The MO House

DO NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL. To start off, the hotel gives you the option to choose what time you would like to check in, therefore we assumed that we could check in at our selected time which was 10am. We went to the hotel at around 10:30am and we were told that the room will be done at 3pm. We did not complain about this and just went into town although we had been awake since 3am. We went back at 3pm and we were once again told that one of the rooms was not ready. At this point we started to get annoyed but still did not make any fuss. However this was far from the worst part. Our flight to go back home was in the middle of the night therefore we did not book the room for the night as we were told we could leave our luggages in the storage room until our flight. They made it very clear that we could pick up our luggages at any time during the night as we had the passcode to the door. We went to go pick up our luggages about 3 hours before our flight as we still had a 30 min drive to the airport. To our surprise when we arrived, the storage room was locked with no key around. We called the hotel many many times and no answer. We started to panick as we had our passports and documents in the luggages. We tried to reach the hotel for about 30 mins until we gave up and called the police. The police did not speak a word of english and cut the phone on me. By some miracle, my mother who was in another country managed to contact the hotel to open the room for us and a worker arrived to open. We were in a massive hurry and panic and this is the part that annoyed me the most. The girl that came to open the door was a disgustingly arrogant and unprofessional person and i am writing this review purposely to shed light on her. She came into the hotel with her head down not even looking at us. The first thing i expected was an apology for nearly missing our flight but she refused to apologize and claimed that she doesn’t speak English well. I started speaking to my friends in my language and she turned around, snapped her fingers in my face and told me “if you swear at me in you language i will waste more time for you”. This was a mistake made by the hotel and she had the nerve to act like that. She started fighting with us and did not want to apologize. This was a terrible experience and she is not qualified to be working in hospitality. Not to meantion that the sheets and glasses do not get changed and one of the nights they forgot to make our bed. After all this, we did not get any compensation and NOT EVEN ONE APOLOGY, not even after nearly missing our flight

This place is the worst. They sent an e-mail requesting info for check-in, I sent them info twice, I did not receive any e-mail on how to check-in. Since they do not have a receptionist, I called, text, and e-mailed them when I at the gate. They did not respond to any of my communications. I spent 3 hours trying to contact them without any response. Ended up booking at another hotel. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

The one good thing about this place is good location. Close to everything. It’s not worth the price we paid for. It takes 10 minutes to get hot water in the morning so get up earlier if you have to be somewhere.

There’s no reception at front desk. They didn’t leave us drinking water and when we called one of the numbers, she told us to go get them at a nearby grocery. This is the kind of service we had. Definitely not recommend this place. We won’t be staying here next time in BCN.
