Ilunion Barcelona

Despite the location in Poblenou, which is great, my experience was not very good. My room was leaking water from the air conditioning unit. The soap dispenser was basically empty and not refilled. Breakfast was very expensive and the selection was not very good.
The room cleaning service team was very friendly and helpful and accommodating. That was the only good thing about the hotel.

There are two parts: the lobby, breakfast area and in between level with the gym, which looks a modern comfortable hotel deserving 4 stars and then the rooms.
Stayed at the sixth floor, good view to the city and that was it about the good part of the review.
The room’s probably were good once an upon a time. Now the furniture is weared out and broken, the mattress is bouncy and squeaking with each movement. The rooms wasn’t clean at our arrival. Had hairs in the bathroom floor and in the room.
Now the “best” part. I am all in favor of people doing whatever they want even concerning drugs. I have no problems with how weed smells… but… the corridor was smelling like a weed smoke house. Of course the smell was felt inside the room. Spoke with the admission gentleman’s, explained the situation and I was told they could do nothing. They tell people on checking in they are not allowed to smoke and there’s nothing more they could do… the phone and it’s numbers to dial the services don’t work, the window is broken and to close needs a good lateral push..

So count on these different issues.
Location wise the neighbor is a preview on the changing bad location with a lot of people with drug and drinking problems sleeping on the streets. It is a good 10 min walk to the subway. Near by there are good restaurants in the most recovered street in the area.. hope it helps

I wish that there was minus star's to put, for a charge of 220€ per night (of season) the hotel and their services where joke being my self in the industry I've never seen something like that, the rooms have sentral cooling which means that you can not adjust your room temperature, I booked the room for my parents the room on the one side was all glass which made the room a greenhouse so they could not sleep while the sun was out , when we asked the reception their solution was to open the windows.....
they didn't have basic amenities like slippers .

Also the smell of marijuana was everywhere in that place, in the elevator even in my parents room can't imagine a family with kids staying under those conditions, really don't worth to bother staying in that place
