Pretty, old hotel with character located next to the Bodensee. While the rooms are okay, they are out of date. The restaurant is mediocre. And unfortunately, the weirdest part of the hotel is that the sauna is only open between 14.00 and 19.00. While it can be accessed by special request before 14.00 it cannot be used after 19.00. Which makes no sense if you’re staying here for business which many people are. You should really get with the times and update this outdated policy.
The bar has a good selection but the bartender seems to have other duties and is extremely slow to fill any order.

Great old place.. the view over the Bodense Lake is magnificent.. the rooms, though, could use a little upgrade if they wanna be a 5 star ..Gorgeous are around the hotel.

it was a very good hotel full with good amenities. Breakfast was quite good. the location was very very good, right along the lake and it was a 5 minute cycle ride/20 minute walk along the water to the island town of lindau which was full of shops and restaurants. Both the indoor and outdoor pool were very good and the sauna and steam rooms are well equipped with everything one might need.

Lovely place to stay. Great choice of wellness treatments. My husband and I enjoyed that we could access the wellness area using an assigned lift. Hotel Bathrobes and slippers are provided.

We went to rent a boat and had lunch at the hotel Bad Schachen. I ordered a steak, my girlfriend a Caesar salad. Steak was very good, but my girlfriend bit on a metal staple.
We informed the staff about it, and they offered an espresso as a reconciliation but still charged full price for the salad.

Rented A paddle boat for four adults for one hour, friendly attendant prompt service cheap 15€ per hour. Would recommend to others

Beautyful view over the lake of Constance, exceptionell service , friendly waiters and good spirit. Food fine, drinks superb, all in all very recommandable !

Great place at the lake. Old Hotel very expensive for what is offered. Best is the renovated swimmingpool and wellness. A single bedroom is really very very small room 441 for example. Nice Staff.
