped us with all we needed they also gave us packed breakfast as one day we had an early train to catch and we were missing breakfast.
I reccomened 100%
