It’s my second Tante Alma stay and first in this location. I appreciate the elaborate concept and its consistency across all their houses. It might not be everybody’s cup of tea but it works for me.
Comfy mattress, pillow could be better (and smaller), but hey - for this price, all good! Also a fridge in the room is a plus, but sadly a kettle was missing.
Location couldn’t be more perfect, very central, across the street to Belgian quarter. If you don’t know Cologne, trust me - this is a place to be!
Incredible advantage is spacious lounge/common rooms (playrooms, they are called) that served me perfectly for work meetings.
The hotel itself is a bit weary. It doesn’t bother me too much but you can see that the bathroom hasn’t been renovated for a while (tap was spraying everywhere and toilet only had one type of flush), also some common areas are crying for a refresh.

Loved it, the hotel is in a great location, the room was clean and the bathroom well equipped with both a shower and bath. There was a bank, kiosks and plenty of bars and cafes nearby. Would definitely return to this very quirky and homely hotel.

We paid over 500 euros. The room is ok..expensive and the night of January 26, 2024 The phone at reception kept ringing all night…very annoying. I don't know how the other rooms sleep!! The hotel is next to the road. There was traffic and noise of people, pubs and bars playing music all night. I understand that's normal. But the sound of the phone ringing throughout the hotel all night displeased me.

Lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, great location.
Had a great weekend stay at this well located small hotel. Staff were helpful and we were given great advice, directions and local knowledge at reception on how to get the most out of our short stay in the city. Lots of interesting places to eat nearby, and just a 20 minute stroll through the town centre to the Cathedral. The hotel has a deliberate old fashioned decorative style when it came to furniture and ornaments in the communal areas that we found charming, but the room itself was very modern, warm, and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable bed (perhaps pillows could have been firmer for us?). After a busy day of site seeing a great place to come back to relax + re- charge. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Very quiet room at the back of the hotel. Service very good, neighbourhood is super.
However, the room itself was not as expected from the photographs on the website. Dark, not entirely clean and with outdated (not historic) furniture. There was not many 'Alma' retro stuff added.

The room was fine, it’s clean and we had a bathtub which was nice. Unfortunately there were a couple of things we didn’t like. The breakfast serves only sweet things. I would definitely skip on it. There is no cheese or ham or anything like that. The reason? They said it was because of Corona. Well we have been to other hotels during Corona and this was never any issue before. Also I had a blister, there were no band aids. Is this not something every hotel should have as in a first aid kit? They kindly referred me to a pharmacy instead. The location is good and it has an old grandma style room for the breakfast buffet, so that is funny and original.

The Hotel is small but very familiar. The service is very good and the rooms are comfortable. Breakfast is also very good. Overall it's a good experience, a good place to stay.

Business level hotel but a pleasant surprise. Very good location with in the city center. Also close to multiple subway lines.

The interior is ancient, but has a certain charm. The room, bathroom and Hotel was very clean. The staff very friendly. The Hotel is well located on a ring road, walk a few minutes from 2 U-Bahn stations. 2 metro stations from the Duomo/HBhf way.
