Hesperia Del Mar Mini-hotel

Deeply disappointing.cannot be near 4-star hotel!
It is more a 2-star hotel or below !!!
1) Small bed and room.
2)room cleaning is not ok .
3) kettle is low quality. Few cofe sachet
4) outdated furniture and carpets .
5) v Basic hotel , not sure if you can call it hotel .
6) breakfast is just ok . Old tables and chairs in restaurant.
7) one lamb is faulty .

I would prefer extra money for another hotel than stay in this hotel .

Apart from location , nothing is positive

If you want some privacy and rest, go someplace else. The staff startled us from our sleep on 2 of the 3 mornings we stayed there - in spite of the Do Not Disturb sign on the door. First morning, someone knocked loudly on the door, then immediately started opening it with the master key. I was in bed and my husband was taking a shower. When I jumped to see what was the matter, the man said he was there to refill the minibar. I told him we don’t need it, but he insisted until I asked him to leave. On our last morning there, my husband left at 7am for an early flight, and I tried to sleep some more as my flight was later. Not possible, as an hour later, the maid knocked loudly several times and tried to get in. When I went to see what was the matter, she said that ‘she saw the customer leave’ - so naturally I must have evaporated, even though the reservation was in my name and we were both checked into the room.

The facilities were not those of a 4-star hotel either. Unfortunately, this is a 2-star hotel charging 4-star hotel rates.

The room is very old, you can see it in the details, the bathroom needs lots of maintenance, there are no electric sockets next to the bed, the cover of the blankets are not comfortable... very unsatisfied.
