Went for the restaurant for now. If in Samana terrenas, this should be a stop you shouldn't miss. The atmosphere, beach, FOOD and service are spot on.
DJ had the moment going so well, I thought i had arrived in heaven, wanted to burn my passport and stay forever. If your in the area, you have to Go and thank me later. Their doing a fantastic job at this place, I will come back and stay at their hotel, prices are great.

I did not stay at the hotel, I was a patron of their restaurant and it was wonderful, many fans which helped make up for the fact that it is open. The fact that there are no walls at this beachy, boho-vibe eatery makes it so it attracts flies, however the fans do a great job at keeping the flies off you food. The price is a little steep for the serving size, however the food was delicious and the ambience was impecable, they accept small dogs in the outer area and it was super cute to watch puppy sized dogs run around and play while we waited for our food.

Have been staying here for 2 years and it never disappoints. Nice rooms, awesome ambiance, food and right on the beach. Would definately recommend to anyone for vacation, getaway or the just the weekend!!

It was really good, I didn't stay at the hotel, but I stayed all day in the restaurant ant the beach chairs and it was super, the service was excellent the food amazing really good tasting and interesting dinner plates and the restaurant is beautiful and next to the beach and the sunset is simply perfect. Tip: the place is a little bit popular so in high season you'll find dificul to find a place without a reservation. To arrive her I will recommend you arrive early and leave the car in the privete parking lot located at 500m.

I've been coming here for over 5 years. The food is still good, but the service has gone downhill fast. My last three visits were terrible. Most recently, we waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged, another 10-15 to get a server, and still had no drinks after waiting 10+ more minutes — so we left. A previous visit, we waited 25 minutes just for the check. At these prices, I expect much better. Sadly, this was my last visit. If they don’t fix the service, it’s going to hurt their business.

The hotel is located right on a beautiful beach with lots of seating/sunbathing options. The food and drinks at the restaurant are delicious. The environment is calm, relaxing and their staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are super clean. The front desk staff is not the friendliest though. That is something to improve. The lobby is easy to miss when you walk in as well.

While the restaurant vibe and atmosphere are great, the service is terrible. The waitress ended her shift without passing our table service onto the next person on staff. We waited over 2 hours for our order. When we said we wanted to pay our bill and leave (drinks and apps), we were presented with the whole bill for meals we never got served. Truly disappointing.

Beautiful hotel right on the beach, we got upgraded to an ocean view room on the ground level upon arrival which was really nice. The hotel is on an unbeatable location. Getting here from Santo Domingo is about a 2 hour drive with a lot of tolls so keep some cash on you when you start the drive over.
The food menu at the hotel is huge, you'll have plenty of options. Town is around a 10-15 minute drive where you'll find more restaurants. The area is very European/French which was odd since you are in DR.
Great and helpful staff, you definitely need a car to be here as there are no taxis and most of the taxi's are motorcycles. Check out the sister restaurants Mosquito owns, Art, Beach Bar and Porto. Great surf school on property as well if you're interested in lessons.

Our large group came for an afternoon drink and stayed until after sunset for a beautiful dinner! Every single one of us absolutely loved our food! Prices were very reasonable and everything was delicious. The environment and atmosphere were all good vibes and we loved every single thoughtful detail that made our time magical and memorable! We loved the massive waves for the older kids and the walk down to the lagoon where everyone was able to play even our 2 year old! I would highly recommend this place! Both to or to dine / have drinks.

I recently visited Mosquito Restaurant, and while the food was fantastic, the service left much to be desired. I waited almost two hours to receive my order, which was incredibly frustrating. The quality and flavor of the dishes were undoubtedly worth the wait, but the lack of communication about the kitchen’s queue really dampened the experience.
My suggestion to the management would be for the waitstaff to inform customers upfront if there’s going to be a significant delay with their orders. Had I known it would take this long, I could have managed my expectations instead of sitting and waiting without any updates about the status of our food.
Transparency about wait times would go a long way in improving the overall dining experience. Great food is important, but so is respect for your customers’ time. Hopefully, this is something they’ll address, as the food itself has real potential to make this place memorable—for all the right reasons.
