Reviews
Unfortunately we got very sick for 3 days, the medical staff were wonderful and the medical attention was outstanding.
The room was comfortable. The food was ok too. It was a bitter sweat experience but overall happy we got to visit such beautiful place.
Still no refund a week later and when we spoke to the hotel they didn’t take our complaints seriously about the food poisoning.
Absolute worst vacation.
Have had to open an investigation with the police department in Canada for fraud on my credit card.
I chose the option to book at the hotel, yet the hotel charged my card early and then denied charging it. Once we arrived at the hotel they argued they just preauthorized a charge and I would need to pay at the hotel again to get our room. When I argued with them, showing proof of a charge on my card they told me they marked the payment as fraud and it would be returned. Meanwhile we were expected to re pay for the trip after traveling from Canada with no proof we would get the original charge back. Have been arguing with our bank and the resort all week. Not to mention wasted money having our cell data on to communicate.
After we repaid for the room (that they still have yet to give the money back for) I had hoped the experience would get better but alas not.
Both my husband and I got food poisoning on two separate occasions, and our friends who were staying in another room also got food poisoning. All from different areas of the resturant and different days.
On what was supposed to be a lovely 5 year anniversary vacation with our friends has been spoiled and cost us well over 2k that I DOUBT I'll recieve back from the hotel.
Currently sitting in our hotel room typing this while my husband has been sick all day, starting at 5 am this morning. I even called the medical emergency number in the middle of the night to ask for some assistance with water and ice and was told to call room service and then hung up on.
Quite disappointed and will make sure everyone I know avoids, avoids AVOIDS any Wynham property, in short due to their lack of customer service!
I'm still here and just getting over two days of food poisoning. I've never been this sick at a resort before! The food is awful. Worst resort food I've ever had, and I'm not fussy.
Nobody seats you at the buffet and you have to walk around looking for a clean table which is hard to come by.
Nobody serves you water and they never come back with your drink order. All the workers look miserable here. The only people you get a smile out of are the guys trying to sell you the timeshare.
Rooms are damp and musty, the sheets and pillows feel wet and they smell. First resort I've stayed in where you don't get any little toiletries in the bathroom. Not even conditioner in the shower.
The bathroom towels and pool towels are so old!!! They are rough on your skin. My balcony door did not lock and had to get someone to come fix it. As a solo traveler staying on a ground floor this was disappointing.
Everybody smokes here which is awful for a non-smoker. No designated area for smokers. The resort is just full of old retired people happy to drink and smoke all day. The balcony chairs and louger are filty dirty and full of mould. The cushions can not be sat on. And the private pool is not cleaned and is freezing cold.
Beach is beautiful though! Lovely sunsets and long walks. Pool area needs more umbrellas.
And if you are a light sleeper like me, then prepare yourself for sleepless nights with the noise from whatever insect chirps outside your door from sundown to sun up. There is no sleep to be had here.
Oh and coffee maker in room is not clean, tv doesn't work and old AC is so loud.
Food: There are very very very few food options to pick from in the buffet. The breakfast had very little to pick from and most of it cold, one day we had to wait 20-30 mins for pancakes and even more for them to bring Nutella. Because of this low quality food we basically had lunch and dinner out everyday. The drinks were not made fresh like in all other bars of the area given the tasty fruit the country has, but they were very bad pre made mixtures of what tasted like artificial fruit.
Higiene: The plastic cups used to make the drinks at the beach were cleaned very poorly and fast dipping them in a pool of water and soap of a second (saw it with my own eyes). The towels of both the pool and the rooms were extremely old and very low quality (seemed like dirty motel towels) and almost every day we would have to wait for at least 10 minutes for them to bring pool towels because there were never any left.
Room: the cover of all pillows was a lot larger than the actual (very small) pillows, and the pillow would always come out (and given they only clean the covers and not the actually pillows it’s very insanitary). Also the bathroom didn’t include any of the usual body lotions and toothpastes 4 star hotels include, and the hairdryer wasn’t in the room you had to ask reception to bring it to you (in person since they never picked up the phone). The air conditioning in the rooms, although it worked fine, was very old and made a lot of noise during the night.
Great facility. Huge and spacious.
Amazing beach.
Room had private plunge pool. Was fantastic.
Plenty of daily entertainment..every day..
Food was great.
Overall service from management to food server was great!
Rebooked for another two weeks this coming October 2024.
This resort is most Definitely a winner for enjoying all round vacation therapy! 😃😃😃
Unfortunately the food was mediocre. It was tasteless and not much of a variety. I expected more for the price.
I paid extra for a bungalow so that I can have a bigger private pool for my husband and I. Unfortunately we were unable to use the pool because it was dirty and had little crabs in it. Perhaps the worse part of my stay were the worms in my room. I am assuming they came from the outside which was not well kept and smelled really bad. There were sometimes 6 to 7 worms at a time crawling in the room. It was absolutely disgusting.
Suggestions: provide information on arrival about available tours. We wanted to go to Los Haitises but didn't knew that tour was on specific days
[ Meaning of 24-hour in English
open or available all day and all night without closing or stopping:]
I guess 24hrs service means something else at this resort.
