El Mosquito Boutique Hotel Playa Bonita

As soon as you enter the parking lot, you are greeted with the most dedicated doormen, in the country. Not only do they make sure you are entering and leaving safely, but care about their duties. The moment you walk through the gate, you will be showered with the purest form of relaxation and good vibes. It has it all. From good music, good food, chill crowds, good drinks, and excellent service. They have placed an immense amount of thought in designing this place to make you feel comfortable, minimalistic and almost wishing you can stay there forever. The beanbags, the hammock, sand benches, all ways to make you feel connected to the nature that surrounds you. It is not cheap, but every dollar spent there is a dollar spent for peace of mind. The surf school is absolutely recommended, I am a self-taught youtube enthusiast, but Nelson is always there, giving you an honest recommendation, and looking out for his surfers even when you think you're out there on your own. Can’t say enough good things about this hotel. It’s the most popping place in Las Terrenas. The staff is beyond accommodating, the restaurant food is SCRUMPTIOUS and the surf school rules. Try to get a private or group lesson with Jose. He’s extremely patient and knowledgeable.
I must add, I brought my nine month old baby and I felt really supported here. A pack and play was provided, there were always high chairs available and the restaurant washed our bottles for us (no kitchen in the room so this was a big necessity for us). I thought that was really gracious of them. Anyway, cozy clean rooms with refreshing air conditioning, hot water, clean water dispenser on our floor, comfy lounging in the common areas and a gorgeous beach you can practically reach out and touch from your balcony. This hotel located in the wonderful Playa Bonita area is a fantastic spot to laze the day away. You pull in mid morning. Find an awesome spot to spend the day under the palm trees. From there on , wonderful, authentic drinks and locals beers are readily available all day. High quality food is available anytime after 11:30. Servers are pretty efficient and don’t bug you constantly. Pretty popular spot on the weekends, tons of surfers. Highly recommended

The hotel is very cozy and clean. It also feels very safe. Prices are very decent. The staff is friendly. The beach is right there and a ton of fun. I would definitely recommend. If you are staying for several days, you will get a bit bored as it is just a relaxation kinda place. Would definitely need a car to go downtown and explore other restaurants and activities.

Great beach front views and with direct beach access. Good price with buffet breakfast included. Very dog friendly! Helpful and friendly staff.. I didn't see an outdoor shower to wash off the sand. That would be a great addition.

Great place, it’s literally on the beach, it’s small so it feels familiar and cozy, staff is friendly and helpful. Great selection at the restaurant and good food for a decent price. Will go again. The surf school is IN the hotel. Note:
It’s a 2 stars hotel so a few things show it like the blinds that are not very light proof and the shower not very hot.
