Hotel Abbot

The room was clean but the size and amenities feel like a 3 star. The bed is very light for some reason, it moves whenever I move. Since I didn't pay a 4 star room rate either it's understandable. In general the receptionists are nice and helpful but I also think they could try to look and sound more courteous. (In short, these men need to smile more)

My room WAS a little small it must be said, however.... they were kind enough to give me the room as soon as I arrived at 9am, which is very good service.
I complained about 2 basin plugs and the maintenance staff attended to it. The fact that the basin still did not hold water, after the repair, is note worthy. How many people want to fill up a basin with water, right?
The hotel is in a very good location, just a short walk away from the main station and the lovely shopping mall of Las arenas.
The breakfast was great,
No 'alternative' milks were on offer, eg: unsweetened almond milk.
Bed was comfy and the room was clean. There was a bar fridge but no in-room coffee/tea facilities.
The toiletries are good. The long mirrors attached to the cupboard door, is a good idea for viewing yourself, but then they had stuck pictures to block the mirror right in the middle, thus defeating the objective of it being a long-length mirror.
Do not go to this hotel if you want a good view from the window....I was seeing the back of another building with all the washing lines, this was probably my greatest dislike, however, when on holiday you should not be in your room....you should be there only to clean-up and sleep :)
Generally, I was happy with this Abbot and I would visit again.

We stayed for a week and had a very good time. Simple rooms but with everything you need. Excellent breakfast. Excellent availability of the staff. Close to Sants Estaciò and the metro. I recommend it and we will return.

I got a good enough price on this place, but as other reviews have said, it is absolutely not up to par with the "4 star" moniker and I feel like their reviews would be better if they updated their description and adapted pricing accordingly.

Positives: The hotel was clean, quiet, and in a great location. The bed was comfortable enough.

Negatives: The bathrooms are awkwardly shaped and not good for accessibility. The furniture was a little dated. The trash bins were far too small. The mini-fridge was filled with drinks but there was no indication of pricing so they did not get touched - a huge waste of space in the fridge. The breakfast is too expensive for what it is.

I would recommend this place as a budget hotel. With that being said, there are some limitations holding this place back.

Initial feel was not so excited and could be satisfied as a 3 star hotel. However, as the day 3 approached , we started to feel happier as the location is best as closer to Hop on Hop off bus starting point☺, then equally close to Train station for us to leave for Valencia by Euro rail on check out day. Good hotels for dining Indian food and street market all are very close as well.
