Mainz, Mombacher Straße 6 🧭 Map
Good rooms. We had a premium room on 4th floor. Pretty quiet, at this time at least.
Rooms were clean and good. Bed was ok. Free wifi had enough bandwidth for watching some streams.
There was a small kitchen with microwave and a capsule coffee maker.
A small fridge for a few 1.5 liter bottles and stuff.
A safe big enough for a 14" notebook.
Hotel is clean and service is ok. Free street parking is avaialble. However, there is no fridge or coffee machine or kettle in the room. One the day of check out at about 10am, housekeeping open the room door without knocking :(
Friendly staff, 10 min's walk to the central Train station, nice room!
Lovely hotel with very welcoming people and nice breakfast. Only downside was the parking for me. Not enough spaces nearby (we got lucky). Near a trainstation (no noise) just for those wanting something close by. We were there during a wine festival so we had a nice night out. It’s a decent walk to the center. Nice hotel bar and rooms were also great. We stayed one night. Customer service on the phone...
Overall a nice stay, but a few things to note for first-timers! It was a bit confusing to find at first—it’s labeled as the niu on the outside, not Holiday Inn, so we didn’t realize we were at the right place right away. We arrived late, and parking was hard to come by, so plan to arrive earlier if you can.
The room didn’t have a kitchenette, which we expected, and there wasn’t really anywhere to...
Nice good place for short stay. We were a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids). Had to take two rooms adjascent to each other. Neat rooms. Enough space (not like those botique hotels) and with lift access. Towels are provided. Rooms cleaned everyday. Bring your soap, tooth brush, paste etc.
Good location too. You can get uber or taxi by apps below the hotel and walk to some supermarkets and ccentral...

I will always come back to this hotel. It has garage and you are within walking distance to the downtown area. The pillows are fluffy and bed are comfortable. They have a restaurant and bar. The staff knows English among other languages. Great place!
I stayed at the Hilton Mainz for a business trip and overall had a good experience, though there were a few issues that I hope the hotel addresses.
The location is fantastic. Right on the river with lovely views and an easy walk to the city centre. The meeting rooms were excellent and the breakfast was surprisingly good. The buffet served during our conference for lunch and dinner was also exceptional...
Love coming here. Breakfast is amazing, including fresh squeezed orange juice. Staff is very friendly, rooms are clean, beds super comfortable. Bathrooms are small but very well utilized with a great walk in shower (Rhine Wing).
Overall, my stay at the hotel was good. The room was clean, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need. The only downside was that the room was relatively cold, and the air conditioning/heating system did not work properly. Other than that, everything was fine.
This is a premium hotel in a great location.
Pros:
- rooms are very spacious with lots of desk and counter space
- staff were friendly
- ample and convenient parking
- good water pressure
- air conditioning that works
- they actually have face cloths - wow! not common in Europe
Cons:

excellent hotel at a perfect location. The view on rhine river is excellent and the historic city center and Roman remains are within walking distance. The staff are friendly but some appear a bit overworked on a slightly busy day. The communication about challenges with room availability are really poor. Thus the manager may need to take the time to train some of the staff in basics required at a...
We loved everything about this hotel. The location and view couldn’t have been better. The bed was comfortable. The shower head is on the ceiling which my husband loved. Fortunately, they gave us a shower cap so it worked for me too.
This hotel's location is excellent for people visiting Mainz. The restaurant was...okay. Our room was clean.
Great location, nice room, nice wellness area, very friendly staff
Extremely friendly staff and very good breakfast. Overall we felt very comfortable.
Lovely hotel. Wonderful staff; you can taste in every dish the love that the chef and bartenders have for their jobs. Kind, friendly (by a southern American standard), and a refreshing focus on quality over quantity. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt so comfortable in any hotel space. Also, I have to mention the spa. I have a lot of influence in my life from American Southern Baptists, and she...

The room is big, and the bed is not a mini bed, which is very good in European business hotels. The hotel breakfast is still as simple and monotonous as before.
The environment of the nearby Wiesbaden Health Park is very good!
Absolutely amazing stay at the Mercure Wiesbaden. The check-in and check-out was very smooth, and the receptionists were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel was clean and the room was very comfortable and spacious. We enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna after a long day of sightseeing in the city and it was open till late in the evening. No complaints at all. Top location in downtown WI.
Perfect location, with very close to town center.
Floor will not be cleaned during regular room cleaning.
Great breakfast, close to the business district
The room was clean and tidy, and was cleaned every other day. However, the cleaning staff sometimes only gave one bath towel, and the water in the refrigerator was not kept. In total, I stayed for 12 days and only refilled the water once. The breakfast variety was average and did not change every day. The overall feeling was average. Nice hotel with good design and comfort. I meanwhile corrected the review, as a second stay was very nice and smooth.
Previous review was mainly on slow internet: 2 stars mainly due to miserable internet connection: managed by the pseudo state run German Telekom, so it's like what you can expect of a country like Germany. Frequent connection issues and super slow speed (130kb..). Initially, it took...
It's a nice hotel with plenty of amenities, except they don't work or aren't open. So l ask the girl at the desk, on the phone two days ago; is the pool, sauna, and spa open?....the answer was like oh, duh yes! Ok, so I asked again.the day before I check in. Is it open; oh yes for sure. I ask again while.checking-in to get certain clarification on what is open and when, oh, yes, its open from such...
Great location near town but also with lots of green space around. The rooftop spa was excellent.
Considerably modernised since my last visit and still excellent. Check out the new wine bar and the rooftop spa. Idyllic location and nice walks in and around the Park. I had a park view suite and balcony, perfect for relaxing in the afternoon sun. Highly recommended.
Generally speaking a very nice hotel with outstanding facilities.
The gym could be better equipped, however that is just my opinion since I like a good workout.
Quality of the breakfast is very good.
Unfortunately there are problems with the WiFi in the rooms which they are not able to fix even not by using a WiFi repeater.
There is also no offer for a compensation.
I had to book several mobile data...
Great hotel located in picturesque settings and in modern interior design. Also great bar and restaurants.

Great view of Kurhaus, wonderful breakfast in Orangerie.
Gorgeous ambiance in the lobby, with beautiful flower bouquets everywhere! Right next to the park, where the kids can run around.
Lovely hotel with memorable staff and facilities. We enjoyed the thermal bath and piano playing at the bar. Front desk team members and concierge were outstanding.

Great hotel, great staff, nice breakfast, highly recommended
The location is great, right next to the station, and it's not too noisy either.
The hotel is just outside of train station, very convenient for taking bus to the city center, taking train to other places for a day trip and direct train to airport. The room is clean and comfortable. A little small, bit enough for two.
This is the worst hotel service I've ever had. I stayed for 6 consecutive days, but the room was only cleaned once. There were no clean towels, and I had to ask for them every time.
Perfect stay close to main station and shopping. Very new rooms, perfect for a stay in Wiesbaden
The stay experience was great! The hotel is elegantly decorated, the room facilities are complete and clean. The transportation and geographical location are convenient, the staff service is considerate and thoughtful, and the breakfast is rich and delicious. I will choose here next time!

I went on a family trip with my kids. For a European budget, I stayed in a clean, reasonably-priced room in a great location. It was about an 8-minute walk from downtown Wiesbaden, and the train station was right next door. The staff were friendly, and while the area is touristy, it was quiet and comfortable.
On a downside, although we booked for four people, one of us had to sleep on the sofa. We...
The room is old, the service is OK, and the voltage is poor
This hotel is very good, just a 5-minute walk from the train station, and has an elegant environment.
During the Frankfurt exhibition, hotels in the city center were hard to come by, so we chose Wiesbaden. It was also very convenient to take the train to the city center every day. The hotel was affordable and we were very satisfied with our stay. The breakfast was also very rich!
Hotel a bit tired, o attended a corporate event - buffet service, food just ok, dinner or the 2 lunches. 3 instructions sent regarding a mobility friendly room and put on 6th floor, considered I could use the lifts in an emergency (fires?)! Did move and upgrade me which was nice, but there was missed optys along the way throughout.

The hotel is conveniently located, the rooms are clean and tidy, and the front desk staff are very friendly. It was a very satisfying stay.
The Day Hotel offers excellent value for money. Despite its location near the train station and main road, the rooms are very quiet. It's about a 5-minute walk from the platform and a 15-minute walk from the city center.
The hotel is nearby central station and bus stops.going to sightseeing places and river sightseeing port are very convenient . The hotel offers bus tickets.the breakfast is good.
Very nice and spacious room! The hotel is 5 minutes from the train station, and it's only 10 minutes to the beautiful old town. Breakfast offers a wide selection, so everyone will find something to their liking.
Convenient transportation, clean and sanitary. The European breakfast is healthy, delicious and rich, and the quality is much better than most of the Western breakfasts in five-star hotels in China.
It was right next to Mainz Central Station, so it was easy to find even though I arrived at night. The breakfast was delicious, and it was in a great location for walking around. The interior of the hotel was also clean.

When I arrived at the Hotel Schwarzer Bock, founded in 1486 and now part of Radisson Blu, I immediately felt as if I had stepped into another time. I stayed here with my wife for 4 nights on a conference. While I did not choose this hotel ahead, I was very pleased with the organizers’ recommendation.
The hotel is located 5 minutes on foot from the main train station (fully no-step access, for your wheelchair or wheely-bags) and about 15 minutes from the historical center (Cathedral) at a brisk walk - or there are buses.
The hotel is modern,...
The facilities are complete, the hygiene is very good, and the location is quiet. For Germany, the breakfast is quite substantial.
Great hotel and friendly staff.
Underground parking available and parking outside for taller vehicles.
The only issue was the condition of the bathroom glasses which had see better days (please see the photos of the cracks in the blue glasses).

It's a quite an old hotel, but the rooms and facilities are properly maintained. The main downside is that the rooms have no option to open the windows or to bring fresh air from outside, which in this pandemic situation seems unacceptable from my side, but at the reception they inform us that they can cancel the reservation.
A nice hotel that is quite adequate. The staff were accommodating, nice and happy to help. The rooms are a bit dated but the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was private. Conveniently located to the base housing our friends were located in and not far from the charming downtown area of Wiesbaden.
It is not the most modern hotel but it is clean and the staff are friendly. The room was fine but the bed was a bit hard for me but I guess some people like a firm mattress. Only stayed one night but everything was fine. Breakfast was nice, lots of choice and good quality. All round if you don't worry about super modern and just want a functional hotel with a good breakfast then this is fine

I’m very satisfied. Clean and nice. Roomy. And I got it for a good price, because I was booking with trip. So all good! Location: very close to decathlon, shopping area, there’s mcdonald across from the hotel. But the hotel itself is surrounded by trees and there’s a green area. Very close to a bus station, from where you can get to the city’s old town.
The room is relatively new and cost-effective, but also small. After checking in, we found out that many rooms on the first floor were being renovated, so we had to go through the renovated rooms to get to our room. There was no kettle.
Other than the weak water pressure and the fact that it's a bit far from downtown, everything else was great. The staff were always willing to help, and everything was great. It was quiet and nice.
Top hotel in a quiet location
Very comfortable bed and everything you need

The hotel is about to close, weather for renovation or for good is not clear, but this is something they forgot to advertise online. Nevertheless, hotel was decent, but more of an Ibis level than a Novotel, although priced as a Novotel.
Staff was quite difficult and seemed clueless about how to manage simple tasks such as charging us for some extras from a fridge in the lobby.
I am not sure what...
This is an old hotel. The rooms are old and very dusty. Bring a UV torch, the level of invisible stains on the bedroom carpet will make you feel sick. The bathroom is very basic, shower over the bath. There is no evening restaurant service. Staff are pleasant and helpful, and the location is very good, 10mins walk to central Mainz.
I recently wrote that the pool was only open between 7:00 PM & 9:00 PM. This is incorrect (there was an error on their bulletin board). The pool is open starting at 7:00 AM.
