Excellent small luxurious feeling hotel. Customer service from the owners, to the receptionists, to the maintenance staff, all amazing. Free breakfast included and central safe location close to all the fun. Very convenient Atv/quad rental on site. All the small details are appreciated.

I loved my stay and I would come
back again. It’s very beautiful. The front desk staff were very helpful and I felt safe there as a solo female traveler from the U.S. The fan and AC worked great. I also got a great massage. I also loved that it was located in a quiet area.

My wife and I were excited to arrive to Takuma and enjoy a relaxing vacation. We really liked our room and the privacy that it provided. We had minor complaints about the room early on but found them to be unimportant as time went by - we were hardly in the room anyways! The breakfast was excellent and we found ourselves looking forward to it every morning.
We missed our flight and did not arrive on Saturday as scheduled. Luiz reached out on WhatsApp and requested that we pay in advance of our arrival because of this. We promptly paid for the 4 nights that we booked and arrived the following day.
A relaxing vacation became tense and stressful upon checkout as Claude informed us that we stayed one night beyond our reservation. We contested this (again, we arrived late and only stayed for 3 of the 4 days that we paid in advance for). We provided receipts and our reservation confirmation to Claude and thought this would settle the dispute. Claude however continued to contest our claims. I asked Claude to provide the documentation that warranted his accusatory claims and tone. He instructed me to relax, while refusing to provide any documents, and our discussion became an argument at this point. After we left we were sent a shallow apology admitting fault.
I would not stay at Takuma again due to this interaction. There are too many beautiful options, even closer to the beach, in Las Terrenas to justify staying here. Completely unprofessional.

Took my mom here for her birthday & I made a great choice. Excellent boutique hotel, room was very unique especially with the swim up & climb up bed. Staff were all pleasant, personable & we loved the breakfast each morning. Walking distance from restaurants (& bank) as well, if need. Taxis are easily obtainable at front desk (kind of pricey but at least the option is available). It’s definitely an oasis. Would recommend to anyone. Will return!

My husband and I spent 6 nights at Takuma Boutique Hotel and we loved our stay. Beautiful construction, decoration, garden and pool, nice and helpful staff and delicious breakfast. Peaceful location a few minutes walk from lovely Playa Punta Popy and the buzzling town of Las Terrenas. Hope to be back!

A beautiful, quiet, and inviting boutique hotel. The owner is super nice and the service is kind. The only thing, there is no flow at all in the shower when you want hot water.

I’ve stayed in the hotel 10 nights and it was just perfect.
The stuff were very kind, the hotel is very well located, the owners and his family are always there to help and very welcoming, the place itself is just lovely.
I will definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Everything was as described on the website. Enjoyed the breakfast! Was able to rent an ATV through the hotel, very easy

Very nice place. Every room has access to the pool, which is cleaned frequently. Breakfasts are also on very high level. There is safe storage in the room. Lot of restaurants are located nearby. 5-10 min to public beach.
