Flash forward to arrival. On the website it list hairstyle prices, I was expecting to pay somewhere between 150/200 American for what I wanted. When I arrived again, chaos ensued…it seemed like no one had read the emails they had no idea what I was talking about etc. he front desk gal and I went back and forth with the spa for like a day trying to decide if they would even do my hair…?? Eventually we all agreed on a two French braid hairstyle (absolutely NOT what I had originally asked for, and we all agreed upon $200 American.
When I checked out…..guess what they charged me Upwards of $400 American for a SINGLE French braid style with sweeping bangs which I specifically DIDNT WANT cause it’s HUMID AF and looked like shit in 30mins.
Long story, if I disputed the charge at the front desk they informed me they would not pay the woman who had done my hair.
Shady…..and now they won’t respond to my emails.
Insanely overpriced and tasteless to put it simply. It's hard to really enjoy your stay somewhere when the time food comes up, you're desperate to find anywhere else to eat because a ribeye is 50 dollars and tastes microwaved or a 40 dollar "lamb shank" is really burnt lamb chops.
It's very disappointing that they charge obscene prices for such terrible food to the point I had to write this review.
Great location, beautiful and secure grounds with pools, great sand beach and activities to keep everone happy.
The beach at the hotel is stunning.
reception and the security guard really helped us one night when motorbike taxi guys tried to rips us off by charging over 3 times the price of a ride.
My stay included breakfast, which I must say was very tasty. The hotel has a nice big pool with outside bar and executive beach.
You will only be a 15 minute drive to center of it all Las Terrenas. If you are planning to stay here, i highly recommend this establishment.
