I recently stayed at the IntercityHotel Frankfurt Airport for a quick overnight transit, and while the location is certainly convenient for catching an early flight or a late arrival, the overall experience was quite average.
The proximity to the airport is the hotel’s strongest point, making it a practical choice for travelers in transit. The shuttle service was efficient, and the check-in process was straightforward.
The room was basic but functional, providing the essentials for a short stay. However, the decor felt somewhat dated, and the overall atmosphere was more utilitarian than welcoming. It’s a decent spot to rest for the night, but not much more than that.
UPDATE! There's small patches of blood on my sheets that's not mine!
The Hotel was further than advertised, but there's a shuttle bus from exit 6 from the terminal so that's something.
The lack of information is concerning and super stressful.
Although the room itself is pretty nice, and feels cozy enough.
Restaurant food at the restaurant was bland and didn't taste of anything, tho the portion was decent. The waiters never checked up on me either and dragged down an otherwise 3 star.
Breakfast was stale tho okay enough.
Navigating to your room is also a nightmare, its practically a maze with misleading room numbers.
If you want a relatively cheaper room it's good, but mind the 2€ hidden fee.
