The good: location is convenient to the subway.

The bad: Walls are paper thin, you can hear the water in the other room. The table in the room had not been wiped down and had a sticky residue on it. No AC, Front desk staff is rude- do not understand the concept of customer service, address you like you are under their supervision. One employee told me to stop talking after i criticized his lack of customer service for yelling.

Not worth the price. Suggest spending a little extra € for something better.

Great location , the room was small but spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable. Having a small fridge would have been very helpful but not a dealbreaker.

However the room we stayed in (221) was too hot and the air conditioner would only work if it was set to the fan mode (i.e. without cooling the air). I was told that the room was warm because it was close to the boiler but that you cannot use the air conditioner to bring down the temperature (!) the only thing we could do was turn off the main heating in the room - which we did, but it was still too hot.

Thankfully we found that by opening the window and keeping it open, the room would eventually cool down enough to sleep (by around midnight). It did mean there was noise from the street, but it was more passable than the heat. There was also a buzzing sound which was audible when the air con was off.

This is really silly, why would you have an air conditioner that doesn't really work as an air conditioner, especially when the room is so hot?

This was my seventh visit to Barcelona since 2019 and the worst stay of any hotel I have ever stayed in. The property was clean, I will give them that much. But other than that, the price I paid of over $250 a night was definitely not worth it. I was willing to overlook the location, the tiny rooms, the fact that I had to put my electric tea kettle on the floor because the outlet was not reachable with the tiny cord, the noise at night from the other rooms: toilets flushing, showers, conversations to be heard from other rooms, etc., but what upset me most was the service. The staff was unprofessional. They are rude and have zero manners. We walked out of the breakfast room with a cup of coffee and the manager verbally attacked us in front of everyone. He said that we can't take LUNCH out of the breakfast room. I was not aware that my half full cup of coffee was now deemed lunch. There was no written policy that coffee or any food for that matter can't be removed from the cafeteria. The manager JUAN CARLOS who yelled at us about the coffee could have approached us in a more professional manner. He has zero etiquette and has no business managing a hotel. Also, you get one very old and flimsy towel per guest per day. When I asked for another towel, they told me to reuse my towel. I will never set foot in this establishment nor will I recommend it to anyone. I have paid less to stay in much nicer hotels, at much better locations, with hotel staff that are commendable at their jobs. The only good thing about this hotels is their breakfast staff. Marco is commendable at his job. The breakfast room is impeccable and his Sevice was amazing.

We got out 3o min after the check out and the hotel charges us 20 euros . I went to the reception to say to him why he does this we are client and… He get mad and He didn’t let me talking with him . I told him we should respect each other and listen to each other. After He was shooting and screaming. I told him we should stop the discussion because he was disrespecting me. He was screaming and just imagine he call the police and get me out ! I never saw this never!! The hotel was good but the personal are not professional and not welcoming.
At the end the police get from us 350 euros unbelievable 🤮.

The hotel itself is fine, it's clean and basic and what you would expect from a two star. The staff are HORRIBLE. I have never been made to feel LESS welcome in an establishment I'm paying to stay in in all of my life. When we arrived we asked if there was any chance we could check in early and the receptionist laughed at us and said no, two of our friends who were staying nearby came to meet us and waited in the lobby and they went to go sit in two chairs on the side of lobby and the receptionist shouted at them and told them not to move and "to stay where he can see them" which they were understandably really upset by. Then we came in one night and fancied a cup of tea so asked if there was any chance of getting any milk and were met with a flat "no.", no explanation like the kitchen is closed, not even a "sorry" they are just unbarably rude. It's as if they are annoyed by the fact that you are there. My friend left her retainer on the table at breakfast and was shouted at when she tried to get it back from the dining room. The kitchen staff were gorgeous and helped her find it but the reception staff are so horrible and rude it's nearly funny. I've never experienced anythingike it. The breakfast is nothing to write home about, it's just some cut up fruit and a few bits of ham and cheese. The WiFi is shocking and doesnt work half the time, barely get any in our room. Overall I would NEVER stay here again and I would NEVER recommend it to anyone. If you're thinking of booking this place do yourself a favour and go literally anywhere else.
