This place was incredible. From the comfort of the rooms, to the rooftop infinity pool & bar, I didn't want to leave the hotel. The bed was so comfortable, the sheets were soft, the tub was huge. They left bottles of water on the bedside table, chocolate on the bed, and personal touches to make the stay feel special. The continental breakfast was the best I've ever had, so many foods to choose from. The guest service was above and beyond, they even helped to celebrate my friend's birthday!! I would highly recommend this place.

We really enjoyed our stay at Grand Central. The hotel and rooftop were magnificent. The room was very chic and comfortable. The staff were on point! The drinks on the roof are grand, the dinner I would pass on. Would absolutely recommend this hotel if in Barcelona.

Grand Hotel Central is fantastic for all areas we needed. The staff, location and overall amenities were 5star! We had breakfast in the morning that was just delicious. The gym is clean and has enough equipment needed while traveling. Roof top area w the bar and pool is amazing!

We stayed here and it was absolutely amazing! The room was nice and amazing location in the Gothic area where near everything was within walking distance.
What really set the hotel apart for me was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. From check in, baggage handlers, cleaning staff, concierge... Everyone was amazing. The day staff at the restaurant and pool were specifically amazing and helpful/accommodating/fun.
We will definitely be back here! Amazing experience!

We highly recommend the Grand Hotel Central! This was our first time in Barcelona, but as far as we could tell, the location can't be beat! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and let us check in when we arrived at 10:30 am! The hotel itself is clean, safe and aesthetically pleasing. The rooftop lounge offers beautiful views of the city, as does the refreshingly cool infinity pool! This hotel was a great value and we hope to revisit soon!

We are world travelers and we have never experienced exceptional service like this at any hotel ever. The check in attendants met us at the door before we even went inside to take our bags to our room. The people at the greeting desk were so polite and immediately got us refreshments. Our room was even ready early. Best hotel and service in Barcelona!

A very central location in a good area close to the shopping area and museums, also the city beach is not far. The terrace is great with a pool and they also have great breakfast. The service at the reception is good but not amazing, our room was pretty small too

Honestly great hotel - perfect location in the heart of the old town. OVERVIEW: Spacious and clean rooms with nice bathrooms. The beds are comfortable and the hotel is quiet despite the busy area. The hotel has a lobby bar and a library. Bar prices are in line with restaurant prices, but room service is a bit more expensive. I would stay away from the minibar, especially since chocolate and water are provided free of charge at the hotel every night. ATTENTION: the last two floors are an oasis of relaxation and fun. The sauna, hammam and spa treatments are worth the money, while the rooftop patio bar and pool will leave you in awe. Bonus: They have a 110-240V compatible plug, perfect for the North American traveler. WARNING: Dim lighting and air recirculation, which can be important after long-haul flights. However, the room smells fresh and clean and most travelers won't notice it.

This is a wonderful boutique feel hotel in a great location. Our only disappointment was that the room we were in had an open bathroom concept making it uncomfortable to share with my guest. We had to leave the room for the other to have privacy. If it wasn't for that, it would have been perfect

An incredible rooftop and perfect location - but this hotel does not meet 5-star standards. Travellers familiar with luxury hotels will need to adjust their expectations.
Barcelona’s old town is like New York in terms of small room sizes and high prices, that’s normal.
However what is not normal is the number of issues we noticed at the 5-star property. The room had a sticky light switch causing a flickering light in the bathroom. The bathroom door did not align properly and would not fully close. The chromecast on the TV was not working. The Wi-Fi was VERY slow. The QR code on the room key for the hotel directory was not working. There was only one dressing gown in the room for the two of us. When we declined turndown service a note was slipped under the door with a different guests name on it…
Another example of poor attention to detail was our reservation for the sun lounges by the pool - you must book a 2hr slot. When we arrived they were not ready and we had to wait 10min to be seated. That is not 5-star level service.
I would not mind any of these things at a 3 or 4 star hotel, but my expectations of Grand Hotel Central were much higher. If details matter to you, you might find better value for your money elsewhere.
