Where to stay in Las Terrenas

The property was ok. The food was ok. There were termites in our room and on the bed due to the cheap wood used on the furniture. The staff took care of it right away but I don’t plan on staying here during our next visit to Las Terrenas. The pool was the best part.

Staff was amazing. A few glitches of inconvenience with the facility like water was out for half a day. Other than that, please place to just relax

The place is great, the staff are very attentive, helpful, and full of energy. The food is very good.

We had an awesome time at this resort. We loved the beach, the layout of the hotel and the friendly staff. My favorite part was that there were a lot of cats in the grounds.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, but somewhat outdated. I loved the beautiful beach and huge pool. I am going to miss that beach with crystal clear turquoise water. They have a vast variety of food options in the buffet. Their food is also top quality. This resort has so many activities that it’s impossible to get bored.

The beach was beautiful and clean and the service was wonderful. Everyone was attentive and friendly very caring staff. Unfortunately we got very sick for 3 days, the medical staff were wonderful and the medical attention was outstanding. The room was comfortable. The food was ok too. It was a bitter sweat experience but overall happy we got to visit such beautiful place.

Our first visit was a 2 week stay. Wish we could have stayed a month or more. Great facility. Huge and spacious. Amazing beach. Room had private plunge pool. Was fantastic. Spectacular sunsets over a sea so calm it could virtually be a mill pond. The tranquillity of the sea is matched by that of the point itself, palm fringed, rarely many people and no traffic noise. An ideal spot from which to contemplate the sunset in all too rare peace and quiet.

It’s beautiful. But is like a hidden beach so it Took me a few minutes to find it. Is gorgeous breath taking. However there’s really nothing around but villas. I recommend, (if you’re a not staying in the area) bring food and water spend the day and watch the sunset.

We had a lovely time at this hotel! And the beach is gorgeous! The bathrooms could use an updating but that was just a small detail! Food was great and location on the beach was exquisite! Everything else was just perfect.

My husband and I spent 6 nights at Takuma Boutique Hotel and we loved our stay. Beautiful construction, decoration, garden and pool, nice and helpful staff and delicious breakfast. Peaceful location a few minutes walk from lovely Playa Punta Popy and the buzzling town of Las Terrenas. Hope to be back!

Bueno, bonito y barato. Is very clean comfortable to spend a night or two, the pool is great and they have hot water. Is very pretty looking. But on the day we stay (Saturday) the music was loud from the other guest, They had music until maybe 12 pm.

Beautiful location ( restaurant ) with great food and👌drinks. VEGAN food available. -homemade vegetables soup. -burritos -the freshest juices in town. You can Chill out during the day or have some drinks at night.

The staff is amazingly friendly. The rooms are great. No AC but ceiling fans we're fine. Hot water, tv's. etc. It's not a big place. But it has a pool and a bus that takes you into town. The Hotel is a short drive from the beach. The complimentary breakfast is alright. Eggs, toast, cereal and Juice. The food at the restaurant is delicious. I Did not see any cats though.

We stay at costa las ballenas for three-night. The room is nice (mosquitoes friendly 😅). Elena was a super host, always ensuring we needed anything and with multiple recommendations for our next steps at the island.

I couldnt disagree more with her. They were a group of 18 people expecting a all-inclusive experience, when the hotel does not have a lot of common space or extra services (like breakfast or room service)....

The best part about this restaurant/hotel is the location. The rooms are nicely furnished but they had dust in them which caused my stepmother to go to the hospital since she has asma. The hotel is located right on a beautiful beach with lots of seating/sunbathing options. The food and drinks at the restaurant are delicious. The environment is calm, relaxing and their staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are super clean. The front desk staff is not the friendliest though. That is something to improve. The lobby is easy to miss when you walk in as well.

AMAZING PLACE! We stayed at Hotel Punta Popy for our honeymoon and couldn't be more happy about the choice we made. The rooms are exactly as the pictures show: Beautiful, cosy and well-equipped with a lovely decoration. This review is for the restaurant. Many different options to choose from. Seafood, meats, pizza, etc We went there back to back because of how much we liked it the 1st time. Our dishes were octopus, shrimp and pizza. Friendly staff and good music as well. Very affordable and dinner for 5 was about $4,300 pesos. Will definitely be back when come back to Las Terrenas.

Great location for a nice getaway! Bed is perfect to sleep, room is spacious. Shower can be improved, it’s warm without enough pressure. Breakfast is simple but good, taste of scrambled eggs are perfect! Service of the staff is good, maybe a bit shy in the restaurant. You can walk along the beach to Escondida (find the bush path) and the other way up to Coson. All together I can recommend this place

Rooms, beds are full of fungus, not all toilets or baths are working. Outside is great place, great pool, great colors. Ocean has many rocks. You can see fishermen on the right side
