This was a lovely place - it felt boutique and the staff were very good, kind, attentive and helpful. Being completely comprehensive, the food and the pool were not 5 stars but the beach and the service/other food options made up for it. Would def recommend and was an oasis we’d return to.

Let me say this first, this is a review of the SPA. The property was amazing and the staff were a delight. The spa manager, not so much. A month before this wedding I went to I booked a hair styling appointment, sent a video demonstration of what I wanted done and asked if it was ok. I had to continuously pester them to get replies, they then told me to bring extensions to add volume to the style, and then was told later by someone else NOT to bring them….let me tell you it was chaos….and I’m not sure why.
Flash forward to arrival. On the website it list hairstyle prices, I was expecting to pay somewhere between 150/200 American for what I wanted. When I arrived again, chaos ensued…it seemed like no one had read the emails they had no idea what I was talking about etc. he front desk gal and I went back and forth with the spa for like a day trying to decide if they would even do my hair…?? Eventually we all agreed on a two French braid hairstyle (absolutely NOT what I had originally asked for, and we all agreed upon $200 American.
When I checked out…..guess what they charged me Upwards of $400 American for a SINGLE French braid style with sweeping bangs which I specifically DIDNT WANT cause it’s HUMID AF and looked like shit in 30mins.
Long story, if I disputed the charge at the front desk they informed me they would not pay the woman who had done my hair.
Shady…..and now they won’t respond to my emails.

The hotel in general is very picturesque and went recently for a wedding. The reason I am giving such a low score comes down to the food- the value is atrocious.
Insanely overpriced and tasteless to put it simply. It's hard to really enjoy your stay somewhere when the time food comes up, you're desperate to find anywhere else to eat because a ribeye is 50 dollars and tastes microwaved or a 40 dollar "lamb shank" is really burnt lamb chops.
It's very disappointing that they charge obscene prices for such terrible food to the point I had to write this review.

We had a wonderful time there as a family. The staff were all great and willing to help us with anything that was needed.
Great location, beautiful and secure grounds with pools, great sand beach and activities to keep everone happy.

The food at breakfast is limited and not tasty. Eating at the hotel restaurant is very expensive, $80 for a pasta sandwich with one beer and soda. The hotel is very boring.

amazing location, looks beautiful, the suite was spacious. Loved it
reception and the security guard really helped us one night when motorbike taxi guys tried to rips us off by charging over 3 times the price of a ride.

It was truly a beach paradise, the rooms are huge with 2 bathrooms, 2 televisions and large balconies with lounge chairs overseeing the beautiful pools, the food is Michelin-quality all the time and they even have daily specials of fresh catch of the day and barbecue, the staff is beyond helpful and extremely friendly, particularly Felix, Alexander and Augusto, who can't do enough for you. They have fun excursions available for all varieties of guest, as well as yoga and tennis on site. If you're looking to recharge, get away from the noise, and immerse yourself in nature, absolutely come here.

Beautiful yet overpriced hotel. If you come for the beach - you better off staying at Coson. If you come for the comfort and fancy then you will miss expected level of privacy. Only very few rooms will see ocean from the balcony yet all the neighbors will be seeing you. Look great on paper but it's the little details like low water pressure on shower, underpowered AC, NYC fancy restaurant prices for dinner quality dishes, constantly buzzing balcony Jacuzzis, incredibly slow and constantly dropping wifi. I might be spoiled but there are better and more sophisticated options to choose from at mutch better price/ value point.

I give this Hotel 5 stars!!! The rooms are clean and the staff is friendly and attentive!
My stay included breakfast, which I must say was very tasty. The hotel has a nice big pool with outside bar and executive beach.
You will only be a 15 minute drive to center of it all Las Terrenas. If you are planning to stay here, i highly recommend this establishment.

Just arrived and already loving this place. Cleanliness 10/10. Service, the best ot the best. Food, delicious. The beach, simply amazing. Jacuzzi in the room, perfect.
