Hotel Paseo de Gracia in Barcelona

The hotel has a fantastic location — right next to the Diagonal metro stop, making it easy to get around the city. It’s also just steps away from the luxury shopping on Passeig de Gracia and even close to a Global Blue office, which was very convenient for tax refunds.

The room itself was modern, comfortable in size, and the bathroom was kept very clean. Overall, the space felt updated and practical for a city stay.

That said, there were a few drawbacks during our visit. The soundproofing is limited, so street noise from cars was noticeable at night. On our first night, the AC unit kept shutting off, making the room uncomfortably warm and leaving us unsure how to resolve it. The biggest issue, however, came on our third night when the hot water stopped working. Unfortunately, the staff could only say it would be fixed the next day, which wasn’t ideal — especially as I wasn’t feeling well and had to shower in cold water.

Aside from that incident, the shower worked fine on the other nights. Overall, the hotel has a lot of positives, especially in terms of location and cleanliness, but improvements in soundproofing, AC consistency, and responsiveness to urgent issues like hot water would make the experience much better.
