Hodelpa Caribe Colonial Hotel

I love this place I don’t have anything negative to say! The staff were very kind and attentive. The rooms are beautiful and well kept! This hotel is in the best spot in the zona colonial it’s walking distant to all the best spots!

The staff is very friendly and educated! The property is small but for couples is perfect the hotel comfy and very clean

Location is 10/10. Friendly staff. The only issue I had was the shower was a little finicky.

I had stayed here before the pandemic about 3 times. The property is very clean, it is located in the older "colonial" part of the city. Traffic in this area is a nightmare due to the narrow streets. SAFE area, police presence all over.




The GOOD: Clean, Safe, Staff Friendly, plenty of places nearby to eat. Breakfast supplied is ample and of decent quality, food for linch or dinner in the hotel restaurant is good though limited menu, space for seating is very limited inside the restaurant, water pressure in the shower is excellent the room safe is large. The BAD: Room Small like an IBIS, Bathroom smaller than an IBIS, A/C in my room was "marginal" at best and previous stays here noticed this, Elevator very slow, the worst part this is not a business hotel. While the Internet provided is decent, there is NO work space available at all in the rooms. NO electrical outlets available all are hidden behind furniture or the bed and no desk type area. Had to charge my phone in the bathroom outlet and use computer on battery. Also had a room phone and minor toilet issue which I reported twice and nothing was done. DO NOT have the hotel arrange for the hotel taxi to drive you to the airport cost is $50.oo ! Make your own arrangements or get an UBER. CONCLUSION: While on vacation for a couple of days this is a Nice place to stay and see the colonial sights and enjoy the atmosphere. However, "on business" this is not the place to stay. I will be returning on business for a longer stay in late January or early February, unfortunately I will have to stay elsewhere.

Great location in the center of the city and walking distance to fabulous restaurants and very lively, good energy. The rooms were clean and the staff very friendly and helpful! I will definitely stay here again, my only issue was the spotty Internet service. Other than that unresolved issue, I enjoyed a great safe space.

Everything was wonderful. You can go up to the terrace Solarium for a better view of the city. Staff are very attentive especially housekeeping and in the dining room. The complimentary breakfast is delightful 😊
