Clean and very good room service, good quality breakfast, nice and welcoming staff except in rooftop restaurant with rude staff that treated us as if they were serving us for free while the prices for tourists are 6 times the normal prices. The hotel is located in a very convenient location. Rooms are very clean, and personnel are very friendly. The breakfast buffet offers excellent food options. A beautiful hotel. The room is narrow and needs a simple update. The location is more than wonderful. The reception is very respectful. The security is polite and respectful. The breakfast is on the top floor and has the most beautiful view of the Alexandria Sea.

Hospitality from the parking to the reception and during the stay was so warm. Housekeeping and many request can take sometime due to the high season occupation with a little amount of staff. I suggest increasing the manpower during high season for a complete perfect stay.

Perfect get away destination for families and couples, staff are very helpful and friendly food quality is super - especially a las carte menu. They can get overwhelmed during high season. But a great over all experience that I am willing to repeat anytime.

Its so nice the pool is big even tho its looks small from far away, the pool had insects and spiders and beetles,the bunk bed in the kids room is dangerous.

The best hotel in town.. I had an exceptional experience! I traveled to the US, Europe and Gulf and many other places in Egypt and couldn't find a great place and service like I found in Portosaid hotel. A MUST visit place. The room was a decent size, the shower was very good. Breakfast food was good in part: my mushroom omelettes, freshly made for me were great; but the fruit choices were disappointing and mostly the feed was targeted at local clientele. Basma hotel is good value. They've updated and modernize all the rooms and public areas. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. If you have to leave early in the morning and can't make the excellent breakfast buffet, you can ask for a breakfast box. The best option is Basma for it's price.

One of the best and cleanest hotels I have ever stayed in. The place is very beautiful and psychologically relaxing. My family and I visit it every Eid or during summer and winter vacations. The rooms are cleaned daily. The glasses and plates are always dirty; it's healthier to use cardboard cups for drinks. The food may vary depending on taste, but we didn't find anything that particularly appealed to us. The chicken, meatballs, and meats are usually burnt. There's a smell when you enter the restaurant; I think it might be the same everywhere. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the evenings...

The hotel is located within walking distance from Al Montazah Park. The room was nicely cleaned, but the bed linen was old and in spools. We asked for wine glasses, but they only brought us plastic cups, which was disappointing. I would not stay in this hotel for more than one night.
